FYI Max Advanced Brakes are located in Markham Ontario and their elite brake kits are a fraction the price of Powerstop garbage and they are made right here in Canada with better quality grey iron for their drilled and slotted rotors. When I do brakes for people I only use Max brakes or I don't do them

@ddcgarage5482
@ddcgarage5482 9 месяцев назад
Thanks! And Yes I do have an update. The drums seem to hold up pretty well. Obviously this depends on how often you use them and what for, but I've had pretty good luck with them. I actually just used it to strip the paint off the hood of a camaro and the drums are still fine.

Thanks for the update! I had just bought the HF version just before I started watching videos on using them and its supposed to be compatible with the eastwood drums. If the HF ones wear out quick I may try the Eastwood drums to see if they have a longer life @@ddcgarage5482

Born in 1962, I was 7 years old and I remember my dad bought a brand new 1969 Mercury Marquis Brougham (Might have been a Grand model, not sure) It was a very dark olive green color with vinyl white top. My mom and dad divorced in 1973 and my mom ended up with the car. I am just reminiscing back on a converation my mom was having with a friend of hers around 1975 - 1976 when she mentioned the car had a 502cid engine. I thought about that and decided to see if Mercury Marquis did come out with such an engine. I can not really find anything on this. However, my dad did have a thing for powerful engines in all the cars he had....... (Fast forward to 1978) So in 1978 my mom wanted a new car, so she went to look at between a 1978 Camaro or Mustang II. She decided on a Mustang II Ghia BUT did a "special factory order" (not really sure what extras special order she did but insisted on a V8 [in this case the 302cid] and who knows what all else. So mentioning this it occurred to me, maybe my picked up on what my dad liked, perhaps he special ordered a 502 for the Marquis?

I just can't believe how many of these ugly ass green cars survived. Mopar especially had some horrid green cars and for some reason, they are still around in abundance. But to each their own, I guess. Nice ride though. I grew up in the '60's and '70's and remember those boats well. Never a small car fan.
