There should be a way to pacify them for a little while so I don't have to battery dump spamming my seamoth perimeter defense, but what can you do I suppose.
I'm able to park my sea moth outside my base without them attacking it if I have the headlights turned off, so maybe that's what the PDA means by distracted by lights. Of course, since you can't manually turn off the lights on the prawn, not much help there. Also surprised the video didn't mention that while they're not all that dangerous alone, they go around in packs so you get a death by a thousand cuts sort of thing. at least that's been my experience. Imo they're up there with the lava lizards for most annoyingly dangerous to my vehicles
The Shadow Leviathan is super cool looking, but after getting attacked by it a million times and having to get out and repair my truck every five seconds because of it, I have come to despise the otherwise cool creature.
Love your vid’s I took my revenge when I got a stasis rifle because when I needed shale outcrops they attacked my seamoth relentlessly so I took my revenge has been served (:<
I hate these guys they are unoriginal stupid sharks which bite my vehicles even when I'm not in them Only redeeming quality is that I'm breeding an army of them to harass my local reaper
Very jealous of that shotgun. Unlike Stalkers, Bonesharks are usually faced a tad too deep to eliminate with the classic repulsor cannon-> anti-air platform combo. Bastards chewing up my seamoth.
maybe this is just my experience, but it seems like the Bonesharks pursue you a lot longer than most other enemies in the game, i've had a couple times where one or two have even chased me into another biome while in a seamoth
Fellow 4546B researcher here, I actually have some extra insight on bonesharks. I created a base in the floating islands biome to do research on the bonesharks, and it turns out they are actually less dangerous than most people think. After only a couple of hits from the knife, they will swim away, and after doing this a few times, the bonesharks actually left me alone comepletely, which means that they can be deterred without killing them outright. They still didn't like my vehicles though, so I had to park mine outside the territory.
These came to scare me more than a reaper. Once you know where a reaper it is you can keep a safe distance from it, but the sandshark will attack you when you least expect it while exploring and collecting resources in advanced areas. Plus the many times they almost destroyed my Seamoth. 😢
I played through the game without encountering a reaper, but these were protecting important tech while being too numerous to fight off or avoid. Basically like having a self destruct timer om the seamoth while exploring. Bastards.
