I am a Wildlife Photographer from the UK, but I am currently working as a photo guide in Kenya. I will be posting videos of me taking pictures and showing you what I do when on safari.
Hi I am new to this channel thanks for the tips I am a nikon shooter currently my longest lens is the nikonz 100-400 I also have a 70-200 do you think this is good enough for safari or should I pick up the nikonz 180-600mm and combine it with the 70-200 as a kit with my z9 and z8 thanks we are heading to the Serengeti September. 2025
going to Tanzania next week, soaking up all I can on photography on RU-vid… I really like your videos, and love listening to your soothing voice when you speak. Thanks!
I'm going to Alaska soon and was wondering if my 24-200 and 180-600 are enough...I will also use on my Z8 and Z9. Would 24-70 & 70-200 f2.8 be a better choice?
Fantastic attempt like always Felix. Appreciate if you'd like to create a tutorial video on processing photos ..esp the giraffe's with black cloud background
"Does this collar make my butt look big"? Great video. I photographed 15 Grizzlies last month in Yellowstone. 3 of them were wearing collars. I would be very interested in a video showing how the collars on wildlife has proven themselves to be invaluable to their conservation.
Thanks Felix - it's very interesting to see how they go about this. It was also interesting to see the reversing of the sedative, and can't help but wonder what she's thinking about this thing around her neck.
Hi, Felix. superb videos and narration, excellent images shown at the conclusion of the video, on a technical note You use mainly one shot mode, I assume as you are photographing static subjects that is enough.most other wildlife photographers use multi speed exposure, I would appreciate your comments
Wonderful videos, Felix! Your photos literally took my breath away. As I prepare to go back on safari I am interested to learn more about how you shoot out of the vehicle. When you are hanging over the side do you use the back screen turned up towards you? I always shoot with the EVF but am not sure how you manage to hang vertically and shoot horizontally ;-) I recently purchased a radio wireless remote after I read about someone who uses a monopod hanging out of the vehicle. I can't wait to go back and "hangout" (literally!) with the incredible wildlife in the Masai Mara!
Another great video. I got back from Kenya last week and being a very, very amateur photographer was keen to learn as much as possible before going. I watched pretty much all of your videos and learnt loads so thanks very much. Even more envious of your job now than before I went. Incredible place. Will be watching them as they keep coming to relive the experience. Thanks!
What’s your set up for the videos of the lions and buffalo? Are you using the 300 or 70-200? Do you also add ND while filming? And take it off for photos?
Great concise photography wisdom. I subscribed and look forward to learning more that helps me experience my own photography better. Flying to Tanzania in a week.
