Just an everyday dude trying to flesh out what armed citizenship looks like in a crazy world. I'm 24, a father, and have fallen in love with the firearms community and take self and family protection very seriously. I don't know it all but I hope that some of my experiences and messing around can help you out on your journey!
My Prodigy now has zero mim parts all aftermarket except the slide frame and grip, and is still well under a Staccato for price. I can comfortably say not only is it better than a Staccato, but it also makes my friends who went with a Staccato and shoot my Prodigy say wtf 😂. I have a few different 2011s and the Prodigy is hands down my favorite.
1) Extra tension main springs are used to insure ignition. The reason for ignition problems are most often firing pin related. You saved enough on the gun, spend the money to replace the MIM parts, firing pin included. THEN you can reduce the spring to the more normal range. 2) When you can get pistol specific magwells, i don't see the point. Regardless, ruining an expensive grip instead of modifying the cheap magwell is counter intuitive. But, if you insist on being foolish, you can do a much better job with a flat file and a little patience without buggering everything up!
My first rig was a truck bed tent, not a permanent truck mod, just a tent for my truck and a second 3 person tent. Filled the bed of a frontier with camping essentials. Loved it, everything else is superfluous. Get out there.
Im sorry i wanted to like this video just for the idea of it but ...you have a 600 dollar tent and one of the most expensive older 4x4s on the market.... talking about how you don't need to spend a lot of money on camping. Seems very hypocritical.
My main point was spend money on the areas that will have the most impact for your needs. Whether that means budget items for every category of gear or splurging on the sleep or kitchen setup and then pulling back for other items. $600 for a tent is pretty mid tier if you ask me.
Cool video. Love how the Landcruiser is coming along. Good advice especially as Minnesota is more of just a camping state, rather than overlanding/"vehicle dependent travel" etc. You just don't need a fancy rig here. It's mostly for fun 😂
I have a Glock 19 that I got second hand from a law enforcement friend. Between the two of us, it has over 75,000 rounds through it. It still works. It's not my favorite gun, it's not my most accurate gun and it's not my EDC anymore, but I know if I ever need it, I can pick it up and it'll work every time. I'll never not have a Glock on hand in my firearm collection.
My Coleman 2-burner propane stove hails from the late 1970s. Still works! Lol Besides, I’m more of just a weekenderlander anyway. I’m quoting that term from Mike of Last Line of Defense. 😂
Great video man, I’ve been thinking this for a while. Like a lot of people I fell into the Overlanding trap and spent way too much money only to realize that the quality is the people and not the gear. I have so much fun, when I’m not worried about how cool my rig is or how much more stuff I need to buy.
I think in todays society we need more realistic videos like this and not made to feel like a piece of shiii for not having a $250k setup. Most of us just wanna have fun in the old school camping way
I live in Eagan, was checking out that FFL you always mention, dk mags, on Maps. I see theres a Pho shop across the street, have you ever tried it, any good? Its kinda far away but if theres two reasons to go up to New Brighton then I kinda can't resist lol That chair was one I looked into months ago, was sorely tempted to buy but got distracted and forgot about it. Now here I am back to sorely tempted! Glad you could make the camping trip despite the vehicle snafu. I went with a few buddies earlier this summer and was introduced to a suspended tent for the first time. Three of us fit comfortably and had to use a rope ladder to climb in, it was like 10 feet up lol it was kinda awesome. Another friend tested out his own suspended deal where you are in sitting position, like you in that chair, and just zip it closed and snooze. Crazy!
I go to Pho400 after DK Mags lol. Either sit in for Pho or grab some Banh Mi sandwiches to go. It's not bad and the folks are nice. Feels like a spot you'd find in Saint Paul or Brooklyn Center.
Ooo I have not tried it. Maybe I'll have to turn it into professional development opp and give it a try! I've embarrassingly never had pho before tho so I might not be a good person to make a recommendation haha. Yeah haha I do really like their chairs man they're kind of like Blackmagic how comfy it is for the size. Suspended tents sound pretty cool!
Good content. I'd recommend putting witness marks on your optic screws. That way, you'll if your screws are backing out or you've got something else going on. I like the FDE finish on the comp. When I got my sigle port back when black was all they had.
When Archangel Michael was at the brink of losing to the Devil and his legions of demons, it was the Lord who intervened, bestowing Michael with a flaming weapon. Michael then uttered the only words in scripture. “The Lord Rebuke You.” Ending the conflict swiftly. So God understood that there was a necessity in the use of weapons to protect our lives and those whom we protect, just as the Lord was protecting His kingdom.
I had kore essentials belt before but switch to the hunter constantine belt it might be helpful since you have back or hip pain. It felt much better to check it out. It will allow you to carry with pants or shorts without belt loops Also, it is always awesome seeing another Asian American conceal carry
Mine came with two 16s if it matters. I purchased 4 additional mags one of which is a 15. The 16s are breaking in but the 15 took the full compliment of 15 right off. This pistol was seemingly made for my hand, perfect fit and feel. I stick with iron sights and won’t make any modifications, great shooter right out of the box.
U have gun to save u what if it jams up you carry a knife that u can’t do nothing but open box now u tell me what wrong with that picture think about it
Anything can really be used as a weapon in a pinch. A Civivi knife would certainly qualify as a lethal tool but it was not designed with that as a primary function.
Great video man. This is something I battled internally with when getting my first gun and eventually CC. The lord knows my heart and he knows that while I get enjoyment out of training and working on guns (especially buying them), I would never get enjoyment out of using it against someone in defense of my family but I also would not hesitate to defend my family. As a Christian I obviously don’t want to take a life and I hope I never have to but if that day ever comes I’m sure I would find my strength through prayer and my family. Keep up the good work tho man. Love your channel, wishing you and your family the best
I have a Gen 3 and a Gen 4 19c. The first shot out of the Gen 3 I had a FTE using WWB. I've never had another issue with them. Great pistols, the Gen 4 is a fantastic pistol. The measure able differences in times, for me, are zero or very close to it vs a regular 19. I really want a 32c.
For $200 less than any other Glock, hell yeah it’s still relevant. I like CHEAP guns with QUALITY. For a sacrifice of only 5 rounds per magazine and a comfortable slim frame, it was a great buy.
Amen brother. As a Christian and a self defender, I think it comes down to our convictions. For my self I serve on our safety team at my church and we are ready to protect the flock if needed. Always praying that i never have to. I was out at the range with some brothers the other day and it was a great time, we had a time of prayer before hand and it was a great time of fun and fellowship. Thank you for this video. It may not get all the views but it’s important to live our faith out genuinely for others to see. God bless.
Good to see a year later you're spitting the same ignorance as before. Luckily your channel really isn't growing, so at least people are safe in that respect. Just edjucate yourself....... jfc
The Lord calls us to be a city on a hill. Being vocal about faith is our only option if we want to call ourselves bondservants to Christ Jesus. Do not be afraid to proclaim the only truth, before the world hated you it hated Him first. God bless brother and continue to be a protector.
“So, basically, I wanted to make sure each and every single piece of this build was sketchy, unreliable, or needed modifications in order to work-ish most of the time. Also, nothing matches.”. I sincerely hope that’s not your edc, dog.
