At The Natural Capital Project we’re developing practical tools and approaches to account for nature’s contributions to society, so that leaders of countries, companies, communities, and organizations worldwide can make smarter decisions for a more sustainable future. Centered at Stanford University, we operate as a partnership with University of Minnesota, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Stockholm Resilience Centre, The Nature Conservancy, and the World Wildlife Fund. We are a team of academics, software engineers, and real-world professionals with the optimism, commitment, and humility to work together. Our common quest is to shine a light on the intimate connections between people and nature, and to reveal, test, and scale ways of securing the well-being of both. Most of these videos are also featured in our online course, NCP101: An Introduction to the Natural Capital Approach. Enrollment is free and open on a rolling basis at ncp101.class.stanford.edu
Dear Ma'am, Thank you so much for the wonderful presentation. Just curious to know how do we get the biophysical table. Could you please guide me for that? Thank you again.

Thanks a lot! Is it suitable for marine conservation assessment, for example when sand reclamation activities are planned or when dams are installed? Like how fish diversity is affected or water salinity changes, affecting mangroves?
I am a Phd student at UWA pursuing environmental economics. I was just wondering if there are any trainings for invest model in regards to watershed conservation or related? I am desperately looking for one of it.
Thank you very much for the provided tutorial, which quickly introduced me to the environment of the InVEST model. I wanted to ask you about the availability of the Land cover biophysical table you show in the video. As I found out, it differs from the sampled data (simplified land cover types, e.g. forests, grasslands etc.) that can be downloaded on your official website. For my research, however, it is important to distinguish not only land cover types but also the type of crop, as shown in this video. Is such a detailed Land cover biophysical table available?
Hello! Thanks for the great overview of the Model! One Question concerning the Rain-events: I have hourly precip data. So does that mean, that I can have multiple rain events a day when there is one or more hours with <0.1mm in between?
I want to learn Invest Model because I am working on urban ecosystem services. I am a beginner and I don't know how to use Invest model. Please guide me or give me a link where I learn about this model step by step. Thank you in advance

Hello, thanks for share this information of the SYW model. It would be nice to have an explanation or tutorial for Water Yield model of InVest's. I want to know where I can get the root_depth and kc data from different LULC covers and not just for crops.

Hi, I am Nicolas and I am using the SWY model for a university work, I would like to know from where I can get the Kc values for land cover (not crops but land cover such as bare agricultural soil, forest plantations, shrublands, among others). I am a bit uncertain about what values I should use. Greetings from Chile.

Thank you for the session Stacie. I wish to a coastal vulnerability model for India. So can you tell me how I choose my projected coordinate system? Will UTM 45N work for India?
