I did 20 laps on the Dale Jarrett program about 9 years ago. Did 176mph but I was 68 years old. It was crazier than it looks.

That's great. Early 1900's technology radios. "Mary had a little lamb."

Decades ago I owned a Superbird, and built a nice 426 Hemi for it. Everytime I watch videos like this I wish I could go back in time and run that thing around this track a few times.

You must have noticed very poor battery life before this happened or swollen cells.

What was your max RPM and what ground maximum speed did they credit for your 2nd drive. My last drive at Daytona was 153 +. Thanks in advance.

I just googled the prices, what a rip off. RPMs are limited and some prices were $1200-$3500. Dumb

for that price you can pickup a nice go kart take it to a local oval track and rent some track time, much better experience, even if it isnt a stock car

The shitty part about the nascar experience or Richard petty driving experience is you don’t really get to experience anything besides being strapped into a car. I’ve hit 175 mph on I-95 and it’s more exciting than this. Mainly because you don’t have some static asshole yelling in your ear to slow down when you clearly have 2-3 car widths to pass. I did the nascar driving experience at Daytona and every time I got up to 180 mph they told me to slow down. I was a bit confused because I thought it was a “Nascar driving experience?” Last I remember these cars can do almost 200 mph around Daytona. So basically it’s not worth the money. If you already have a ballsack of steel and push 180 on the highway then this is like riding go karts. As of now I’m banned from this because I ripped the com device out of the helmet and hammered down and hit 196 mph around the track, it was damn well worth it though. So if you do the nascar experience make sure to disable the communication device on the helmet if you really want to have some fun. A little advice though they are older models so if you push it to hard it will slide in the turns. I found that 196 mph on the straights and 192 on the turns was the best for these cars. But if you can beat that more power to ya. Have fun and be safe/reckless ;)

It was better when Dale Jarrett had a school at Dega. Once they get to know you and see you can handle the car, they give you some liberties. I got to 184 mph with a different restrictor plate on the car and had an instructor riding shotgun who knew me. Jarrett got into financial problems in 2014 and is out of business.

What did the certificate you got say you did as far as top speed? According to the video clock starting at 3:38 to 4:51 that was one 2.66 mile lap. The math says you did 131-132mph.

You much better off with the instructor riding shotgun. Allows you to do more.

Damnnn you get to drive alone?😯😯
@tbeevers

Yep...if you do it, pay the extra and get the 3 session minimum. The 1st session is just getting used to the car which makes the 2nd session more enjoyable but it was over too soon. An extra session would have been perfect

That's awesome. I did the 8laps at Daytona last year and I'm trying to make it to Talladega, I had a guy riding with me
@tbeevers
@tbeevers 5 лет назад
The downside for this one is, since you're by yourself, they put a governor on the rpm's...max'd out around 165 mph I believe. Had a radio with a spotter so about as realistic as it could get but the speed probably wasn't as high as your experience.
@FireManSRTTV

Damn that sucks lol. Yea I want the full rpms lol, my first time at daytona he almost let me have it all even though its not close to a cup car

You do three sessions you they take rev limiter off for last session.
@jonathontalley

wth... RPM limited to 4800rpms. I wanna see 8500!!!
@tbeevers
@tbeevers 6 лет назад
You'll have to buy your own car then. I'll admit the rev limiter was a pain in the a$$. Pretty sure there are other experiences that allow higher rpm's but guy is in car with you...I was more interested in a solo ride. Video looks slower than it actually was. It was a blast.

smooth! side note; will you be happy with venturing into multi-track collaborations on Bandhub =) I most often can do six-string ... Both of us should record together in band-hub! It could be splendid!
