It was better when Dale Jarrett had a school at Dega. Once they get to know you and see you can handle the car, they give you some liberties. I got to 184 mph with a different restrictor plate on the car and had an instructor riding shotgun who knew me. Jarrett got into financial problems in 2014 and is out of business.
Decades ago I owned a Superbird, and built a nice 426 Hemi for it. Everytime I watch videos like this I wish I could go back in time and run that thing around this track a few times.
What did the certificate you got say you did as far as top speed? According to the video clock starting at 3:38 to 4:51 that was one 2.66 mile lap. The math says you did 131-132mph.
You'll have to buy your own car then. I'll admit the rev limiter was a pain in the a$$. Pretty sure there are other experiences that allow higher rpm's but guy is in car with you...I was more interested in a solo ride. Video looks slower than it actually was. It was a blast.
Yep...if you do it, pay the extra and get the 3 session minimum. The 1st session is just getting used to the car which makes the 2nd session more enjoyable but it was over too soon. An extra session would have been perfect
The downside for this one is, since you're by yourself, they put a governor on the rpm's...max'd out around 165 mph I believe. Had a radio with a spotter so about as realistic as it could get but the speed probably wasn't as high as your experience.
for that price you can pickup a nice go kart take it to a local oval track and rent some track time, much better experience, even if it isnt a stock car
