Hi everyone! I'm a Pokémon fan and I'll upload here some short Pokémon games content (especially from the 2D era) such as tips, Retroachievement Tutorials, fun content and more! So if you want to remember the old Pokémon games such as events, battles and more, this is your channel!
Here is the original thread of this hack where you'll find the link to the patch: forums.pokemmo.com/index.php?/topic/40418-ips-moemon-fire-red-revival-project-updated-9-17-2019/ To patch it, you need a backup of your US Version of Pokémon FireRed version 1.0.
I'm currently having fun with an all in game trade team: Onix (Rocky), Machop (Muscle), Spearow (Kenya), Voltorb (Volty), Shuckle (Shuckie), and a Female Dratini to eventually trade for the Dodrio. They level up so fast.
We always can hold our Haunter an everstone to avoid the NPC gets a powerful Gengar😁. Once the game did the same to us in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum in which we had to trade a Medicham to get a Haunter and it was holding an everstone😐 Thanks for commenting and have a nice Pokéday!^^
This is one of the nonse ingame trades in a Pokémon video game so far. And it's not valid any Dragonair, it has to be specifically a female Dragonair to get a Dodrio, a Pokémon that also is available to catch in the game... If it was an "unobtainable Pokémon" such as the fossils Pokémon or a starter Pokémon, it would be justified...
To get access to the reset clock menu and change the time you have to press 3 buttons at the same time. The problem you have is that usually PC keyboards don't let to press more than 2 keys at the same time due to hardware limitations. However, the keys "shift", "ctrl" and "alt" can be used pressing at the same time 2 more keys. So your solution is: In your emulator, change the key you have assigned for the select button to any of the following keys of your keyboard: "shift", "ctrl" or "alt". This way you can press 3 keys at the same time. Then follow the video instructions and you'll be able to access to the reset clock menu. I've just tested it by changing the key that I had assigned to the select button to "alt", and it worked fine for me.🙂 I hope you finally were able to reset the clock^^ Thanks for commenting and have a nice Pokéday!
This patch doesn't change the Pokémon location. It only changes the Pokémon sprites. So the only way to get gen 1 starters is the same way you get in the original games: One of the 3 starters is chosen for you at the beginning of the game, and you can get the other 2 by trading with another player who has chosen the other starters at the beginning of their game. Have a nice Pokéday!🙂
Voltorb doesn't appear in the wild until Route 10 in Kanto, and Machop doesn't first appear in the wild until Mt. Mortar, which is after Goldenrod City Gym. Onix, meanwhile, doesn't first appear in the wild until Union Cave, which is after Violet City Gym.
You are right. These trades in Pokémon Crystal help you to get these Pokémon earlier. Onix can help you to get Violet City's Gym badge, and Machop can help you to get Goldenrod City's Gym badge. Voltorb can be useful to defeat the trainers from Routes 40 and 41 to arrive Cianwood City. However, I never found the game so hard as to use these trades to advance in the game. Thanks for commenting and I hope you are having a nice Pokéday! :)
Good question. They could have deleted it and this way make room to add a missing kanto content (perfectly they could have used this area to create inside's Pewter Museum). At least it give us a hint that they tried to bring back the Safari Zone. However, it seems Game Freak didn't have enough room to add it...
It'd be cool if Game Freak makes a remake or port these games, but with the option to print via bluetooth or any other current way to print our words in the Unown font.☺ Thanks for commenting and I hope you're having a nice Pokéday! 🙂
Thanks! I've recorded some video from other generations, but defintely I'll investigate more the second gen to bring more interesting videos! Have a nice Pokéday!
@@pokesoulmoon I JUST RANDOMLY FOUND A LEVEL 80 SLOWBRO AND A HALF HEALTH LEVEL 80 DITTO USING SUPER REPEL AND A LV 39 GYARADOS AS MY FIRST IVE BEEN PLAYING CRYSTAL SINCE RELEASE THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE
Glad to know you liked the video😊 By the way, is so terrible my pronunciation?😅 It's true that English isn't my first language and I don't have the chance to improve my English speaking skills, so I'm aware I have some "accent" speaking it, but I'd like to know your opinion (I guess you are a native English speaker, so knowing your opinion would be helpful for me). Have a nice Pokéday!😉
It seems most people (including me) hadn't idea about this gift because of the specific requirements to trigger this event. And also because most people after defeating Blue, continue to Viridian Forest, instead of returning to Pallet Town😅.
This happens in FireRed and LeafGreen. In Red/Blue/Yellow, when you complete the parcel event and receive the Pokédex, if you talk again to Prof. Oak, he only says "Pokémon around the world wait for you, Red!", instead of giving us these Pokéballs. So in the first generation is mandatory to defeat Blue in Route 22 and then talk to Prof. Oak again to get the Pokéballs. Game Freak fixed this in the remakes, being more accesible to get this gift.
Yes. In this battle the key is mainly patience, and the best strategy is double team+slam as well as a bit of luck to be able to defeat him before being Pikachu defeated.
For fun, here's my thoughts of each of these in-game trades in Pokemon Yellow: Clefairy for Mr. Mime: Given this is the only way to get Mr. Mime, and Clefairy isn't too hard to find, this isn't a bad deal. Mr. Mime isn't the best, but he's decent. Cubone for Machoke: I guess this one would be the most interesting one to me since it does give you a Pokemon that you normally can't get on your own. Though I don't usually use it since Machamp isn't all that great in Gen 1. I usually use Snorlax for a physical attacker. (At least Everstone wasn't a thing yet!) Lickitung for Dugtrio: If this was reverse I'd see some point to it I guess since at least getting Dugtrio isn't that hard. But this one is possibly the most pointless trade in the game. You can only get Lickitung in Cerulean cave and by that point in the game, if you really want a Dugtrio, you likely already raised one much stronger than the one you get from this trade. Tangela for Parasect: Would have been more useful in Red and Blue than Yellow. In those games you can find Tangela easily in Route 21. In Yellow though, it's only in the Safari Zone. So is Parasect and it has a better encounter rate than Tangela. But I mean, Parasect is a better Pokemon than Tangela. (Not saying much though) Golduck for Rhydon: Rhyhorn can be a pain to evolve so this can be useful. Especially if you get lucky and find a Golduck on route 6. Still, I like this trade. Growlithe for Dewgon: Kind of pointless since you can find a Dewgon by just going to Seafoam Island, but Growlithes aren't that hard to find so it's whatever. Kangaskan for Muk: Another example of it would have been better if this was reversed. At least then you can spare yourself the trouble of finding a Kangaskan in the Safari Zone. You can easily get a Muk right in the Pokemon mansion. Maybe if this was for a Weezing it could have worked a bit better since then it would give you something you can't get in the wild but honestly, another pointless trade. Overall, it's not bad, but could have been better. Japaneses Blue version easily has the best in-game trades of Gen 1 though.
Thanks for your deep analysis! I'm agree with you in all the trades. In general, I think trades in Pokémon games should be focused on getting exclusives Pokémon that aren't in the wild (such as Mr. Mime in this game), or to get those Pokémon that can be a bit harder to get in the wild. For me, I find a little useless trades like Kangaskhan-Muk or Growlithe-Dewgong, and were some of these trades I didn't do when I was a child. And as for Japanese Blue version, only for letting us to get Gengar and Golem without trading IRL, for me it also has the best in-game trades in Gen 1.
Guess this video was released just a bit too soon! Not too long ago (September 2023), it was found out that the exclusive items (Unown Doll, Tentacool Doll, and Pikachu Bed) from Stadium 2 are actually impossible to get without hacking!
Yes, this video was made before September, and at that time all webs I visited said that Unown Doll, Tentacool Doll and Pikachu Bed are only obtained from Stadium 2, so I had no idea these are unobtainable (to be honest, I only got all decorations obtained without using Mystery Gift or Stadium 2😅). Sorry about that, and thanks for sharing this info! 😉
Thats amazing, i never ever noticed this other than Pikachu refusing thunderstone, then I decided to change it and get jolteon, bt thanks to u i get to see this wonderful feature in 1st gen
Great! I find catching all Unown in Platinum a bit challenging because in Solaceon Ruins there are different rooms in which may appear different Unown. Platinum is still the only game in which I haven't caught all Unown😅.
In this game Pikachu has many expressions, and in fact some of these expressions you have to look for expressly (such as the 0 friendship and bad mood), so there are some expressions that may be a little obscure to see by in a normal gameplay,
Yes, you're right! But I'll upload these animations (and more) in the next video. For this video I decided to focus on Pikachu's expressions by friendship and mood levels.
Some of the bad moods can be a bit difficult to see in a normal gameplay, unless you try expressly to see these moods. I didn't see some of these moods when I was little either.
Oh my god, this has been haunting me for decades now. I swore in a kanto game you got 5 pokeballs in the lab somehow and was never able to make it happen every time I started fire red or blue version. Thanks mate
These Pokéballs are very hidden in this generation. At least Game Freak changed this, and in the next games we can get the 5 pokéballs during the gameplay.
Yeah, basically, you get the gift after doing everything you can in Viridian City, and it's the game's way of saying "Okay, you've gotten this done, you're more than ready to head out!"
Dang it I KNEW I did not made up that as a kid !!! I played the heck out of Pokemon Blue & Yellow several times and I remember once or twice I did get 5 Pokeballs, but when I replayed them as an adult, I never got any and thought I must have remembered wrong - mixed it up with the anime or something... Thanks for showing me I was not wrong 🙂
@@pokesoulmoon Pure coincidence but it is not that unlikely to happen. For me I didn't want (or need) to buy anything. And I remember exploring everything, including talking to every NPC and reading every sign. That's how I discovered that your mother heals you and the free Pokeballs. I always liked Pokemon for rewarding explorers (same with the hidden items on the ground)
