Watched whole documentary and enjoyed it very much. Very insightful ,motivating and relatable not once did I think maybe this isn’t for me. I can’t wait to get my life started in a new direction. Thank you bunches for putting this together.
I was actually shocked to hear someone in this documentary judge a person on how they choose to live and what they spend their money on. The Freedom of choice or how one chooses to live should go both ways. Shouldn’t it? ✌🏽🇺🇸🙏
Appealing to Paranoid Personality disorders. WOW, WTF? I'm settling for an RV, but I was never under any "culture pit" brought on by the "media"/or government. What a pile of bull. I worked full time because THAT gave me meaning and I Like taking a shower ever day. JE SUS, again- Paranoid MUCH? 😅
Just think just how much of your time currency your pondering away never to get back instead exchange it for memories. Bad or good but humbling. I've been a van lifer for 3 years and 5 months. There have been times that have definitely been difficult, but I learned and have more experience than when I first started. Van life isn't about having all those gadgets. I keep it simple. I still have my same lifestyle just mobile. I still have my houseplants which for me was a must keep I have a mini bedroom decorated just like my bedroom 3 1/2 years ago. I choose a no build bc eventually when this van is complete I'm going to sell it and I will have my bed and furniture to start new. I say just go for it.youre literally already losing money by paying out all those bills. Money and material goods can always be replaced but your life currency is not.... it's ticking away.
This all depends which end of the telescope you are viewing life from. When you and starting out, it is reasonable to want to get a highly paid job, a house., a car and all the trappings of an affluent life. I did that and do not regret it as I achieved as high a level as I now realise I could reasonably expect. Now retired for 10 years, I can look back and see perfectly clearly how we were sold that dream because it was achievable. Many of us followed these ideas and enjoyed the whole thing. It is only now, able to look back from 75 years in, how that dream is denied the young and also now the rest of us, to one degree or another. Simply, the cost to live that lifestyle has outweighed the ability to reach that level of income for so many. For all ages. Thankfully, for me, I never really wanted true riches. Just a comfortable lifestyle. Enough to enjoy bringing my family up, having holidays and days out and all the rest. Now inflation has chewed up all that I did get and left me with a state pension ( UK ) which is a subsistence level. Luckily I an physically capable and I am working towards adopting this lifestyle to tour and see Europe & Asia before I fade away altogether. Hope I see many of you on the road. Va bene,.
Watched this in probably 2017-18, watching it again in 2024. Wondering how they all faired through the plandemic and hoping they’re all well. Considering this kind of life myself even more now.

This can be done but you still need money for gas and car or van repairs for food and other expenses. And if you are old and on a fixed income with health issues this type of living is not so easy and relaxing but can be a problem traveling long distances .
If I was in UK, I'd take a van across to Europe. If I was in Canada, I'd cross the border for the winter months. Luckily, I'm in Australia now and about to take off myself.
There's an area in Europe which has Turks on it - you can spend 180 days there before heading back to Spain, Greece or Portugal. It's on the Black Sea.
I'm 64 and Australian. My hat goes off to these folks who have such great resilience and humour. In my country we have the Grey Nomads who are mainly retired with more financial backing. I worry about your people as their pensions and medical insurance can be little or nothing. We all start out bright and shiny but you really have to know what your doing with life on the road as it can be unforgiving. Shame on any country that does not respect their older brothers and sisters as without them we are in the wind.
@@joeglennaz Depends on your finances though everyone is entitled to an old age pension, free health care and vastly subsidized medications over the age of 68.
Everything has its ups and Downs if people want to do this why shouldn't they get to , it's their life no government should be allowed to tell you what to do they probably paid in to a lot of these pension funds and things over the years in any case , so it should be up to them now what they get to do especially with the latter part of their life nobody lives forever live free, BUT DON'T LEAVE RUBBISH OR YOUR the reason people get stopped from using land.
Its like anything else. Everybody says “I love America because FREEDOM” but sing a whole different tune when another persons freedom means doing something that you don’t understand
Too many people in society don't realize that anybody and everybody is only one paycheck away from being homeless unless you're born into a rich family
Bob Wells runs a highly successful RU-vid channel. He Does Van tours and a BUNCH of informative videos. Him and his more background channel partner Suanne started HOWA (Homes on wheels alliance) which is a nomad charity. They basically use donor money to help homeless people who need to live on wheels. Emergency funds, vehicle conversions, necessities (solar, heating and whatever else you would deem as a necessity). In some extreme cases they either convert minivans they bought or minivans that were donated and donate them to somebody desperately in need. Not to mention they offer one on one mentoring to new nomads to teach them how to live happily in a vehicle and save an amount of money that will actually make a difference. Bob has been a busy man as has everyone else at CheapRVLiving. They take living on wheels *seriously*.
My daughter and her partner are traveling around Australia with their 3 children in a bus her partner built up. My Grandkids have experienced and seen so much. They can't keep it up forever, but while they can, they will. God Bless their adventurous hearts.❤❤❤❤
I've been thinking of it for years. But, as I am a senior female, with a respiratory condition, I am very apprehensive. Financially , I'd be just fine. I've seen many men and women, singles and couples, on RU-vid. Many awesome stories shared like the ones here. But some others have had scary experiences. Still thinking about it.
😆yeah, not so stealth coming out w the dog on a leash, lol. I know the feeling. I have a flexi leash....and park next to a spot for him. I'm still trying to see how this goes in other places, since I'm still working.
Haha bob when is the last time you had a condo in a city and hit the mts for the weekend get to nature. Reset again. Your misleading people. Possible creating more homeless than home free
