there are so many trans people who end up ending it all just like the protagonist of this song because they don’t have anyone to turn to who would accept or even listen to them, and they feel that they’ll never become who they really are because they’re trapped by circumstance. i’ve felt that on more than one occasion - it’s a pain every trans person understands intimately. much of my friend group is trans (including myself), and since my early teenage years i’ve had several life-or-death situations with my friends. we made it through the worst of it together and became better people and closer friends for it. if you’re struggling, connect with other trans people either online or in your local community. you don’t have to go through the struggle of finding footing as a trans person alone. i don’t know if anybody will read this, but to any trans person out there who is, i just want you to know that i’m proud of you for existing and making it through every day despite what we have to survive through all across the globe. remember you aren’t alone. we’re all in this together. 🏳️⚧️

Honestly! I wish I could just transition and not *tell* anyone. Like do all my changes, but pretend like nothing happened. Never acknowledge it to anyone, just keep existing like normal. Like just straight-up gaslighting everyone into thinking I've always looked/sounded/dressed this way 😂 I joke, but seriously life would be easier if I could just do the things without having the discussions and dealing with the questions.
