Amazing. I love the slight little imperfections which indicates they didn't try to loop it or clean it up. Very Chili Peppers style. Very raw energy. Very Hendrix.
Actually it's just little things that they change to spice it up, not all of the bars are the same. They do that a lot in RHCP especially with the bass. But yeah it's cool.
4:17 It's stuff like this what makes John Frusciante so great. His melodies are always so on point. It's not about the technique (which he clearly has) but about the emotion he puts on each note.
and beyond that, his vocal harmony is incomparable. john is john. none of this world could do what he does... couldn't imagine how he's draw this harmony in his head. terrifiyng....
I love how his play is at times dirty and with wrong notes or sloppy, makes it more human. Tracks like this, which aren't perfect, made Frusciante what he is: a perfect match of imperfections. Also, the add ons, panning guitars, and that 4:20 "snowy like" lick made this song so special for me along with the lyrical content and Flea's lines. Don't forget Chad, the great funky drummer!
I use this master track to learn the song and timings. Thanks to whoever posted this and to everyone who posts master tracks of different songs on youtube, so us, amateur musicians can learn them better.
yeah I know right that would be awesome your right josh could of played that on guitar it could of worked out because that was the biggest part in the song, I've heard that same effect on another song John did called of before the song the song is called shadows collide with people
James Brown what a beast of a song to learn on, but technically possible. Maybe start with some slower, less intricate stuff so you don’t drive yourself crazy
Come to decide that the things that I tried Were in my life just to get high on When I sit alone Come get a little known But I need more than myself this time Step from the road to the sea to the sky And I do believe that we rely on When I lay it on Come get to play it on All my life to sacrifice Hey oh Listen what I say, oh I got your hey oh Now listen what I say, oh When will I know that I really can't go To the well once more time to decide on? When it's killing me When will I really see All that I need to look inside Come to believe that I better not leave Before I get my chance to ride When it's killing me What do I really need All that I need to look inside Hey oh Listen what I say, oh Come back and hey oh Look here what I say oh The more I see, the less I know The more I like to let it go Hey oh, whoa, whoa, whoa Deep beneath the cover of another perfect wonder Where it's so white as snow Privately divided by a world so undecided And there's nowhere to go In between the cover of another perfect wonder And it's so white as snow Running through the field where all my tracks will be concealed And there's nowhere to go When to descend to amend for a friend All the channels that have broken down Now you bring it up I'm gonna ring it up Just to hear you sing it out Step from the road to the sea to the sky And I do believe what we rely on When I lay it on Come get to play it on All my life to sacrifice Hey oh Listen what I say, oh I got your hey oh Listen what I say, oh The more I see, the less I know The more I like to let it go Hey oh, whoa, whoa, whoa Deep beneath the cover of another perfect wonder Where it's so white as snow Privately divided by a world so undecided And there's nowhere to go In between the cover of another perfect wonder Where it's so white as snow Running through the field where all my tracks will be concealed And there's nowhere to go I said hey, hey, yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, tell my love now Hey, hey, yeah, oh yeah, tell my love now Deep beneath the cover of another perfect wonder Where it's so white as snow Privately divided by a world so undecided And there's nowhere to go Deep beneath the cover of another perfect wonder Where it's so white as snow Running through the field where all my tracks will be concealed And there's nowhere to go I said hey oh yeah, oh yeah Tell my love now Hey, yeah, yeah, oh yeah
What's cool is you can hear him breathing, a little mic bleed there. Amp must have been on quite low volume and John sitting right next to it. LOVE IT you dont hear this in the actual mix
Dude, I'm learning this first riff in the guitar, but, John plays it so fast. I need to train this song putting it slowly to get the timing, haha. One day I'll play like him.
Not bad man, i'm a bassist looking for a good guitar backtrack of this music to use on my training, like this one but with drummer and lead too. Does anyone have it? On the original the guitar kinda disappear if you don't wear a phone. Thanks ^^
This riff is hard as fuck to play, even if you've been on guitar for a few years. It's very tricky to play it hundreds of times all along the whole song.
So, let's see what we've got here. Hmm... ok, he's going pretty well, no mistakes. A tiny little mistake here, but that's ok. One more little mistake... Oh, whoops!
If your a true John fan, you’ll know that he did that on purpose. If you watch a lot of live shows, he always changes up the riffs by improvising the riff a little, so cool!
