Having driven a recent model gas powered Corolla and Civic, they aren’t really equivalent cars. While they are both labeled compact, the Corolla is a true compact. The Civic is more midsized-particularly in the rear seat area.
I think the Civic is still one of the all around best sedans for sale. If I were going to buy a simple, efficient sedan, I'd be looking at the Civic, Insight, Accord, Corolla, and Camry. They're just good.
Not a great car, period. Subaru has the edge from 2020 and up to its demise (2025). Nissan is always going to be a low-end, poorly crafted piece of dribble. What were you thinking when you did this video?
Toyota Engineers/Top Executives- “We have five recorded Tundras with 5.7L installed and over a million miles recorded on original engine. Let’s steer away from what works and fold to the green agenda” Makes sense.
As soon as all of the roads in the good old USA are nicely paved and smooth ( I mean all! even the country gravel ones) then we can drive something like that....
Nissan,if you are paying attention to these discussions: please make this happen! There are thousands of xterra fans like me who would buy a new model in a heartbeat.
I have a 2007 titan and put some miles on it now I have to take in and put on life support to find out what's going on with it I'm thinking it's the fuel pump 😞😞
Bought 2024 Sienna. First dealer had nine “you might as well be trying to get a unicorn (few available). Next dealer had 1, ordered months prior & customers backed out. Take it or leave it, no chance 😢, to get AWD. One complaint- wish seats were more comfortable.
Oh let’s not forget same engine in the Sequoia! Also no issues whatsoever. Let me guess and let’s guess together a different assembly line! The engine is rock solid when put together appropriately. They need to give people new engines or buy the car back!
No cross bolts no four bolts. Why not use LS style bottom end reinforcements in a high stressed engine. How about including steel pistons to prevent piston failure.
Not a peep out of Motoman or David Koichi Chao, the automotive engineer who owns the Automotive Press International channel (his shtick is using a plastic gauge to check the panel gaps on new cars to judge assembly quality). And he just got back from VIP tours of Toyota plants in Japan!
"Don't blow it out of proportion." Translation: Hey, Toyota! We were getting hammered for not talking about this but we need to keep access to the Toyota press fleet. So, we adopted the CNN/MSNBC technique of covering President Biden's dementia. Don't blow it out of proportion, it's no big deal. We talked to a dealer who told us they buy Tundras with a slight (🤣🤣🤣🤣) price adjustment! This is a few disgruntled owners' complaints blown out of proportion on social media. This recall is Trump's fault! We have a letter signed by 51 departments heads in the CIA, NSA and FBI confirming this is a Russian hoax! So, is our invite to the next new product launch in Hawaii still good?
Jesus Christ, Roman! Do you have any self awareness? You've gained weight and lost muscle. DO NOT WEAR T-SHIRTS. They only accentuate your man boobs, fatness and skinny arms. It's time to start dressing like a professional adult. At the very least, you could take some advice from George (Motoman). Think DARK long sleeve dress shirt and casual slacks. and, for the love of God, burn the red athletic shoes. Nest to you, Andre looks like a Fortune 500 CEO. You don't even comb your hair before going on camera....... and toss the exercise/training watch because you no longer do. And, don't sit sideways to the camera. Always sit behind the desk facing the camera.
Whatever the origins of the metal debris, any Toyota owner who accepts anything less than a complete engine replacement (long block) is a fool. There is no way to clean all those metal particles out of the engine and any leftovers will continue to machine the engine into 100% junk.
That is ,by far , the ugliest semi truck I've ever seen. Give up on electric and instead focus on making internal combustion engines more efficient. It can be done. My sister had a 1990 CRX high fuel model in the early '90's that regularly achieved 55 miles to the gallon. That was 32 years ago. The technology is being suppressed people. Wake up.
This is a cool idea. Diesel/Electric hybrids have been used on trains since the 1930's. I have a Diesel car, and I regularly get 52 miles per gallon in the summer. My all time best is 64 miles per gallon. If I could make my car a Diesel/Electric hybrid, I guarantee I could get close to if not, OVER 100 miles per gallon!
Yes, this sucks. TOYOTA f#$ked up, and they are addressing the problem. Ford, 3.5 ecoboost had problems for years, and they kept coming up with excuses and a bandaid. TOYOTA will correct this and , yes it sucks for the new owners. Thank God, I have my 2021 with the V8.
This is what happens when you don’t innovate for 20 years. Now Toyota is playing catch up with all these other manufacturers and have a huge mountain to climb bc they have not done a new engine in over 2 decades. On the other hand, Honda has gone thru at least 3 engines in the same amount of time. Same type of innovation with Ford 2.7/3.5 ecoboost engines and even 5.0 coyote. I hope they get back to the reliability they are known for bc I am a huge fan of Toyota. But don’t wait another 20 years to get working on another engine Toyota.
