With what you said about story relevancy in your concluding thoughts, I think I have my own hot take. Team 7 should have just been Naruto and Sasuke. Sakura being on the main team put a burden on her that she was never meant to fulfill. In a drama about revenge and bloodlines, her presense just seems tacked on like a spectator. Just sort of there. She'd probably be better as a side character. To me, either make her an integral part of Team 7, like make her a sort of voice of reason or something (it might even justify Sasuke and Sakura's marriage) or simply just have her be on a different team instead of forcing her to be there.

The thing about the hard work beats talent side of naruto is they see kurama as a unfair power up and dont see that the only way it was positively harnessed was by being seen as more than a body of chakra, something they refuse to do, which goes against the core themes of naruto

There are several things that makes me dislike Sakura, or at least feel sorry for her character. Like her often not getting to take part in important battles as often, how most of her high moments are moments where she has to share the spot light with someone else who either helps her, or does the finishing touch so to speak, how when scenes says she's different/caught up now, it immedetally follows with either showing her failing or gaving Naruto/Sasuke more of the action/flashy moments and/or new power ups/abilities, and how her character appeared to have been created in order to be the token/cliche "love interest" and "damsel" for some of the more important fights. But what makes me despise her as a character is how her end goal is to get together with Sasuke, even during/after the Shippuden half. Sasuke: 1) Betrayed his home/team to go join a man who had just attacked their home, and killed their leader. 2) Wanted to blast her and the group the moment they met up again in Shippuden. 3) Wanted to kill her other team mate. 4) Tried to kill her several times (and once showed him doing just that through an illution). 5) Joined the group that seeked to kidnap and kill her team mate in order to gain and control the 10 tails. 6) Wanted to destroy her home himself. 7) Wanted to overthrow the ruling system of her home. 8) Tried to kill every leader from every country. 9) Told her to kill one of his team members in order to be able to join him. 10) Activly showing several times that he doesn't care for her safety and well being as they're fighting a war. The fact that Kishimoto had Sasuke do all those things, while yet having Sakura still wanting him romantically (and Karin, seeing how Kishimoto had her forgive Sasuke just like that after a simple "sorry", after deliberatly dealing a deadly blow to her and asking Sakura to finish her off). It just sends a terrible message to young girls reading the manga. No one in real life should every go for/stick around for a person like that, yet Kishimoto gives the "this is suppose to be you, real life girls" character this horribly dangerous/toxic love interest, and her holding out for and just wating for him to come around and start treating her differently is seen as the right/good thing to do, to the point where he seriously has her reply with "for what?", when Sasuke actually say "Sorry". The fact that Kishimoto set her up to be a perfect opponent to Sasuke: Her battle analytics skills against Sasuke's. Her obervation skills against Sasuke's tracking/slow-mo tracking. Her genjutsu skills against Sasuke's. Her water and earth based chakra nature against Sasuke's fire and lightning. It ever came into play, and while Naruto/Sasuke got powers/abilities after powers/abilities, she gets strenght, healing (which Naruto/Sasuke can also do) and summoning (which, again, Naruto/Sasuke can also do). She showed great knowledge book-vice, great chakra control, quick thinking and reaction time/reflexes, and Kishimoto throws it all away seeminly in order to have yet another female character's main thing/trait be "I'm in love with this guy and he's the one important thing in my entire world", when Naruto, Kiba (if I remember correctly he had a thing for Hinata?) and Rock Lee are allowed to have love interests, and still be their own people with other stuff attached to/assosiated with them.

@@theoutluke May I ask where you disagree? Not trying to start an argument, I'm just curiouse. And I see that it didn't keep the added line I put in when I edited it. Had a 11th point where I wrote how Sasuke activly/deliberatly kept Sakura in the dark, cause he didn't view her as important/skilled enough to be let in on their counter attack plan (when they and Naruto, Kakashi and Obito were the only ones who were able to help at the time). I can't remember if you were the one who mentioned the moment of Sakura hitting Kaguya, sorry if it wasn't, but if it was, I had planned to mention in my original reply, that while yes, that was a big moment for Sakura, and a important moment for the plot/story, I'm personally just not able to relish in the moment as: 1) It's a fight where up to then, Naruto/Sasuke had gotten to be the ones showing off/doing all the other work (of course only they can realistically go up against her, but if Sakura could punch the final main/big boss once, I feel Kishimoto could have shown her doing that more - or do other stuff to help give Sasuke/Naruto a shot - . Instead I can only remember her thinking/focusing on Sasuke and how he doesn't care for her/her safety, if I remember correctly - it been some years since I read it - ). 2) It one of the fights where she doesn't get to be part of the finishing blow (Kishimoto should have given her something to be able to actually seal Kaguya as well I feel, if only temorarely, (in order to get team 7 upon the same ground). And 3) This whole situation only happened, cause Kishimoto put Sakura in a moment where he couldn't let her succseede, and so she fails to stab Obito's eye when that could have prevented everything and stopped the war right there. Giving Sakura yet another failure moment while "ranking" Naruto/Sasuke up to gods. I just feel that if Kishimoto needed to put her in a situation were she needed to fail, at least have Black Zetsu fight back, or control Obito and have him try to stop her, instead of just sitting there and telling her to quickly do it now as nothing/noone is stopping her. Edit: sorry, found a bunch of spelling mistakes (autocorrect constantly thinking I meant something else).

Sounds like Andrew Lloyd Webber adapted all of those melodies to make them far catchier and more melodious than Puccini had originally done. That's if he (allegedly) stole those musical ideas from Puccini. He adapted them from grand opera in style to be more in line with modern pop, which tends to be instantly satisfying to the masses whereas Puccini takes some repeated listenings to unlock the complexity and to fully appreciate. I will always perceive Andrew Lloyd Webber as musically gifted because even if he did quote from established works, he did so in a manner that isn't direct copying but cleverly adapted enough so they fall within a whole new genre and are only similar as opposed to identical.

Moria was a throw away character for other characters development, this guy is the only character in onepiece who could gain every abilities of every character in the series, he could just take vegapunk shadow and use his knowledges for this favor or more, he could have one of the best combos like absalon and perona inside of oars, turning oars invisible while the negative ghost is present, but he main difference is that luffy is a protagonist while moria is a throw away character.

Putting Sakura aside, no one would dare to say Kishimoto couldn't write female characters if he wrote Sasuke as a girl instead. Imagine the same story progression but Sasuke as a girl, with such character developments, no doubt Sasuke would be the best female character ever created. And to top of that Naruto chasing over Sasuke for more than 700 episodes then finally getting her to accept him? This series will also become the best shounen love story ever.

Nice video I agree with everything you said there And the problem is not just with Nami , I love one piece, but I don't like the perverted humor, sexually harassing a character is not funny, I understand that shounen is for teens and a lot of other mangas would take that kind of humor and fan service too far but that doesn't make It ok and doesn't mean we can't criticize It . and It make some of us hate some characters or dislike them more each time they keep going with that humor. We see that in brook and sanji specially after time skip Well for brook we know that he didn't socialize for 50 years, but his unfunny panties jokes kept being repetitive , but later he got some redemption after being useful in whole cake island and wanno and started to like his dynamics with the crew and for once or twice liked his jokes like in that emotianal scene against black maria' s illusions or against big mom hopefully he stay that way . While for sanji I didn't like him that much after time skip specially that he kept being a pervert even after the whole cake island when we were supposed to like him more . Anyway Excited to hear you talk about sanji I saw your Usopp video and now that , I like your takes ! Subsecribed

Water 7 usopp was one of the series best characters, him along with chopper (and the whole crew to some degree) have been doomed to be portrayed mainly by one characterization. Chopper with his changed design has been forced into this cowardly role 99% of the time, slightly less than usopp and nami, his character also peaked at water7, since his fight at enies lobby he’s become less and less interesting as post time skip his power lost all restrictions and risk and he got put into less fights, with the bullshit new kung fu point being the only thing they use because they lack the creativity to make a fight centered around his powers like they used to

I like Chopper (and his arc in Punk Hazard especially!) but in WCI and Wano he kind of felt like a plot device. I mean, let's face it: he's immediately able to heal Luffy's borderline fatal wounds post Katakuri fight, he makes antidotes to both of Queen's viruses at a ridiculous pace before anyone dies. Despite this, he seemingly makes no effort to fix the Smile fruit issue?...

@@theoutluke Luffy healing his fatal wounds has always been a thing. Or do you forget post Crocodile fight? Post Lucci fight? And so? And with Queen's virus: 1_ In the first case it's because the virus was very simple and Chopper have at that moment much more time because they have conquered Udon 2_ In the second case the virus was may more complex but what Chopper do was only to duplicate the pre-exiting antidote that Queen already made Comparing this to Smile fruits (a much more complicated case that was out of Chopper domain) is really unfair

Here's an argument for you: If Usopp would grow (in character) more fastly, wouldn't that mean he reaches his dreams way earlier than his mates? Becoming a brave warrior of the sea is a very general worded dream. But I would claim, that if he behaved more like you want, that his dream would be fullfilled and he would be finished as a character. I guess that Oda would want to let all of the crew's dreams being fulfilled on the last island kinda at the same time...

@@theoutluke I don't disagree with you on that. Maybe Oda sees it like I do, or it could be like you say and he "forgot" about Usopp aka doesn't care anymore. But there could be a third way: I like your interpretation of Usopp as THE character that we as "normals" can relate the most to. Could it be that Oda purposely chose this stagnant development for Usopp as a symbol for how hard it can be for everyone of us to change? I've been seeing many people on RU-vid content creators Twitter (X) users and many more on the internet who downplay her character calling her a weak, useless, pathetic, and unlikable character that gets unfair amounts of hate. I mean Nami's more than just some navigator or a sex symbol for fan service. But she is strong-willed and capable with her wits in battles. It's true that Nami hasn't got much of a solo fight as she had few in the pre-timeskip. But Oda is trying to play safe when she has to come fighting against tougher opponents, but how Nami powers are progressing, I think Oda would give her a proper solo fight like he did with Robin against Black Maria in Onigashima/Wano. Her loyalty towards Luffy and her friends and her bravery to not back down to anything make up for the things you said when she and Usopp were running away from Page One and Ulti. But let's be fair that Nami isn't much like a front-line fighter like most One Piece characters and she is only a scaredy cat but is not much like a coward like Usopp despite people toning that up in Wano when she was running and screaming with Usopp from Page One and Ulti, but Nami makes up for it in the end when Ulti smacks Otama in the face and retaliates by fighting her only in the last second when Big Mom did the most damage on Ulti, but indeed Nami did made the final blow with her new found power-up on her Clima-Tact with Zeus that defeated Ulti for good. Anyway, I enjoyed your video. P.S. Nami will be and always be the number one best waifu girl in all of One Piece's women characters.

You have a point about the double standard about women/men chasing and her being the normal average kid however she's supposed to be a ninja. She's training to kill people and potentially do messed up things for the sake of her village, her being childish and cringy in part one is absolutely fine but she's like that for far too long. She develops when Sasuke goes away but goes full circle back when he's reintroduced. She has those moments that never go anywhere, for example she cut her hair with all this mystical and symbolic energy and what? That didn't cause her to start training or working on herself, she doesn't change after the exam, she does only after the failure to retrieve Sasuke. He's her only goal, her world revolves around him and I find it awful, she didn't become a medic for herself, she did it because it was an opportunity because Tsunade was a medic and coult teach her. What happened to her being the genjutsu prodigy? Her incredible smarts? Kakashi didn't teach her anything throughout their time as a team, she was just vegetating throughout most of the story and her potential was completley wasted. You say that she'd be Kurenai 2.0 but that's when you write her to be able to use that weaker genjutsu in smart ways to level it up, Kishi pulled so many things out of his ass already and broke his own world rules so it wouldn't be a stretch to give her something other than to be Tsunade 2.0 instead.
@theoutluke
@theoutluke Год назад
Thanks for your comment! You have a lot of phenomenal points, so I will address each of them in turn. "She develops when Sasuke goes away but goes full circle back when he's reintroduced." - I'm glad that you understand she develops, unfortunately not everyone can see that. As for your second point, I disagree: while she does not always possess the mental fortitude to always go through with her decisions, she's far from the girl who was once extremely abusive to Naruto. I would not call her development full circle. "She has those moments that never go anywhere, for example she cut her hair with all this mystical and symbolic energy and what?" - I must have missed the mystical and symbolic energy in the action of hair-cutting, but as I mention there is a lot of symbolic significance (not energy) associated with hair cutting, at least in Japanese culture. "That didn't cause her to start training or working on herself, she doesn't change after the exam, she does only after the failure to retrieve Sasuke." - I would not disagree with this. However, the interesting thing is that it is this inaction that racks her with guilt and makes her spring into action; of not having been able to do anything of value to help the cohesion of her team. "He's her only goal, her world revolves around him and I find it awful, she didn't become a medic for herself, she did it because it was an opportunity because Tsunade was a medic and coult teach her." - While I can see where you're coming from, I also don't believe it's just about Sasuke. I would argue that it's more about keeping Team 7 together as the family that it once was. She's not just learning healing for Sasuke, she's also learning it for Naruto, and for herself, so that she can one day stand side by side with both of them and not be left behind and totally reliant. "What happened to her being the genjutsu prodigy?" - While I understand where this is coming from, but this is a massive misconception. There are only three times in the entire story where Sakura fights Genjutsu on an individual level. 1. Kakashi in the bell test. She gets stunlocked immediately. 2. Konoha Crush. Sakura blocks the Genjutsu of the Sand Shinobi, and Kakashi remarks that it was a good idea of him to have taught her Genjutsu at the Bell Test. I would say this is more of a payoff of 1. than a setup. 3. Sasuke right before the second Valley of the End fight. Sakura is not trying to fight back so she gets stunlocked immediately. From what I've seen, 1. and 2. are most often used as examples of setting up Sakura as a Genjutsu user. The problem is, if the Bell Test set Sakura up to be a Genjutsu prodigy, then by the same logic it was also a setup for Naruto to be a Taijutsu prodigy. The Konoha Crush example is more relevant, but again by the same logic Shikamaru is a Genjutsu prodigy since he also managed to block it. What this really boils down to, and what Kishimoto builds up through the Land of Waves arc and Chunin Exams, is that Sakura is simply very good at fine chakra control, even if she is the most basic of jutsus. In addition, her level of chakra control is most likely better used in healing jutsus than in Genjutsu (where ocular techniques reign supreme), but you are free to disagree. "Kakashi didn't teach her anything throughout their time as a team" - This is not correct - the only thing Ninjutsu related that Kakashi ever teaches Team 7 is how to climb trees, which Sakura participates in. What you are trying to say is that Kakashi never teaches her anything individually, which is valid (or at least, this is true for on-screen events, we don't know what happened during the timeskip). However, as a rebuttal it is reasonable that he never does so: after all, Sakura has access to Tsunade, who by default is always in the village. Sasuke on the other hand needed Kakashi's help specifically (Chunin Exams and the Curse Mark), and Naruto's teacher Jiraiya is MIA most of the time. "You say that she'd be Kurenai 2.0 but that's when you write her to be able to use that weaker genjutsu in smart ways to level it up" - Again this is quite valid, but it boils down to how much you genuinely want her to be a Genjutsu prodigy. If she is good at fine chakra control (as demonstrated in almost every major arc during the pre-timeskip), then she might as well do something that nobody else on the team can do. "Kishi pulled so many things out of his ass already and broke his own world rules" - While logical inconsistencies is applicable to every Shonen series of the time (One Piece, Bleach, Fairy Tail), Naruto suffers more from an insane power creep rather than actual contradictions in established world rules.

@@theoutluke Oh yeah, she definitely develops and can be very likeable, her constant violence is played off for humor and that's fine but it might just be a little too much to the point of it affecting how people view her. And as for circle back, I meant specifically her just tunnel visioning Sasuke like she was in part 1. Come on man, I wasn't being sarcastic there. That moment was built up to be huge, she got this big scene with white background focusing on the cut hair etc. That's what I meant and as soon as it started, it was gone. "Mystical energy" wasn't literal. Yes, she went through that inaction in the forest itself. She did defend her team with courage but that wasn't enough, she had to be saved by nearly every single Konoha rookie. That should be the spark that caused her to work on herself, not further inaction, she should feel that guilt already, even after the Zabuza arc actually there should be some mention of her acknowledging she didn't really do much to help the fight and should probably start working on that of fear of falling very far behind. This is irrelevant to what I'm saying, Kakashi acknowledges that she has this potential but never works on it with her. Him messing with her on the bell test doesn't count as teaching her, what I'm saying is that she's stated to have this fantastic chakra controi that she could use in clever ways but it goes nowhere untill Tsunade shows up. Sakura never gets a specific, identifying/personal technique like every single other ninja, genjutsu or otherwise. I'm guessing it's because Sasuke ended up getting genjutsu and Sakura was left forgotten by the author. As much as I love Kakashi, he is the worst teacher of the entire show, the man is the copy ninja, said to know 1000 jutsus and he couldn't find few to teach to his team and instead shows them the most basic chakra control? I get that they do need to know this but that's when you should slow down with the story to show them actually training (like Naruto in part 2 with his rasen shuriken). Plus Sakura didn't even need this lesson as she did it immediatelly pretty much on her own, hell she's the one who explained it to the other two. I don't find it reasonable that he's just abandoning 2 of his teammates to find other teachers because he's busy with the third one. If Jirayia and Tsunade were busy, Sakura and Naruto would be in trouble and Sakura definitely was, had no identity for a good while and had no idea what to do with herself and I think it's sad and not her fault at all. Though not stated for sure, we can assume Kakashi barely even seen Sakura during the time skip as his first words to her when he shows up in part 2 was something along of "Didn't see you for a long while". The Kurenai thing is just an example, I don't care much if Sakura got the genjutsu or not, it's about her having an identity of some sort instead of her just sitting in the background. Just write a way for her to have some kind of style, I get that she's supposed to be the basic, relatable girl but come on. I'm a girl and I could not relate in the slightest. Power creep is a huge issue, I completely agree but I still think there's rules broken. Kakashi and his sharingan are a great example, in part 1 he used his eye against Zabuza and was out for few days. Keep in mind, he had that eye for a good while and was a Sasuke like prodigy when young so we can assume he trained a lot and having no Uchiha teacher, he mastered it on his own which is very impressive. Setting it up for the defense of "there was a time skip". Well after said time skip he has mangekyou all of a sudden and can use Kamui after a long setup, crazy power up but fine, he still get's tired and has to be carried back home from Gaara arc. Later he uses that thing non stop with barely any issues other than running out of chakra. There's other things like barely any hand signs which became more of an inconvienience to the showrunners than anything, remember how water dragon jutsu had like 30 of them and was supposed to be one of the most powerful techniques? It's a joke now but that's the power creep issue you mentioned. Anyway, sorry for the long reply but it's nice to have a conversation and I hope I didn't come out as rude and dismissive. Cheers!

"Come on man, I wasn't being sarcastic there..." - Yes, I can agree with this. The moment was Sakura's first (arguably second) big character moment, and while it was quite okay to begin with, it fell flat a bit quickly. "Yes, she went through that inaction in the forest itself..." - Yes, I agree with you here, at least mostly. Sakura, understandably but unfortunately, has a tendency to take the backseat in a lot of arcs. We have to remember that immediately after we have the Chunin Exams and Konoha Crush, we have the Tsunade arc and the Sasuke retrieval arc, the former of which Sakura is not present in, and the latter of which Sakura is barely present in. It is certainly unfortunate that she is not present in these arcs, and it does not do wonders for her reputation as a character either. "This is irrelevant to what I'm saying..." - I think it is actually very relevant, because these select few moments are basically the only moments in the entire series where Sakura is confronting a Genjutsu head-on. To take these select moments (when frankly she never even puts a Genjutsu on anybody) and infer that Sakura is set up to be a Genjutsu "prodigy", is a bit of a reach, don't you think? However, I would agree with you if you felt that Sakura and Genjutsu (in general, not about her being a prodigy) was a dropped plot point that never went anywhere. It is something that I can personally reconcile, but it is something that I do with a little effort. In addition, I absolutely agree with the rest of your point here that Kakashi could definitely have worked on something with her, period. In my opinion he's a very well written character, but a rather biased teacher. "The Kurenai thing is just an example..." - Sure, I had never thought about it this way but I 100% understand. To be fair, most of Naruto's and Sasuke's techniques are inherited from their teachers, but now that you mention it Sakura's the only one whose techniques are basically just a copy-paste of Tsunade's. In that sense, if she had been a medic-illusionist, that would have been fire XD "Power creep is a huge issue..." - Yeah, that's a fair interpretation. While I can see why you'd refer to Kakashi's extensive Sharingan usage (in the War Arc, I assume) as rulebreaking, I still kind of see it as a kind of powercreep where everyone's chakra reserves just exponentially increased to the point of ridiculousness. Lastly, you absolutely did not come off as rude. Even if we disagree on some issues, I really appreciate that you are willing to engage with my arguments in good faith.

@@theoutluke The genjutsu thing, I didn't explain myself correctly. I always thought calling her a prodigy meant that she has capability to learn such techniques because they were tied to the ninja being able to control chakra so well and didn't depend on her facing genjutsu. But that's literaly just my own headcannon, I have a sneaky suspicious sharingan was never meant to have anything to do with genjutsu but that we'll never know. I completely agree with the Tsunade copy-paste, Sakura really needed some kind of twist or addon! And power creep, yeah that's a fair point. Chakra was never a number and it was always working wonky, they ran out of it when the plot needed to stop them and Naruto gained it back when he needed it to reappear. The techniques themselves grew to crazy levels, the main characters are no longer ninja but demigods. Always funny to think that back then people like Hiruzen were considered crazy strong but if you put him against some of the modern villains, ouch. This was fun, thank you also for this discussion :)

I am curious, is this the argument you were talking about in your comment reply where you said "I can back it up with much better logic than whatever argument you have in opposition to that view"? You've made a lot of points, so let me dissect them one at a time. "this weird anti fan service woke b.s needs to stop" - I am not sure if you watched the video; I am not against fan service. I quote "If she can kick ass in a bikini and she feels comfortable, I don’t care." (9:20) I don't know why you would call that "weird anti fan service woke b.s." "Women are consuming idealized male super hero who falls in love with them as well. Nobody complains about that kind of fan service. lol" - Again, I have no problem with any kind of fanservice (whether it be from a man or a woman), as long as these parties are comfortable with it. I would complain if these characters were robbed of their bodily autonomy, e.g. Thor in "Thor: Love and Thunder". "Wether women in the anime consents to it or not, it's an anime, so shove your head out of Self rightous behind" - True, One Piece is fiction. However, as people we must understand that attitudes expressed towards certain groups in real life may manifest itself in fiction - and naturally vice versa. As for my "self rightous behind", I shall try my best. "marry 700lbs 50 year old whale looking female to satisfy her needs" - No thanks. "donate all your money and work earnings to charity to save some 3rd world country ppl you'll never meet" - While I do occasionally donate to charity, it is also not uncommon for charities to swindle their donors' money. Hence, it would not only be financially disastrous for me to "donate all [my] money and work earnings to charity", but also ill-advised from a societal point of view. Additionally, I must also prioritize my basic needs before I help others. I hope you understand. "even then you are not morally clear because you could take animals, balance of the world,uninted consequences and etc into consideration to make the claim even that can be considered evil looking from different lens, in fact the most evil thing from some lenses" - I'm not sure what you mean by "uninted" - I will assume you meant to write "unintended". In any case, if I have understood you correctly (which I may not have, in which case please clarify), is your argument that since it is impossible for us to be wholly and utterly just and righteous, we may as well give up? It is precisely this kind of defeatist mentality that allows your so-called "evil" to thrive in the world. "I can argue to deep bilogical philosophical reason why it's not even bad in real life because nothing is bad or good in real life, and everything exists for a reason" - Please enlighten me, I would love to know how those horrific crimes that you mention are neither "bad or good". "all humans are byproduct of people who participated in those things and it is proven in the dna, and in nature exists for a reason(meaning without them us(humans) would have not existed." - While our ancestors may have participated in this abhorrent acts, I believe it is our duty to look back and strive to do better. Just because we would not have existed if it were not for these acts, does not make these acts any less wrong. "I am not saying those things should be legal or allowed" - your previous comments imply otherwise - if you think these things are neither wrong nor right, then why should they be illegal? "I am asking western anime watchers to step down high horses and F off" - It is a great disservice to your argument that you cap if off with a huge assumption. My nationality is Japanese, and my ethnicity is Japanese.

@@theoutluke first of all, you have to realize by the type of argument I am making, I am massively swimming hard against the current of society. Even If I am wrong, it takes much more courage to claim things I say that what you say. If we truly lived in freedom of speech society in which people were not afraid to face criticism no matter how outside the box it was, I could claim my belief about things without getting consequences since I am just saying words, but that does not exist. yes, all thsoe crimes I mentioned exist for a reason. ICutting back on those leads to population decrease, meaning countries who really try to be egalatarian experience population decrease, and even if they are morally sound (which is debatable) in the long run, they will lose to societies who don't care about those issues. what I am saying is that whether me and you like it or not, countries that don't care about women right issues will simply out populate the ones who don't. So, it's not as (oh, it was for our ancestors only) as you think. (even if you say it is not the causation, it strongly correlates) as for why that happens (I don't want to get too deep into it.) just a word of advice, when you think about taboo subjects or taboo people. Take morallity aside a second and just put yourself in the shores people you assume the worst are and try to understand in what pov, you could exacty feel the same way as them. them look at, why would things like that make sense in macro scale even if you disagree with it. Why would genghis khan do certain things. (he did all those crimes I mentioned and more and look at how widespread his dna is.) then we get into moral defeatist altitude thing. I agree with you on this, except I make the claim that someone who is worse than moral defeatist is the one who has strong moral sense. (you don't need me to explain why, look at history of catholics and islam.) usually people who are hyper moral are just intentionally or unintentionally unaware of their own flaws in their morallity. in order for true morallity to exist, one has to do things I mentioned above (marry a whale and etc) but that kind of morallity is anti biology, and all your senese are biological, and since I am atheist, I don't believe in after life. what is the point of me sacrificing my life for the good of others when: 1- I will not get any benefit from it (if not villianized by the same people who claim high morall) 2- people who claim morallity are just same biologically selfish anyway. (in fact, I make the claim all forms of morallity are selfish.) now, why do I do not condone them even if I believe they exist for a reason, and I don't perceive them as good or bad. because truely deconstructing the whole thing will not be good for survival and reproduction of society. religion and morallity (Though complete B.S for fixing what they claim) exist for a reason. I believe without religion, there wouldn't have been a society. but, we need to heavily upgrade all those religions. (good luck doing that)

I'll address your points in order once again. "first of all, you have to realize by the type of argument I am making, I am massively swimming hard against the current of society. Even If I am wrong, it takes much more courage to claim things I say that what you say." - While I wouldn't necessarily disagree with the courage part, that does not necessarily make you wrong or right (but you have addressed that already, so it's fine). "yes, all thsoe crimes I mentioned exist for a reason. ICutting back on those leads to population decrease, meaning countries who really try to be egalatarian experience population decrease, and even if they are morally sound (which is debatable) in the long run, they will lose to societies who don't care about those issues." - I personally find it troubling how you think the aforementioned crimes "exist for a reason". The phrase implies that there is a good reason for these actions - can you expand on that more? Additionally, I would also like to ask how it is "debatable" that egalitarianism is morally sound. "what I am saying is that whether me and you like it or not, countries that don't care about women right issues will simply out populate the ones who don't." - Is it correct for me to assume that you are male? It is very easy for those who are usually situated in more powerful positions to disregard the struggles of those that are societally less fortunate. How would you feel if the human rights of your mother, your sister, your daughter, were diminished? "just a word of advice, when you think about taboo subjects or taboo people. Take morallity aside a second and just put yourself in the shores people you assume the worst are and try to understand in what pov, you could exacty feel the same way as them." - This depends entirely on the person I am trying to empathize with. It is also possible for me to denounce and condemn their behavior, while simultaneously understanding the structural and societal issues that led to the situation. "them look at, why would things like that make sense in macro scale even if you disagree with it. Why would genghis khan do certain things. (he did all those crimes I mentioned and more and look at how widespread his dna is.)" - The example you mention is a little confusing to me; you mention how such acts are better for society in general, but then mention Genghis Khan who spread HIS genetic material across half of the world. I do not see how that is beneficial for society or the world; in fact I would say that is more selfish than anything. "I agree with you on this, except I make the claim that someone who is worse than moral defeatist is the one who has strong moral sense." - Not necessarily. I would argue that the worst people are not those with a strong sense of morality, but those that enforce those morals on others with an iron fist. I can choose to talk about the negative effects of Nami's fanservice and express my opinions, but it stops there; I do not commit heinous acts for the sake of my morals. "in order for true morallity to exist, one has to do things I mentioned above" - If I understand you correctly, true morality is when I give up my physical and financial autonomy? True morality cannot exist without freedom. "1- I will not get any benefit from it (if not villianized by the same people who claim high morall) 2- people who claim morallity are just same biologically selfish anyway. (in fact, I make the claim all forms of morallity are selfish.)" - Depends on what you mean by selfish. If you mean that it is a self-centred act to be moral, then that is contradictory: being moral is the stark opposite of placing all of your needs and desires over everybody else's. At the same time, self-neglect cannot possibly be considered moral either - it is at times required to step up for yourself and say no, for your own self-preservation. It is not as simple as "all forms of morality are selfish". "now, why do I do not condone them even if I believe they exist for a reason, and I don't perceive them as good or bad. because truely deconstructing the whole thing will not be good for survival and reproduction of society." - So for what reason do these things exist? Surely not just for population control. I think you may be conflating "these things are prone to happen" with "these things are neither good nor bad". They may be easy to confuse, but they are NOT the same. Also, I would just like to ask: in what way do your arguments have anything to do with Nami as a character being disrespected by Oda?

I'll also concede that the frequency of these events is not extremely high, but I still cannot help but feel as though Oda is doing Nami dirty. While Nami is absolutely one of the more relevant Straw Hats in the post-timeskip, her contributions have undoubtedly diminished since the pre-timeskip.
