Went with the proform 750 and removed that ball in the base plate , mine runs good under boost but I can get it to idle under 1100 for the life of me, any tips?
I’m inspired!!! I have a 350 4 bolt main roller motor with Brodix Heads in my 85 Chevy. I don’t want to do a LS swap and pay $10 grand. I would rather turbo what I have in spend way less and get power gains. I’m pumped up!!!
I was wondering what you had for a pcv valve set up? I'm getting some crankcase pressure that's pushing oil past the gaskets/seals. Can you link the video you made on it?
So headers are down and to the rear and they just loop together. Then off the front of the passenger header is another flange for the turbo. They came from eBay
I just wanted to say, youve helped me out with these videos. I'm putting a gt45 on a small block Ford 347. The blow thru content is great. But I personally love hearing the engine while you're driving. The songs over the cruising or my only complaint. But no worries! I subbed for hopefully more Vette content.
I ran into a banana spider web on way to my box blind for a day of hunting, needless to say, as soon as i ran into it, i went one way and wheeler went the other, into a tree then rolled into a ditch. I DONT do spiders lol

Ha no. Just havnt driven it much lately. Both my boys are getting older and I can’t take them both with me so it’s been put to the side lately. I really need to start taking it out more.

@@JJsSpeedShop I get what you mean but thats a different model than the one you have, they make a 750/850 like yours but with dog legs. The 750 in that is part of their race carbs
Hei timing from the vacuum advance is only moves one way unless modified. It can not pull timing under boost the linkage hits the cut out and can't push backwards. You can cut the pod off and flip it , the rod and springs then it will work backwards pulling timing for boost but will no longer advance timing. You can pull 5-7 degrees under boost by flipping and modifying it. Only person i have seen do this on RU-vid is Tony Angelo on his Cheap Syclone build. Im using it on my hei supercharger setup.
The stock vac/advance can wont retard unless you put a spring on both sides of the diaphram and have room for motion both ways, i build these out of two new accell units, you have to cut the diaphram housing off of both new units, put them together like two bowls top to top, this will hold a spring on both sides of one diaphram. Remove the nipple from one of the caps, and screw that end to the flat steel bracket.#8-32 all thread will be your new shaft that you will run back to the rectangle window, get it red hot n bend it 90 degrees. Your window will have to be lengthened to accomodate the new motion of retard. Window length and spring pressure regulates sweep/ammount of retard. Or $150 i build you one too..
Don't get me wrong here but If you ever drove a built 68-72 Big block 4 spd car you would literally wonder why your dicking around with this small block stuff, turbo'd or not. My N/A 68 BB Vette has 800HP and sounds like its ready to do battle compared to those quiet small blocks. Don't get me wrong again here, I do love turbz or I wouldn't have put them on my 2017 Shelby GT350R popping out 1,009 HP. But nothing is funner than Old School. But I"d say your quite talented and when you plan on doing the typical LS swap, don't just do the boring 5.3 or 6.0. Just get the 6.2 and use the 6L80 but change the torque converter, its plagued with bad vibes, not the 4L80 but don't find that stupid 8L80? new tranny, its junk.

I'm building a Turbo C3 right now. Just started getting parts. I too would love to know more about the timing. I was planning on getting an adjustable timing curve weight kit and then tuning in the vacuum advance. Any further advice?
