Ever since I was a little kid , I was fascinated by the new technology , The year 2000 was approaching and I had a lot of dreams about how the future would look like. When I think about the future , I think about intelligent people , intelligent people living together in peace. This is why I will allways link house & Techno to peace. When one day Jean-Michel Jarre performed in Brussels I was able to hear and follow his show with electronic sounds , and lasers. I loved it , and I wanted more of this. This was so futuristic , I could totaly loose myself in the sounds. It didn't take long before I figured out how to dj , I bought myself a very cheap 2 channel mixer , and I connected a cd walkman and a stereo system to that mixer , Voilà : I had my first gear. I wasn't able to pitch ofcourse , but I had a pleasant time , and I made mixtapes for the friends , who encouraged me to continue. Today I am a bit older , and bolder , but I still enjoy mixing. This is what this channel is about :

First song hits me in the feels. The optimism of the 90s. Especially late in the decade. Fun fact. The U.S government had a 600 billion dollar surplus during this time.
You Gen Z kids can try and convince yourself that the Molly you're all buying is better, but I promise you, it doesn't even fuck with the E you could find in the early 90s. I wish I could put in to words how completely high out of my mind I was hearing and dancing to some of these songs the first time.
In 2004 I was bumping this with 2 12" subs 1800w amp and more underglow than a hot import nights car show. Man tuner cars and this music made highway runs late at night so fun.
Sometimes I think trance was a product of the time. When people were still optimistic about the future, especially at the turn of the century. Every trance track sounds like a dream. Dreams of the future.
i think theres a lot of truth to this. in the usa it was like a lot more jobs and houses. people could just live their life. now most people are debt slaves who work 996
again with the throbbing, you fucking idiots, how do you alter your state of conciousness with a fucking hammer tapping on your skull? what the hell is wrong with you? do you enter a trance beating your head against a wall?
Has anyone ever heard of “The Orange Disc”? Been trying to find this CD of Trance music from my childhood. Late 80s/ early 90s, Disc itself was completely orange
