Sometimes I think trance was a product of the time. When people were still optimistic about the future, especially at the turn of the century. Every trance track sounds like a dream. Dreams of the future.
i think theres a lot of truth to this. in the usa it was like a lot more jobs and houses. people could just live their life. now most people are debt slaves who work 996
49 years of age and this music still gives me a rush (without a drug) l took alot of drugs listening to this at raves and eventually it led to other drugs and i became an addict ontill 2 and a half years ago when i found recovery. Even though drugs fucked me up in the end. Id do the rave scene all over again if i could. Memeries that im grateful for and will never forget 😁sending ❤to all who survived because we lost many along the way👌
I"ll be 43 next week, and still listen to it. I've tried to listen to the newer stuff, and it just doesn't do it for me. I'm sure there are some good tracks, but I'd much rather hear metal than try to find a diamond in the rough.
I am a nineteen year old girl who loves 90s trance. It's simply the best music ever. Though I do like modern trance of the tech, psy and uplifting variety... Nothing sounds as good as classic trance.
My oldest sister listened to this kind of music when she was in her teens and I would always ask to borrow her mix cds to listen to on my sony cd player. I looooved it all and to this day I am still a trance lover. One thing I loved about this kind of music was the beat and the melody; it's captivating. Nothing like todays music though; I personally refuse to listen to anything that's mainstream now!
trance music at its best. they don't make it house music like this anymore. I'm glad to have experienced this era of real, honest melodic emotional and uplifting music.
Eh, trance is basically just an evolution of house/techno. "Progressive House" and "Trance" are practically the same thing. Especially in the earlier days when people weren't being snobs like "you need to use exactly this BPM to be considered trance/house." People distinguish between the two to be more specific about what style it is, which is useful for DJs, so please don't pull the "fUcK gEnReS" BS. And since people made the distinction, the two styles naturally diverged overtime as they established their own identities.
@@urphakeandgey6308 you just accused him of being a snob for categorizing it & then turned around and explained why categorizing the music is important. He’s right, this is not really house music - it’s trance. It’s closest to modern day melodic techno but it’s still different. I wouldn’t call melodic techno house music either even though it evolved from it. Still love it, but in your own words, “people distinguish between the two to be more specific about what style it is, which is useful for DJs, so please don’t pull the ‘fUcK gEnReS’ bs”. Seems like you’re the snob here.
This is true trance music. Not like today's Electronic dance Music which is made up of mostly noise and drum rolls every 20 seconds with no melody or groove to it. I miss the good old days ! Great mix !!

I always appreciated 90s trance like modern mozart. There is a real connection with classical music and trance. They both make people feel good and i think it brings out peoples spiritual side too.
As a child of the 70s, a kid of the 80s and a boy of the 90s - this is great ! Thx for bringing some memories back... All those weekends we drove to the "spots" - leaving day to day life behind, just feeling good and party. Today it's "chilling", but well... can't compare how it was back then :) Happy thoughts !
EDC was definitely not the same as the 90’s Raves and the music isn’t as good. Though I’m glad 😍you enjoyed it, I encourage you to stick with us older RAVERS will show you the way.
@@TranceFanHungary More a state of trouse. Though Armin does sometimes play trance and even made some trance tracks. But i really miss the earlier days of ASOT, especially when it was on id&t radio. And i miss the stuff Armin did in the 90's and early 00's. Clear Blue Moon, 4 elements, his rising star mix for yahel's devotion, collabs with ferry corsten and tiesto, such as the track exhale and wonder where you are (under the major league alias).
+Nyana11 I disagree i'm an old time trancer and there are still some amazing trance tracks around you just have to look for the right sub genre and the right artists. The most mainstream of modern music is bad, but i could find loads of new tracks i could fit into a classic set and visa versa. It depends on what kind of classic trance floats your boat and how well you actually know trance and understand it.
cesare vissani Here's a few off the top of my head they may not fit with new tunes(some will)but these are some great tracks from mainly pre 2000. Jose amnesia-the eternal(original), Cygnus x-superstring(rank 1 mix),X cabs-neuro 99, Vincent de moor-fly away(original instrumental),M.I.K.E-sunrise at palamos,Alpha zone-stay(original),4 strings-desire(original),Nu NRG-dreamland,Franchino 99 extended mix,Travel-bulgarian(signum remix), Push-universal nation and strange world,Veracocha-Carte blanche, Orion-Eternity(darren tate remix)Rank 1 airwave(rank 1 vs dutch force remix) and deadline. I have so many other classics from the same era i just can't think at the moment. Also check trance classics channel and DjYilmars- he does full on mixes from vinyls and he gives track listings and times often,ps sorry for massive message and enjoy

I remember people telling me this kind of music would never last. Back in the days when you could see PVD, Tiesto, AVB, Ferry C, ATB...and the list goes on for 20 dollars if that. Bringing their vinyl to gigs. Before bottle service ruined it. When peeps came together just to dance...no huge lighting productions. The beginning. Time when you could bs with the dijs after their sets n get a autograph. Most people couldn’t even pronounce their names. Garage and warehouse parties.
Sometimes i found myself sitting at the pc and listening to this kind of music just after waking up. Then i think "Man, it´s a long time ´til work." Next thing i think is "Whooo.... I have to hurry. Work is waiting." I´m 45 now, and listening to this sound makes me thankful being born in a time when i´m in the best age to experience trance, techno, acid and all this cool stuff
Sedrik Traeumer totaly recognising myself in your Message :-) time flies when listening to good music. I’m 44 years old , glad I enjoyed good parties when dj’s spinned vinyl and played good trance , house and techno. Only back then iT was all called house lol. Thx for the message.
trance is the only thing that can cure any mood its the only thing that sets you free from the chains and burdens of everyday life and this is all the original stuff i grew up with and learnt to dj with these days i have no trance so the powerstomp sets me free hats off to you for these tunes!
Hands in the air, reach for the lazers, make a 'T' sign at the dj with your hands, and shout TUUUUUUUNNNNEEEEEE when the breakdown kicks in, the track builds and builds and the hairs upon your arms, neck and head stand on end....... and where were you??.................................The at an awesome club listening to Trance in the 90's!!! russ nicholls if dance music is in your heart and soul it does not matter how old you are or what genre you like i was there at the start when house started being played in nightclubs,,, and through the various genres over the years, some which i have loved and others which i have disliked , i still at 46 love listening to dance music more than any other music,,,, even though my ears are destroyed and i probably smell of wee and hob nobs,,,,,,

Hello mate I'm from Kolkata,India.I was a kid in my 90's and I absolutely had no idea what Trance actually was.I am into Trance music since 2010.From that time I came across the beauty of Trance music and specially the tunes of 90's attracts me the most.I was also into mixing music, now I left due to personal reasons. Thanks a lot for the mix mate,I enjoyed it by heart.Love and Peace...

+Sandeep Sen , I too am from Kol bro and have been listening to trance since 2005 . Too bad trance these days are nothing but cheesy electro / house crap . They won't even make you high and the sad part is today's kids dig them . What more can i say . Trance has lost it's purest form :( It's good that we have the classics here on youtube .

This is a really good mix and it reminds me of when I was younger however Reading the comments is like watching someone ascend on another level to trance music
Everyone's harping on about how teens hate don't get music like this today and they missed out or that they just flat out can't like anything else except for pop but man, this is my jam right now.
Yeah.................good times. 90s isnt just a decade is who you where inside, you lived and injoyed it everyday and no one can take that away from you, ever. 90s Forever. It never gone, if your a true 90s, it just keeps getting stronger. Im bold saying it.
Sheels1976 Yeah me too.... my stomach feels funny when I think about those wonderfull years... I thought by myself I would be thinking the same about the 2000's after a decade but no.. 90's still my fav years.
How can 18 people not like this mix? Its more late 90's but still great. There's some amazing tracks which I'd love to know the name of. Would love to lose myself in a club to this; no chance these days. Thanks Silvialain; top notch x

Haaaaa ça me replonge il y a 4 ans quand je t'ai connu avec le "mid 90's trance mix". Content de voir que tu postes à nouveau des vidéos !!! Super mix btw.
People below are stating that they're in their 40s snd 50s and still like raving or at least listening to the music as if that's unusual.. An ageing audience is just what happens with all scenes that people started out on in their late teens or twenties - the scenes eventually recede to becoming part of the past at the same time as the people who were part of thm become middle aged. Anyone who was raving to trance music when it originally started to be played from 1993 onwards is going to be at the least in their early-mid 40s now and probably older. I'm 54 and an original raver from 1988-89 - (I had a gap of a few years then started doing it again mid 90s until the early millennium) and all those from the acid house days of 1988-89 are in their 50s or just entering them as of now now. I doubt many of today's youngsters are into music of 25 to over 30 years ago as it would have been like being into stuff from the 1950's in 1988!. That would be unusual. VIEW • VIEW •
