this is the kind of stuff that bothered me about band of brothers; there's no reason to not tell the whole truth when it comes to the characters in the book. why didn't they mention that dike had two bronze stars and a prior purple heart and show his bronze star action days earlier? why didn't they show that he was wounded during the Foy Assault? why did they lie about what happened with Blithe? Why didn't they mention more how much, in retrospect, the company appreciated what Sobel's training did for them? and the list goes on and on.
