The original sword from 64 doesn't have those spikes near the grip and it never had that dome at the end of the grip. This version of the sword is likely based on the promotional art that isn't really canon to the in-game version or it's a design replica of the less popular reboot sequels!!
I made mine from cherry wood. I soaked my strip of cherry in hot water for half an hour, drained it and wiped most of the water away with a towel, then wrapped it around a socket that was the same diameter (slightly smaller to allow for sanding). After it dried for two days I used c.a. glue to saturate the wood. Sanding and sizing after the glue dried was easy and the ring turned out beautifully.
Sorry about your arm, but you can expect more. I'm 82 and going to the doctor has become my social event for the week. great video and I hope you keep it up. But, Dude, wear rubber gloves. If you get super glue on yout fingers DO NOT HIT Them with fast dry spray. The glue will sit there and burn. What glue did you use, thin or thick? Next Time...........

I know this video is old but if you're reading this, could you please provide access to the shield template again. It's on google drive and says I need to have access granted by the owner to view it so if you could, either accept my request or make the link public so anyone can access the template.
how did you put the curve of the shield in, doesn't the shield(s) in the various games show that it curves along the front, almost domelike? magnificent work though!!!
