If anyone here does board repair and has a practical way to "read" a Honda ECU they are apparently (per my bro who bought a Turbo new) unobtainable new. Finding how to reproduce one would be a boon to the community. I don't know what a reasonable price would be since all my machines are carbed for the (very) long haul.
It's not stupid. Hitting a rock going up hill or having to go up in first half way always bounced up and over. It was a death machine. You were just lucky. I was hurt numerous times.
No Sir, you are obsolutely not the only one thinking so... Today's hypercars or bikes, put a couple of them side by side, they look like they're about to build the Voltran.
I made the mistake of buying a Yamaha FZ1000R the year this Honda came out and always regretted that decision! I do think the Suzuki RG500 gamma in 1985 and the Suzuki GSX1100R in 1986 were perhaps even more groundbreaking than the Fireblade that followed, as they truly blew everyone's minds with the low weight and high horsepower compared to what was available then.
I LOVE listening and watching all these videos from all these so called EXPERTS describing how racing was back in the day when u probably weren't even ALIVE when Honda built the NSR500-
Soooo wrong. It was just Honda's too late response to the GSX-R 750 which- when they realized they couldn't match it- they just stroked out a 750 and declared it "a new category". Honda simps are really the worst....
Ive owned a 2000 f150 for 13 years. Its slow af, great off road, decent on fuel, and reliable as can be. I cant sell it because its so good to me. I believe the KLR will be the bike ill enjoy for the same reason
Great Video, BUT I'm with Ryan ~ The Katana was not appealing to my sense of aesthetic design or symmetry. I remember when they were virtually everywhere, in the 80s and 90s, and by comparison, anything parked next to it looked better.... /Sorry Fanboys *I had an 88 Yamaha FZR600, that was much more fun to look at imo
Yammie had starter problems with the early Viragos. I had a latter model Virago 1100 which I loved after a few mods. I loved the angled tank and short wheelbase which made it a great bike in the curves for a "cruiser" I used to hang with my riding buddy riding a VFR750 although I was 80lbs lighter than him. LOL

My dad had one it sounded SICK man I want one so bad cause he used to let me ride up front when I was little kid he bought it used for like 200 bucks maybe 4 can’t remember not more then that though! it was the brown one it sounded amazing easy to hit wire too he would switch the fusses around and vroom! My dad would do burnouts with it saw him wipe out on it too in front of the house it was sad he was ok though
I Had the 97 900rr. Nice bike, but kind of boring compared to a Ducati 848 I had at the time. It's the Fireblade an important bike in motorcycle history? Ok might be. The greatest Sportbike Ever? Simply not the case.
