Hi there, Thanx for the video I have used this method in other upgrades but I just tried to upgrade a PC from 23h2 to 24h2 with this method but it fails saying no TPM 2 and CPU not supported. I suspect that Micro$loth have changed things to prevent this method. of upgrading. Hoping you may be able to find a work round.
Hello. Please tell me which Wi-Fi/Bluetooth M2 module will fit and be supported by the 0654jc motherboard, ida306 chipset. I would like it to support Wi-Fi 6. The computer is a dell optiplex 5060 SFF i7 8th generation. I am leaning towards AX201.NGWG or AX200 but I cannot find any information on compatibility.
so everything worked following this guide. nice video! my only problem i'm seeing is the bluetooth driver is not functional the windows support software installed everything just fine and windows update installed the rest just fine but the only driver that failed was the bluetooth and there seems to be an issue with the graphics card driver so i had to undo everything and install using bootcamp assistant on imac. i found my issue with unreal engine (just had to switch project to use DX11 instead of Dx12)and although this install of windows ran much faster and smoother than the default windows install that you get from mac bootcamp assistant i still found that this created more problems and only after 2 hours of use i got a blue screen of death related to the graphics driver after searching the error phrase on google. so i ended up just uninstalling this using imac partition to remove the ms dos partition from the beginning and it successfully gave me a green check mark and done with no errors but when the mac shut down and i turned it on later i ran into the blue screen of death from the windows partition that had been successfully removed so it seems brigadier remained inside the boot loader for the imac annnnnd i don't know how to turn that off and remove it. i had bootcamp set to boot from Win drive so it must've got stuck in the boot sequence after i deleted the Win partition. so this left some artifacts that basically broke the boot for mac if i didn't hold down option to select the imac hard drive i had to remove using Time machine, thank god i had a recent Time Machine from last week so just be cautious guys. each mac model is equipped with different hardware and some of those hardware can no longer be updated and are no longer supported by the hardware suppliers therefore some apps such as Maya, Blender, Unity, Unreal engine WILL require the latest graphics drivers and you'll encounter so many problems if you cant upgrade or update so it's better to just use the original imac since those same drivers seem to be supported by apple. i never see a "graphics driver is not supported" error message running the same exact version of DX12 unreal engine using imac but i see it running it on windows bootcamp and i still see it using this tutorial. so it seems AMD stopped supported updates for Readeon 5300 cards which is the one Apple used for imac20,1 which is the 5k retina 27 in 2020 model. so running unreal engine on that machine works fine but bootcamp version of windows in this machine does not have a working amd radeon 5300 gpu card after install and after apple windows support software. to me this seems dumb but it's enough for me to stick with imac
I'm supposed to have a test for an interview for desktop technician entry level. The A+ courses I'm confident. I'm just glad I found this tear down for this exact model they will test me on.
I have 3 Mac Pro’s. ( 2 are 2010 ) and one is 2009. I want to upgrade the CPU’s in 2009 but I can’t get the firmware upgrade tool to work. I followed your steps but when I reboot the computer and hold down the power button I hear the chime and then my computer reboots again. I wont start the firmware upgrade. This is one thing I would like to fix because i want to upgrade the hardware. I have tried many time using the firmware upgrade tool. Using the firmware upgrade tool it use to start the upgrade and then reboot too. I could never get the firmware update to complete.
I don't think that is related to Sonoma. Most likely the Windows setup does not have drivers for your storage controller or NVMe drive. If you have downloaded the bootcamp drivers, you should be able to browse for them in the $WinPEDriver$ folder. Check out the video I did earlier on a 2019/2020 MacBook Air with the same issue: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XskcSmb6nTM.html
Great video, do you have a video with installing Sequoia on a AMD windows pc ? I attempted to download Sequoia using the gibmacos, it downloaded the file, but I did not see a dmg file in the folder
Every time I get to the part where it says create macOS installer, it starts to download for a few minutes and then it says error on a 2014 Mac mini, anybody have any suggestions?
looks easy... but is tricky ;-) I've tried to install Monterey on the exact system you have, but end up in a macOS Installer loop... The mac Pro starts up, shows me a macOS Installer icon and automatically changes to the apple logo and the progress bar. After about 30% it stops, black screen and back we are at the installer icon. Any ideas?
Should work fine with Monterey I ran that as well on the same system. Are you sure all hardware is ok? (I'm thinking memory). You could get more luck with another USB drive but it can be tricky to troubleshoot these kind of issues.
@@jensdbe I'm pretty sure hardware and memory is ok - the mac runs fine with it's last Mojave installation. I'll try it again with another usb drive, let's see whether that will solve the problem... ;-)
short feedback: it worked! I didn't realize that during the installation process there are in fact several restarts involved. And I finally got Monterey installed! It just took some time... Thanks again for you video, it was really a great help to understand how to work with opencore LP!
i got an imac 11,2 and am still having difficulties. i used rufus because the windows media thingy wasnt working and rufus worked but now my screen is blank after installing the drivers
I think you should be good to do exactly the same. The only difference should be the video drivers to get. But the generic AMD Radeon drivers should do the job.
As far as I can see in the OCLP release notes it has to do with the following: "Unfortunately due to T2 related problems, the recently dropped MacBookAir8,x models cannot be supported at this time."
I have a question: Is there an adapter to use a standard ATX power supply? I would like to install a GTX 1070 as well, but my power supply doesn't have enough power for that. Thank you very much!
The best is to look up what the order/length of the beeps/lights means. You can most likely find an answer here: support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1997210-1528385-16
I did test the speed of the SSD that I put in this late 2014 Mac Mini in the video I did when I upgraded it. You can find it here if interested: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3rz8u-r6Z1M.html
Great video i am thinking of buy it Most of my use is doing software and embedded projects.(vs co0de, qt creators , linux and dual boot windows etc.) Daily use will be 5 hours-8 hours Do you think it's wort buying it >?
After the sequia update in my macbook pro 13inch 2016. Microsoft office is just loading and can't type anything. Even though i have to subscription of Microsoft office. Please help me to fix this issue.
Its not officially supported but you can use one of the workaround (did videos on that as well) to still get Windows 11. To my experience it works just fine.
You are the best!! I was able to install Sequoia 15.0 my Mac Mini 2012 Intel Core i5, Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536MB, 16GB internal memory, 500 ssd ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT WITH YOUR VIDEO! I had attempted to complete this process watching other youtube videos, but yours was the most clear and easy to understand and detailed step by step process. I went directly from Monterey directly to Sequoia without a hitch. Easy for a 70+ year old non-techie! Thanks again.
