We are the Lindsay’s. Together with our daughter, we travel around enjoying great food, drinks, and activities. Our goal is to take our experiences to help you plan your next trip.
Whether it's cruises, hiking, RV trips, overseas trips or exploring breweries, we like to experience it all and love to share our experiences along the way.
Enjoy watching how little experiences can help you live life to fullest. It is not always the big name restaurants or popular locations that provide the best experience. Sometimes it is the mom and pop food truck or the unexpected adventure. Come along with us and live and little.
I post a new video every week on Wednesday! So please follow and enjoy!!!
If you would like to send us anything our PO Box is: PO Box 217 Louviers CO, 80131
I have been traveling with Celebrity many many times and travel with MSC once on my 50th birthday. Let's say that will be my first and last time with MSC. As soon as we enter the ship, it smell like Pinesol, not a scent I expect on a cruise. The interior was worn out and the food was so bad on the buffet as well as the fine dining. We were also disappointed with the MSC excursions. We booked an Spanish speaking excursion. They mixed it with a French group. The French guide spoke more than the Spanish one so we couldn't understand anything of what they were saying, I would not say MSC is on the same class as Celebrity. One does not need to book The Retreat to enjoy the cruise experience.
Such a shame that your husband wasn't brought up properly. Why do a lot of American think that it is ok the wear their hats whilst eating in a restaurant of any kind. It is the height of bad manners. I am surprised and disappointed that one of the staff on Apex didn't ask him to remove it. I am travelling on Apex soon and I hope that my fellow guests will know that wearing hats whilst eating is a totally unacceptable.
Trying to judge an upbringing based a hat at breakfast or lunch is very judgmental. Hats are not allowed at dinner and he will not wear a hat when it is not allowed. It is also bad manners to judge a person so please refrain from judging. We hope you enjoy the Apex but please do not judge other passengers enjoying the vacations that worked hard to pay for with their income.
We actually did a what to pack episode. Linked it here. What to Pack for the whole Family to Alaska! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2LUlEhtpF4o.html
We have done the Haven several times and Yacht club several times. Yacht Club is so much better, Haven is boring, same food everyday, no outside bar like the One pool deck and I totally disagree with the food being better in the Haven. As far as overall experience, Yacht club wins hands down. Not sure if this has changed but Haven has no priority boarding unit you get thru security, which means you have to wait on line and then go into the haven waiting area. Yacht Club has a separate area to board only for yacht Club and you bypass all the lines, same getting off.
You keep telling people which mistakes not to make, yet you keep making the HUGE mistake of cruising NCL to Alaska. The absolute worst cruise line for Alaska (speaking from having cruised there at least 6 times). Cruise Holland America or Princess and you’ll really experience Alaska as it should be.
We will do a complete review and compare a bit in a week or so. But overall it is just another level. While you may not get a butler service in the entry level, the entire ship feels like you are in the Haven or Retreat no matter where you are.
I just booked a bucket list cruise for my 75 yo mom and myself. We’ll be going in early September and I got a balcony room. I have booked the White Pass railroad, but I am unsure if there is anything else someone with limited mobility can do. I’m also now fearful of us not being able to tour the port towns. Any tips on accessible excursions?
Many of the bus tours are the best option for limited mobility. As you are looking for excursions, many of the options will specifically call out accessibility.
Emma and Jack thank you SO much for your videos! Your reviews convinced us to book MSC Yacht Club for later this year and now we are also seriously considering Explora! I am a foodie and pasta lover like Emma and by now I completely trust her opinions! Much love from a fan (currently cruising the Med on the Celebrity Ascent)
@@lindsayslivealittle Thanks for the reply. Keep the videos coming . I’m sure your subscribers will go up .Great content on your videos. I’m am a fan of the Haven. Cruising on The Breakaway from NYC to Bermuda. Will be taking in a Broadway show pre cruise. Poppy is getting big . Out of the Terrible two’s🍺👍
I’ve been on Explora I twice and will be on II this December. FYI. The ship holds a maximum of 900 passengers. So while the venues seem small; there’s a reason for that. It’s not a 5000 passenger ship. When I was on her both times; the casino was never packed. Practically empty. The shows almost the same. Now you only had 600 on your sailing. They very rarely sail at max so people like me enjoy the space. It’s like your own private yacht. Also the powers that be are aware of the issue with those couches in the elevator lobbies. It’s been a peeve of many passengers including myself especially on the inaugural. Looking forward to more videos from you guys. 😊
I promised my husband I would go but I am not getting off the ship or stepping outside, . Mountains, glaciers, cold, snow… straight misery.. I ‘ ll be in the bar, spa or casino( hopefully without windows)
Funny you say that! We were actually just back here 2 days ago (with our daughter) and we went to the aquarium! It was a beautiful aquarium. Thanks for watching!
Thx for the thoeough review. I've done 4 cruises, 1st on Carnival, other 3 on NCL. I had plans to do Haven on a future NCL booking, but it seems like the MSC YC is way better. Decisions decisions 🤔
Just discovered your channel and we're loving it. We've done the MSC Yacht Club thing and have an Explora cruise booked for next April. Your videos have got the juices flowing and we can't wait now. Thanks!!
Ooo that makes me so happy! The Explora content is almost all out. We just have 2 informational videos still to come so stay tuned for those. First one is all food and the next one is overall review! And honestly it doesn’t compare to MSC! It’s better!
I'll be sailing on the Bliss next week. (6-15-24) In Sitka, I'm doing the "Historic" Nature Walk. It's free, because of NCL's $50 credit, for excursions, at every port. I'll probably check out the town, since the bus is included.
Congratulations on the 10,000. Sorry I missed the live. I had to take my Sister to get a battery for her car. Poppy hair is getting long. Have a awesome rest of your time.
We visited on Viking Orion last September. Our tour guide in Ketchikan was flown back up from Idaho, where he goes to college for just that one day. He made pretty good money, and it must have cost $$$ to get him there, as there are no direct flights, so he went by way of Vancouver.
Congratulations on 10K subscribers! You deserve the success. I sailed Prima on the same itinerary last year and retired immediately after the cruise. 🤣Enjoy your trip and happy travels 🙂
That’s amazing!!! What an epic way to start off retirement! Hope you enjoyed it and had great weather! We have been super lucky so far on this trip! Thanks so much for watching! Emma and Jack
