I have been long boarding 40 years and SUPing 10+. I understand it is a learning(new) curve. Can you recommend any online used SUP foil combo equipment sites? East Coast where it is slowly catching on.
Thanks for the info, I appreciate the info on the low wind performance of the 945. Can you comment on it's higher wind performance, say in 20+ knots for wing foiling?
Looking for my first wing foil, I currently kite surf and want to wing in light wind - 10 to 15 Knott’s riding waste high waves . 80kg rider. Which one of these would you recommend?
@@Juan_Jalapeno yes. The gap you are seeing in the video is before the screws are completely tightened. If you cannot tighten the screws down more you might be using the wrong screws. The board should flex and bend into the shape of the fin.
Thanks for the good explanation. I wish I knew this last friday. By the way, is there a "good" or "better" survival modus when one geht's suddenly caught in really heavy storm? Keep the wing or better let it go? Thank you...
My leash broke and I tried this technique in the ocean wind and waves but could not catch the board. The swell carried the board much faster than the wind carried me and the wing. Your video shows relatively flat conditions and no swell. Any recommendations for conditions like I experienced?
Thanks for the updated video. I held my hands in various positions but maybe didnt have the wing vertically up enough to catch maximum wind. Will hopefully not have to try again unvoluntarily:)
@@Arkeopterex69 If the board is drifting fast, then it should be windy enough to catch it with the wing. Maybe try holding the back handle a bit closer to the leading edge of the wing to get more power
Hi. Super cool looking board and even better wave riding. What are your thoughts of the DJI Action 4 vs Insta 360 x3? For this type of usage. I'm a camera novice unfortunately. Regards.
Those are two very different cameras. The Insta360 X3 ist 360° Camera and the Action 4 is a standard cam. Both are great, but for my usecase the Action 4 is better because of the Form-Factor, Image Quality and a waterproof and well working remote. I am also not really a fan of the way 360 Cam footage looks and how much extra work is involved in editing it well.
Hi Gunnar. Are based out of Corralejo? Could you recommend a surfcamp or house to stay close to the beach where people are friendly, I can bring my own gear and stay for a week and other people are into winging and foiling too?? I searched online, but all descriptions are vague and I just want to hang out and wingfoil with friendly people.
Hi Martin, Yes. I am based in Corralejo. There are a few surfcamps and beachhouses/hostels around. I cannot guarantee that people are friendly though as that depends on the guests currently staying there. Flag Beach has a few apartments and hostels. The Sol y Mar is walking distance to the Waikiki Spot. flagbeach.com/accommodation/. Line-Up also offeres decent surf houses in Corralejo. At the spots most guys are friendly (like in any scene there are a mix of personalities) and will be happy to give out information and will help out if you need anything. I hope that helps.
@@GunnarBiniasch thanks Gunnar 🤙 Could the 1396P be fine for sloppy and slow max 0,5 meters Adriatic waves or simply that foil is not usable in not-flat conditions?
@@SportalcentroFor small slow waves it should be ok. Cruising speed on the 1396P is around 9 to 10 knots depending on rider weight. So waves at those speeds should be good.
Hi. That was awesome. Love the look of the Indiana gear especially the graphics on the wing from a pure aesthetic point view, such a good idea, shows character too. Regards.
good video love the music need to try UFOv2 and your bar a perfect mix rode ozone once foiling ditch them for UFO never ever go back to kites with struts give kite a try and make another get video using the UFO
The video is over 5 Years old. I am on different Kites nowadays. Tried the UFOv2 recently, I am not a fan. It does not have the power or Hangtime I want. I use the 10m Flite now from Ocean Rodeo, and that fits my current way of riding really good
On the drawing you're holding in the camera, on the lower image, there are two angles with 80° markings, that are obviously more than 90°. Thanks for the video.
What? The paper drawing of the deep tuttle with 80 degrees shown on the bottom edge (fin edge) of the deep tuttle head is exactly as per the intro diagram which is correct. The obtuse angles at the top you must be referring to are not dimensioned, but I know one is 93.4 degrees.
It’s September 2023. Has there been any standardization in the Tuttle box manufacturing since this video was published? Any updates? Changes? Gunnar, great video! As always, great content and presentation!
really hard to ride.......flat wings mean less stability when going straight.......I wish they came out with a curved wing.... I asked them to do it.....nada
Hi . It's not great for winging unless you are very light and are using a very small foil. It is too flexible for winging with bigger foils and heavier guys and girls .
Great video! I am kiter and am finaly getting up on a foil consistently. I wiegh 100 kilos. I am planning on getting the 1200 MA, 700 fuselage - the package i want to order comes with the S01 stabilizer. Considering my size and ability would you recommend the S320?
Nice footage! You really feel the speed on this one! 😃 It’s difficult for me to try and figure out what foil to choose for the free fly slalom. You need a fast for for sure, but to small you will struggle in the free fly. What setup did you end up with, and why did you choose that setup? Thanks. And epic shot when you just went rocket mode and made the commentators go nuts 😂😂😂
Hi Benjamin, In the beginning I was on my Mikes Lab 700 Foil, as I thought I needed it for the pumping leg. But it was just a bit to slow to get ahead of the fleet after the start (most of the good guys are on Chubanga V3 570cm2). So in the end I was on my ML540 Foil which is fast out of the gate and is super stable at speed. It was just enough to pump the legs if I did not make a mistake and touch down.
