I just got my newborn this week and i noticed that the swivel base rattles or loose. Is that normal for the aton g swivel or is it something to be concerned about? Thank
@@jusdimaapi all infant car seats will rattle and shake in the bases. The main thing is making sure the car seat is installed tight enough. When you check the base from the belt path with one hand, it shouldn't be able to slide more than an inch in either direction.
thanks a million. couldn't figure out how to get the recline postion indicator to work correctly for a newborn-4 month until I found your video. So simple and clear the way you presented it.
Just wanted to comment and thank you for posting this video. I cried boatload of pregnancy tears because I couldn’t figure out how to loosen the straps in my ubrn car seat.
According to One4life manual, it only needs to be removed or adjusted if its preventing the car seat headrest from being adjusted to proper height for child. "In some cases, the vehicle headrest can prevent the child restraint headrest from being raised high enough to properly adjust the harness for the fit of your child when using a forward-facing reclined position. DO NOT force the child restraint headrest past the vehicle headrest. Doing so could cause the child restraint not to perform as intended. If the location of the vehicle headrest interferes with the child restraint headrest, raise or remove the vehicle headrest. If the vehicle headrest can not be removed, move the child restraint to the upright position or try a different seating location."
You forgot to mention to put the handlebar at the shortest setting. The stroller won't fit unless you have the handrail at it's shortest. Compared to when you vertically store it, where it needs to be at the longest setting
Some blogs and reddit posts are claiming that after you remove the infant insert, the c-shaped back makes it so that chin touches chest and creates a safety hazard. Did you also notice that possibility?
I have heard from others in the CPST community that smaller children may not fit properly. Which is why it's very important for parents to educate themselves on how their car seats work and what to look for when putting their kids in car seat. Owner's manual is very important!
Clips on too high its not a bow tie the baby wooukd choke with the buckle thay high up , it's supposed to sit at chest level aligned with armpits and those thigh straps are way too tight you'd basically cut off circulation to the baby's legs that tight.
Yes, you are correct. As I mentioned in the video, the retainer clip needs to be at the armpit level. The straps look super tight because it's a soft doll. On a real baby, you couldn't get it that tight unless you used excessive force.
I wish this was as easy as it looks lol .. I’m fighting with mine because the handle on the right side doesn’t go down all the way every time you push it
That's where crash force is released in an accident. All car seats move near the back. Nothing is attached there. Some car seats move more than others. It just depends on the vehicle and car seat combination. The only place a car seat shouldn't be moving is from the belt path. And it just shouldn't be moving more than an inch. So car seats do allow some movement on the belt path.
This might be a silly question, but i cant find any other answers. Is this designed so that you still wrap the seatbelt around the car seat once its in place? Or is the locking mechanism enough so it doesnt require a seatbelt? My son is due in 2 weeks and i want to ensure im doing everything correctly and safely
The Nuna relx base allows for seat belt and LATCH installation at the same time. You would not the seat belt around the car seat after it's clicked into the base. The only time you can wrap the seat belt around the car seat is if you're doing a baseless installation. I'll attach the link for that type of install. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-irkYLFgO9Xw.html
I'm not sure if you're trying to close it while the seat is installed in the vehicle, but the Rava needs to be uninstalled in order to put the leg extender away.
This was the best instruction on this. Only one that instructs to push down and alternate pressure from side to side while tightening the strap. As a delivery driver, it made the most sense strap wise. All the other videos it had too much play. Soon I’ll be transporting my most important cargo. Appreciate it 👶🏼
Wow I'm an idiot. FTD here and I was wondering why the straps were so tight and small out of the box and couldn't figure out how to loosen it but I knew that looooong strap at the bottom had something to do with it 😂 I completely overlooked that little cubby hole
Thank you so much for this video. I had it correct all along and my wife insisted that I put it in wrong but thankfully from this video it shows that I was correct all along and I’m the best dad ever. Thanks again!
