…… Sacchi was nothing special . That team was build up by the great “ Maestro “ Niels Liedholm . Sacchi show up and say “ buy me these four . Raychard , Ancelotti , Van Basten and Gullit . With that team even my Nonna would have won
If the fans were not foolish enough, how they expect any manager to do well or manage a team against the most dangerous young prime monster of Cristiano Ronaldo
I have no dog in this race but for me it’s lampard, he won everything in club football and was a consistent goal scorer, for a midfielder his numbers were phenomenal. As world class as Gerrard was he didn’t win everything, he scored a lot of important goals but his numbers weren’t as good as lampards when they were both in their peak. Lampard conquered the club game and all the side missions.
Best Manager ever. He always took on challenges, and damn did he deliver. Every time. Respect. Easy to win like pep with best teams money can buy both at barca and man city and bayern. Try winning UCL with underdogs
Messi’s the goat, but his injuries had nothing to do with Ronaldo winning them ballon Dior’s .He was just that good and determined.I remember after that ucl semi, he was asked is Messi the best. And Ronaldo said “ yeah, But we will see in the end “
He was not "shit". I don't get why some keepers like Neuer or Casillas (which were better, granted) could get away with so many dumb mistakes, but others like Valdes or Dida get so much criticism.
The only thing Gerrard was stopped or i can say didn't help him Liverpool fc average players around him. I wish he got players like van dijk, salah mane and coach like klopp he would have won many. His loyalty and love for Liverpool fc always be his thing
I don't think it's much of a debate. Early Madrid days, especially 2011 - 14, he was an output machine. But beyond that, his general play was peak. Ball carrying was more direct and vertical than late United. Ability to play off a teammate and vice versa was at its best. Very well developed off the ball movement. Still a creative player but an outlet nonetheless. Hell even decent out of possession, pretty solid defensive duties. Mourinho/Ancelotti showcased some versatility by taking advantage of his unreal talent. 2013 is what does it for me though, output monster with general play at a high. Although Juve CR7 is heavily, heavily underrated.
2008 - 2013 is the prime time for wingernaldo performance (dribble, finishing, agility and pace, crossing, creativity and free kick) Man-U, Early Madrid 2014 - 2019 is prime time for Complete forwardnaldo (off the ball, strength, physical athelticsm, better finishing, heading, better long shot, penalty while decreasing in speed and dribbling, creativiry ability because of injury and positional change) middle to end Madrid, Juve. Overall best ronaldo is between 2013-2015
As a young Belgium fan, I was not too old when Denly started doing his thing and I didn’t grew up watching him so when I fell out of love from football, I didn’t get to see us shine. So always lacked the Analytical viewpoint necessary to grasp the immense talents that we were lucky to have in our country and he was part of the golden hero and one of tremendous player so thank you for giving this man is because he’s one of a kind
That team played beautiful football but it wasn't as dominant as people like to believe nowadays. They tend to ignore that Serie A back then was by far the strongest league with their clubs being in European finals more often than any other league. And in that league Milan was head and shoulders above every other team, clinching titles a few matchdays before the end of the season. Yes, Barcelona were favourites against Milan in 94 but only because Baresi and Costacurta were missing out. Barcelona was scary because of their attack but Milan was scary because of their defensive line. They conceded very few goals, not only in Serie A but also in Champions League. Scoring against Milan or achieving a draw against them was considered a success, let alone defeating them. How someone could seriously think he can just walk over them and collect the trophy against Capellos Milan was beyone me back then and still is today.
He grew up in Linkeroever not Kiel also the picture's you showed are in a area called (Chicago blok) he lived here the little football pitch you see is called (Bloementijn) flower garden he use to play here with his twin sister and they would always destroy everyone i remember my brother telling me how good his sister was she could really hold her own around semi grown men🤣
R9 partied, Ronaldinho partied, Maradona partied and sniffed but they lecture Naingollan. I wonder if any of these legends mentioned defended Radjas side
