When ordering, request carrier other than usps. It's a scam that suppliers pocket more money and you will not get your package any sooner. Still waiting on mine
I used 2 pieces of 110mm pvc pipe with each a reducer of 110/40mm - these two parts are slotted into one another with a 40mm washer linear solenoid arm in the middle to close and open 40mm holes. Think of it like 2 cones stacked if one hole open the other closes.
Have em' on my new 2019 Springfield. They were already on the bike on the showroom floor. I love em'! They have the bad-ass factor without being stupid loud.
Hi David....trying to find you for a pictorial wiring diagram for your ‘Auto fish feeder’ Looks amazing...i am trying to make a 12v motor run to feed my chickens using a 12v programmable timer and a delay relay to allow, say, a 20 second spin ?? Then shut off . Love to hear from you. Best wishes Phil in England ! Kirmp@hotmail.com
hello, I wold like to get a part list and where to find the componet. this is the best and simple video for this matter! If you can sent it to jts1040@gmail.com Thanks and God Bless You
David Berthelette I just purchased a pair for my 2017 Indian Dark horse. Was wondering what the difference is beyond the stock pipes. Sounds good, what’s your thoughts having had them for some time now.
Question for you..why not set it up so the backrest is fixed and non removable? I feel like having something so easily removable someone would just steal it or it come off while you are adjusting on the highway and the backrest just slips out
jason villegas You could certainly do that if you wish. I no longer use this backrest. I traded my Chieftain for a Roadmaster and have the Indian backrest that is also removable. I put the backrest in a saddlebag and lock up when leaving the motorcycle unattended. It only takes a few seconds to do this and not a big hassle for me. Personally, I don't see the need nor desire to adjust the backrest while on the highway but if you made it fixed and non-removable...you would be able to adjust it anyway. If you wanted to do that, however, you could simply drill a hole for a pin to keep it from coming out.
*_🐟 🐡🌱My brother and I love to keep fish and aquariums and have recently dwell upon the possibility of combining farming with rearing fish. This book gave us a lot of info on how to start with a simple dry Aquaponics setup and how to maintain one effectively [Check Details Here ===>_**_fb.com/AquaponicsSystem-125782164733983/app/208195102528120_**_ ]. I love the diagrams in the book as I am a visual learner and am able to remember them vividly._*
Cool, but you could have used a simple 555 as a timer that gives you the 4 seconds. 25 cents instead of 8$. Many ways to skin a cat. By the way, be careful with those timers, if the power goes out and comes back on they sometimes go to the ON mode and stay on till the program goes to the OFF time.
Hi David. I copied your RU-vid video, put it on a flash stick and took it to my Indian dealer who made the modification. I'm 5'9" and the result was fantastic. The backrest doesn't push me forward any longer and it has plenty of give in it. Best mod I've done to my Springfield so far. Many, Many thanks. Cheers Kym.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing your mod. I'll be ordering a Grasshopper backrest very soon for my '17 Chieftain and just seeing the internals was a help to me. Thanks!
Well done video David and many thanks. Can I ask does your mod move the pad further back than standard and if so by about how much? The season I ask is that have just bought a Grasshopper backrest and installed it on my 2016 Springfield and I'm only 5'9" and I find it pushes me too far forward to the point of being uncomfortable after a while of riding so I want to move the pad back a bit. Cheers Kym (Sydney AUSTRALIA)
I made a small, handheld foam cutter just yesterday, but it is using batteries so it isn't the best system. I'm definitely going to think about your design when I make my next one.
Hey David, whats the voltage you're running through the "switch" side of the timer? I'm trying to do something similar - power the unit with 220v, but the unit I'm trying to control/time/switch is 12VDC.
