I saw it the other day I enjoyed it for the most part. A very artsy thriller w/ some horror elements. The backstory wasn't fully explained , but the film leaves breadcrumbs for the audience to pick up on. Good review, man.

I SAW THIS VID! I THOUGHT YOU HAD LIKE 1MIL SUBS! BUT YOU ONLY HAVE 129! IM SUBBING BECAUSE OF THIS! (Also I have a question, does the baby pool come w/ a drink & popcorn?)
@@ToastVrOffical wow thank you that means so much for you to say that !! And yes the babypool is a drink and popcorn holder . So you would get both at the regal if you are able to buy it
@leosnerdtalk I hope they get a clue and make every marvel rated R just for the violence and some swearing .. im gen x every great movie was r rated in the 80s and half the 90s
@@independentfreethinkeroutl2176 do think every marvel that had deadpool in it should be rated R I doubt marvel will do that since pg13 brings more people in typically. But i do agree a few more rated R marvel movies would be great!
You’re missing one bucket. I have it, it’s a red tin popcorn bucket with a plastic base underneath with the Deadpool and wolverine action figure on each side and it comes with a tall cup.
@@alisterx8698 i did buy it on cinemark.com but i didn’t want to wait for it to arrive. I was gonna mention it and just show a picture in the video but i forgot lol
Great video, I was lucky to purchase Headpool,Babypool, and Mouth Wolverine. I can't believe how much they are selling for on eBay.. I also have a video on these buckets. 💪😉
I agree that it's the best out of the 3 DP movies and it was probably one of the best cinema experiences I've ever had. But I will say that I wish they chose another villain than cassandra nova, she was just so boring and lackluster even if she's related to Professor X. The cgi also was a bit weird at times which kinda pulled me out of it, particularly in the opening scene. Other than that I FRICKING LOVE Wolverine's costume and especially his mask, which I will say I was hoping to see more of and I don't even wanna start with the cameos, man they cooked with those. Overall really enjoyable but not perfect, 7.3/10.
@@metalcorian yeah I watched it again last night and the flaws stuck out more for me but I still loved it and cameos omg even though i knew they were coming still got so hyped.
Man, I got lucky I ran inside my local AMC from my house asked the dude if they had it that he said they ran out of wolverines. I said I’m here for the head pool and I didn’t have to buy no ticket. I’m very lucky I guess great video.
Hey Leo, thank you so much. Even if you just made a brief summary of this masterpiece, there is one thing that bothers me recently: the pacing of the story. For me it is perfect. But i have recognized that a lot of younger folks find it too slow. I showed this movie to my son a few days ago and he was bored to death until the chestburster scene. He is very familiar with the MCU and until now horror movies for him were Godzilla or King Kong movies. Cinema has changed in the past 40 years. I´m really looking forward to Alien: Romulus! thx
@@vincentblackshadow6257 thank you so much i really appreciate you!! Movie definitely are completely different now. One thing I love about older movies is the focus on characters and story. Even when something feels slow it still keeps you locked in. Thank you again!
Greatest SciFi horror ever made. I've loved A L I E N ever since my late mother let me stay up to watch it on TV in the early 80s when I was just eight. I built the Nostromo out of Lego and devised my own board game based on the film. My passion for art was directly inspired by this masterpiece. The original gets under your skin in ways that the sequels never have.
@@leosnerdtalk A schoolmate who helped with the game reminded me of it recently so I bought the board game A L I E N: Fate Of The Nostromo and it was remarkably similar to mine. I too had a fear factor handicap and crew morale diminishing.
I thought this movie was pretty good consider I did not see the first two movies. I like the 80s nostalgic movies and the story line was pretty straight forward. How are you doing today and how your day.
Good ranking. I definitely have a ranking you won’t agree with 😂 But I guess despite the lower budget and cheaper production, I’ve always felt the first 2 films show the best/most accurate portrayal of Max. Furiosa was a great prequel and I appreciate it just as much as Fury Road. 5. Beyond Thunderdome 4. Furiosa 3. Fury Road 2. Mad Max 1. Road Warrior
@@ZachAttack313 i can 100% see why road warrior is your favorite. I think since I didn’t grow up with the original i dont have nostalgia for it. And i just didn’t fully enjoy it , good aspect though
Hey dude - great review! I also love your setup, handsome squidward in the back ha ha ha , I also uploaded my review for this- we have both similar and different takes. Give it a look if you’re free!
Just found your channel you do a great job could you check out your audio it’s a bit low and hard to hear I’m not complaining brother just letting you know I definitely subscribed tho
One of the best movies that came out this year and that saying alot. Especially that one scene with Reggie. Well put together movie and definitely worth seeing twice. How are you doing today and how your day?
Definitely that reggie scene was awesome!! Im doing good thank you for asking I was planning on recording a video today but feeling under the weather. Over im good how about yourself?
Are you a fan of the 1995 original do you like Michael bay bettter than these new directing duo he is far superior in my opinion he started the franchise in the classic blockbuster era aka the golden age of mainstream Hollywood action blockbusters.
The Mad Max Fury Road comic book, written by George Miller, will tell you Immortan Joe's origin story, when his name was Colonel Joe Moore. That comic book, or, graphic novel, fills in some other things, like how did Max get his V8 Interceptor back, when we saw it destroyed in The Road Warrior? And tells you who that little ghost girl is that haunts Max in Fury Road, and why. You should get it!
Thanks for ranking the Mad Max franchise. I grew up watching these movies in the late 70's and early 80's. This is how I would rank them: 5. Furiosa (saw it 2 days ago and my wife and I really enjoyed it, but I missed Mad Max) 8/10 4. Thunderdome (agree with you: good beginning, slow middle, solid ending) 8.5/10 3. Fury Road (Great action from beginning to end and I enjoyed the simple story) 9/10 2. Mad Max (I enjoyed the odd characters and the creativity with the low budget) 9.5/10 1. The Road Warrior (I love Mad Max's quiet confidence and his relationship with the Gyro Captain. Pure Nostalgia!) 10/10
FYI Mad Max (1979) was made on a $350,000-400,000 budget. It was also George Miller’s first full length movie. Not bad for a guy who started his career as a…physician.
I liked the ranking dont agree but do understand americans dont really understand australia and Australian films hence the Hollywood sell out fury road film with a horrible max that says 3 words at the top i think every australian would say 1. Road warrior 2. Mad max 3. Thunderdome and 4. Fury road haven't seen furiosa yet but liked the opions and points
That make sense. And i am very bias to fury road not only for it being more of an American film but it was really my only experience with mad max before this past month when i watched them all I do really enjoyed road warrior tho! Thank you for the comment i really appreciate it!
I respect your ranking, despite the fact that most everyone (including myself) agrees that "Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome" is the low point in the ("Mad Max" saga) series.
Yeah i definitely go back and forth between mad max and thunderdome i just prefer the beginning and ending of thunderdome more than the whole movie of mad max. Where thunderdome middle act is just peter pan bs , mad max middle act is just a romantic road trip they are both weird
Dude you on drugs. Can't comment on latest one but of the 4 before it: 1. Road warrior. 2. Original (could easily switch 1 and 2 around). 3. Thunderdome. 4. Fury road the most overrated film of the modern age since fight club.
Wow lol i mean i respect your opinion dont think you need to say im on drugs however. And most mad max fans would highly disagree with you. Both fight club and fury road are on rolling stones top 100 movies of all time for a reason and they dont just decide it ….its based on critics and audience surveys. But hey man thats while we are allowed to have different opinions like i said in the movie i dont expect anyone to agree with me and even when i put mad max last i said i know there are people that love it.
@@leosnerdtalk Drugs comments a joke - like, "you're tripping" :-) I suspect most so called Mad Max fans didn't even know the franchise existed prior to Fury Road and weren't invested in Mel Gibson. Fury Road has some interesting moments, but then intensity of the action doesn't stack up with Road Warrior and Hardy's max character were a sub-character at best in this version - thus the Furiosa spin off. As Quentin Tarantino rightly said "in a world where Mel Gibson lives, why would you do Mad Max without him" especially given he seems more ornery/grizzly now than ever before! Regarding Thunderdome - it was still a great movie with an interesting concept/story, the previous 2 movies however were so good they were hard to beat.
@@happydude2163 i 100% agree that my bias to fury road is that i saw it first i love road warrior and dont think fury road would exist without it . So i see all you point
Speaking as a guy who grew up watching the old Mad Max movies all the time with his dad, Fury Road is still the absolute best of the series. I’m sorry, I could understand you thinking Road Warrior maybe edges it out (it’d be an arguable opinion at least) but the idea that Fury Road is lesser than Mad Max/Beyond Thunderdome? Sorry, that’s absolutely silly. Either it’s blind nostalgia or blind hate because either Mel Gibson wasn’t in it or something else.
The setting is before the nuclear bombs are dropped. Society it’s breaking down because of fuel shortage, environmental decline etc. the bombs drop somewhere between this film and mad max 2.
Yeah i read something before hand that he did then learned after he didn’t I always go into my videos pretty blind just cuz i dont want others influencing my thoughts. But IMDB is a good idea to look at thank you
Lol yeah i went back and forth if i should do it or not and i eventually i was like i think the idea is good and unique some will hate it some will like it lol
