Cool game but kinda wish there was more to do and more tricks up it's sleeve. Enjoyed it but found Hellsweeper and haven't gone back. Hellsweeper I'm summoning swords and guns with a flick of my wrist like a god, tearing rock chunks from the earth and hurling them at enemies, doing front flips and landing headshots like I'm in the matrix, and using telekinesis to throw dead enemies and weapons around the battlefield like a sith Lord. It's like a first person devil may cry Max Payne game and I'm in love. If it had the synapse visual fidelity it would be GOAT
If this had the more interactive environment from blade and sorcery it would be the best vr game ever imo. Love the combat but i miss climbing environments by superheating my sword and stabbing it into solid stone, being able to jump with a button, and enemy bodies despawn a bit fast. But i will say the combat itself feels so much smoother to me than blade and sorcery and the weapon collision feels so much more consistent. Really enjoy the game and plan to get my money's worth
Let me say I'm happy about getting this and behemoth, but, realistically, people, let's enjoy the heck out of 2024 because it's probably going to die after this. It costs money to make headsets and develop games, and so far the sales are not justifying it. Unfortunately, it means the support will not be there. It looks like in VR currently, the only developers with a chance are making for quest ecosystem. And even they are having a hard time.
Tempering my expectations with this one because my gold standard for a VR Aliens game is Alien Isolation with the VR mod. If they can balance the gunplay and keep it minimal I think the game could be really good, but if the focus becomes shooting I have little confidence this will knock it out of the park. Survios has sat on this game for an awful long time and only managed to piece together a less than 60 second "gameplay" trailer, hope they prove me wrong.
The last word we got was "Late 2024" after it got delayed from "Late 2023". So unless it gets delayed again we're probably only about 5 months away! :D
The game is amazing, I've almost completed all the single player events and I can't believe the fun I'm having. I think this is one of the most underrated game on Psvr2 and right now eanyone who remotely like this kind of games should buy it. It's so much funnier and satisfyng than Dash dash world, and technically is a blast on Psvr2. Frame rate is rock solid at native 90 hz, the graphics are so nice and colourful. Also, the sharpness is top notch and hdr dynamic really shines, both in color saturation and lights (some effects are really wonderful). There's so much content, all with brilliant desgins for both tracks and characters, and the challenges alone are amazing, and incredibily fun because of the special weapon specific to any single world. I especially like the portal and the hook, but each of them are tons of fun to use and give so much strategy and thickness to the races. Also, the driving system works so well either with the controllers, or with the wheel and one controller. My advice is really not to miss this one... and of course, Kudos to the amazing effort the devs put to make this game so great, fixing ALL the major issues it had at launch.
I'm more concerned that it's coming from Survios who did The Walking Dead Onslaught... but Alien has been in development a LONNNNG time so hopefully they nail it this time! :D
Don't know the mechanics, but can the camera capture the ps5 controller? If so that could up the sales of cameras. Even if they created a psvr2 compatible ps5 controller which would work I would buy for astrobot.
If PlayStation had any interest or intention of having PSVR2 track the DualSense they'd have spent the merger additional cost of adding some IR LEDs in the first place. It wasn't an oversight, they actively decided against having the ability to track the DualSense in that manner, even knowing it would rule out future BC possibilities. They're not going to shift their stance now.
Miles appearance felt like he was a practically a mute, he seemed reluctant to engage, and didn’t much. 😂 he seemed uncomfortable entering in the conversations between Ryan and Jammy. Looked bored and lost, through the episode. Did not vibe well with Jammy. Thoughts?
In case you haven't been keeping up Myles has a new job and is an extremely hard worker. Anything you're seeing is a result of him being extremely tired but yet still being here and showing up for me and the community. No drama, I promise! :D
This was my favorite game on the Oculus Go. Played thru with no bugs at all. They released it for free on the Quest 2, which I now have, and played it thru again not too long ago on that. Still a great game, and again, no bugs for me.
The bugs were brought along from the Oculus version. Glad you didn't experience them though! Sadly that's what makes bugs bugs --- no everyone experiences them so they're sometimes hard to find or hard to replicate, making them even harder to fix.
I hate to say this, but I finally see that sony doesn't give a crap about us, she just doesn't care. Bloodborne, I have no hope anymore. It's a disgrace, have a nice weekend Bryan.
There's basically zero chance they don't do something with Bloodborne; they're making a film, it sold seven million units, it's essentially their most prestigious title for the core audience that are the most aggressive early adopters for a platform. I would guess it'll be a PS6 launch title, but it will come back in some form.
So bizarre, watching an almost 5 year old show, and Nihilist Ryan tipping about wanting "the 7th guest" coming to PSVR. And now we have it on PSVR2 😳 While watching these old shows and hearing some of the rumours and ideas turning out true eventually is really amazing 😻 1:16:18 is Ryan's tip
