Thank you! I have done this oke some games but made them incompatible with the updates and or dlcs like army of two so i need help to make them work again do you know what i need to do to fix it?
If you haven't overwrite the original default.xex It Is enough to use the original one renaming it to default.xex again. Otherwise, I can send It to you. Another way Is to mod the title update (TU) xex. You have to download the TU from xboxunity, open it in Horizon, save all the files, merge the xex with the One you have in the game folder and add the files that are in the TU archive.
@@xbox360forever3 how can you send it to me? Do you have a video for the title update modding? Thanks for your time. I'm just needing the title update explained a little more in depth
If you write an email to xbox360forever2021@gmail.com I can send the original xex (hoping it has the same Media ID). I'll make a video soon on how to update a TU file.
It's one of my favorite arcade racers of the 7th gen, together with Ridge Racer 7, Blur, Burnout Paradise and the Motorstorm series. And with this I suggest to try to unlock and also play Blur, it's great fun both in single-player and multiplayer.
I would like to read the real framerate before and also make a complete video. Anyway, if you want to test it the location in HxD is 8EE298 (888eb298 in real value) and change the 40 9A to 48 00
Thanks for the comment. I agree. I'll wait for MattyGTI analysis to know the exact amount of frames. I think 35-38 fps, but I can assure it's noticeable in more responsive commands and general smoothness.
To be clear, i can patch my xbox 360 games to run at 60fps on real hardware? I cant find anything about it on google and coming from a pc, the default 30 fps on the 369 hurts my soul lol so id love if i could play more games at higher framerate
Hi, I've unlocked games to run at maximum framerate the real console can give. Sometimes it's very close to 60 fps most of the time, sometimes 60 fps are only the peak, sometimes you have more than 30 fps but far from 60 fps (eg. 40-45 fps). Unfortunately it means to have vsync off for almost all games. Good examples are DMC, NFS Shift, Ace Combat 6, GOW Judgement, Mass Effect 3 and many others. Search for them on my channel.
a little more optimization and 60fps would have been a reality. i wonder what was the roadblock during development that made them opt for 30fps instead of 60.
I totally agree. As you know better than me, technically, probably the heat of gpu. Economically, optimization requires time, that means money, good programmers, late on scheduling. For a time in which CRT TV were still very popular.
@@xbox360forever3 Absolutely. Also, 30fps was an industry standard at the time and none of the above would be worth going tru to achieve 60fps. Great vid btw!
Thanks. There's a preview video of unlocked Condemned 2 on my channel, but I would like to test it better before upload a complete video. About Condemned CO I've gained something but not so sure it's better
how'd you manage this? if i could get my 360 to keep up these many frames, i wouldn't have to spend a million dollars on building a steam library of all these games from the 360 era.
I always explain how to mod the xex in the description of the complete videos, not in the preview ones. Watch my tutorial and Skyrim in real time video that show how I work. I generally send the modded xex by mail for free due to copyright reasons. Unfortunately it's not like to have the PC version, but some of them become more playable.
It's probably your first video with unlocked fps demonstration where I don't see an obvious screen tearing. Maybe because it's just too dark and foggy in there😅 Upd: never mind, 7-9 minutes in and it can be noticed. I'm not nitpicking, I understand there's not so many ways to get this type of unlock on xb360 beside "vsync off".
Hi Nuno. Already tested both (I've almost tested every Xbox 360 game). If I remember well, the first has the vsync of already. The second probably gains only more responsive commands. I'll check better asap.
@@xbox360forever3 Lossless Scaling is a program that includes Frame Generation technology, but to use it on consoles, it's necessary to transfer the image to the computer with a capture card.
Interesting! I was searching for a software that do this, a sort of software version of Sony Motionflow. I have a couple of capture card. The Elgato HD60, the one I generally use to capture games for my videos, and another cheaper one, the Otha. The only issue could be the latency, due both to the software and the capture card. I'll probably by and test it. Thank you very much.
I've read somewere that even if not specified, probably to use the frame generation function I need the graphic card in the recommended spec. that is GTX 1060 but at the moment I have a 1050 ti on a PC and a 1650 on another, both less powerful than the recommended. But probably I'll change the 1050 for work reasons soon.
Generally speaking, so for each game I've unlocked, I've noticed that even only 40 fps return more playability and avoid the terrible "blur" effect (I don't mean the real blur effect)
I think you have to take the default.xex from the god archive using Horizon, then mod the default.xex and put back the modded default.xex in the god archive. It should work.
I've tried without success. I want to test the values reported on Xenia patch. I don't expect too much because this game is so heavy for the power of our Xbox 360
This is the beautifullest of xbox 360 graphics and fps is improvised, i dont give an f for the vertical synchronization being turned off, i played all games on pc even with highest end cpu & gpu without turning on the vertical synchronization setting
On Xbox 360 is almost impossible to have unlocked framerate preserving the vsync. When I did (eg. King Kong, Half Life 2), in crowded locations the framerate drops to 30 fps from 60. And it's very tedious.
Thanks. Regarding King Kong I've disabled the vsync last year, but the bad news are it is not so good as I expected. I remeber I've found other values that seems to be better. I have to test it again.
I don't think these tools exist for mobiles. If you need the modded xex just send an email to xbox360forever2021@gmail.com, I'll send you them for free
noticed the smoothness. not sure if it always reaches 60fps but i notice something around high 40s to 50s. surely hits 60fps when there's no adversaries showing up in the camera.
You're right. As writte inside the video and in the description, the framerate is close to 60 fps when there aren't opponents on screen, tracks are not complex (Brands Hatch with its trees lowers the framerate) and there's no rain. But in general it's very funny and smooth, even if the original has a very good 30 fps.
Would Need For Speed Most Wanted (2005) and Pro Street have a bad Vsync similar to that of this game? It would be interesting to see if performance improves, it usually has quite a few drops and an unstable 40fps as I have noticed in the original game (especially in Most Wanted).
Both are not well optimized in my opinion. Pro Street unlocked is almost playable only in the first person view and Most Wanted 2005 is already unlocked but with vsync on. If I remember well, because I've tested last year (even if I have an Excel file with all locations and tests for each game), it's the same: improve fps in the first person view but with some indecision when turning. In my opinion they have done a masterpiece only with NFS Shift.
functional code in the PAL SPANISH version of default.xex, Presents very little tearing. You would almost certainly get stable 60fps if you disabled motion blur. (to move this game to stable 60fps on many PCs you must do that, Motion Blur is a very heavy visual effect in this game for some reason, anyway in my opinion it doesn't contribute anything to the gameplay and the game looks better without that visual effect).
Hey brother i see your uncap fps can you send me default.xex RDR 1 GTA V MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 1 & 2 GTA IV Mafia 2 And if you have all default.xex Send to me all i will be thankful To you 💝 I send this to you in email ♥️
motionflow or any other configuration to create frames and fake 60fps adds a very high input lag, it's horrible to play like that in multiplayer games.
Have you tested them? I haven't tested any multiplayer game, but in single player, at 720p, it's an incredible experience without lags. I've also combined my unlocked version of Alien Isolation with Motionflow and it runs very well, better than original+Motionflow.
@@xbox360forever3 Yes, I tested it. Motion Flow also makes the image blurry and loses a little sharpness, I don't recommend it because it looks unnatural but if you like it that way it's ok.
While I do appreciate you trying to branch out and show off the tech of Sony Motionflow (and it is an interesting piece of technology), I would rather prefer to see the games running with an actual unlocked framerate to show off the power of the Xbox 360 and your great tech skills (even if the videos take longer to take trying to find a compatible title and trying to find the right values for it) rather than games being interpolated to appear that they're running at 60fps (which creates a kind of smeary, messy image and is kind of disingenuous in showing off the actual game, system, and your tech skills).
Hi, consider I've almost tested every Xbox 360 game looking for the right locations to change to unlock them. For some of them I have to upload a complete video because there are only preview ones, for other, very few, I will upload a video for the first time. For what remains, I wasn't able to unlock them (but they probably could, my skills are not so great). So I can't do a lot with unlocked section of my project. Instead, it's interesting to see how an external technology, like Sony Motionflow, can help for 30 fps games, despite the console you're using. I can assure the effect Is absolutely real, better than any unlocked game, stunning to see our 360 games running at 60 fps and it's not a false perception, it's incredibly realistic.
If I remember well (I'm not at home this period), ACBF is one of the games that has not the usual values, so I'm not able to find them unless I study another way.
