Don’t get me wrong…I love fishing…But for the life of me, I can’t understand the attraction of fishing out of a $30K boat, for a fish that may weigh 6lbs, that you battle for a minute of two,while wearing colorful jerseys advertising boats and tackle…SMH

I got caught like you. In a flatbottom big jon. Pulled in against clay bank. Corn field on top. It hailed and blew hard. I hunkered under poncho. Kept engine running. To hold it bow into bank. High bank broke wind but hail hurt. I put a cooler top over my head.
Dave’s best stories used to come out on his Christmas videos when he would get a long history lesson going about a local land site or legend. They were complex and hilarious.
Finally got a boat I live in wv drug it to the Potomac last weekend got on a drift bite and killed them between 15 an 25 lbs would not have known how to do that if it wasn’t for guys like you and Steve Douglas Ty made a nice trip keep them coming
1639 my kinfolk set first foot in this country. I was born on the banks of the mighty Mississippi... spent young years on the lower Wisconsin ( the claimer of many lives)... traveled the world for twenty five years before returning to the banks of an Ancient much smaller river witnin ten miles of both aforementioned waterways. The old river rats are bout all gone now.
