Looking forward to ur future videos. I still find this episode good for the most part but their are issues i have with it mostly for the last 5 minutes.. Everything with the blacks was very predictable while everything with the greens was intriguing. Team Green.
I like how we saw the rat catcher and his dog all along in the episode ;) Larys Strong is inspired from Talleyrand, a French diplomat who was active in Napoleon's time and later. Fascinating character wonderfully portrayed in the 2002 Napoleon mini series.
The smith says they need money upfront to buy iron. So there's a good reason for paying them ahead, or at least to advance part of the payment so they can supply themselves.
In the book, Alicent was with Helaena during "blood and cheese", I'm not sure why she was banging Criston here but oh well. The scene was so much more gruesome in the book, Helaena had two sons and they asked her to choose which one to die, she offered her own life, they refused and threated to abuse her daughter if she didn't chose, then she chose the younger one who was like a toddler because she thought he wouldn't know what was happening, they told him "your mama wants you dead" and went for the eldest one instead. The scene ended with her in complete despair on the floor, screaming with her son's corpse in her arms while they left with his head on a sack. I'm so glad you picked up on Daemon, because most people thought he only went for Aemond, but how would they know about "a son for a son" if he didn't asked them? When they asked "what are we supposed to do if we don't find Aemond?" the scene cut because if he told them, the surprise would be over for those who didn't knew what was going to happen. Lucerys' death was unjustified, but he offered to go to Storm's End knowing that he could bump into anyone on team green, he had a dragon and he took Aemond's eye, so you can't really compare it to a toddler who didn't even had the chance to live, being beheaded in front of his mother. That was so fucking low, even for Daemon. It's so sad because Aegon really loved him, you can see it in the council room scene, and now he'll be looking for vengeance too. Things are about to get messy. Great reaction as always, man! Justice for Jaehaerys!!
Totally agree about the relationship of Rhaenyra with her 4 brothers. She never tried to be kind or friendly with them, she was a terrible sister. And when she say "Alicent's son" it's like didn't recogniza them, when they share blood.

She is the legitimate heir to the Iron Throne, being the 1st child of the king and was designated by Viserys I who has never gone back on his word in more than 20 years. She was trained as heir to the throne by the king himself so of course she is intelligent and competent. Besides, she is the only one to whom Viserys told the prophecy so if Aegon doesn't know it how will he give it to his heir?? He is not the heir of Viserys and was not raised as a true Tragaryen. If she is not competent, that means that Viserys and his grandfather who was the king before him, are idiots too. I do not believe. Several times you have said yourself and approved that Aegon is more legitimate than her because she is a woman.... it's a ridiculous argument. She is not jealous of Daemon but she wants him to consider her as his ruler. I found her very strong because she lost her throne, her baby, her son, her father in less than 2 days... Aegon didn't want the throne and Rhaenyra and Daemon were made to rule because they are true Targaryens, Aemond and Aegon have always been the instruments of the Hightowers. The greens should have respected Viserys' words because it is because of them that the horrors are happening.... Aemond’s situation is quite complicated. He’s only two years older than Lucerys (the boy who took his eye / although he looks way older he’s also a teenager) and after becoming disabled for life, no one ever apologized for taking his eye, Lucerys even laughed at his face at the dinner table scene. The actor who plays Aemond describes him as someone who has a lot of pain and resentment, he said it himself that “it could’ve been fixed with an apology the night they took his eye, but instead it was left to fester and that was the result”. I obviously don’t condone murder, but I understand why Aemond went after him (I think anyone would harbor a lot of rage and resentment towards someone who did something like this and had no consequences, even his own father was on the kid’s side because of Rhaenyra). In the book when Aemond goes back to KL, Otto is like “You only lost one eye, how could you be so blind?” Because he literally started the war after killing Lucerys, even if it was an accident there’s no going back now and the consequences will be terrible for everyone involved. I’m very excited for the next season and I can’t wait to watch your reactions to it! If they follow the events of the book, things are about to get WILD so brace yourself!!! @@EverydayReacts-ev8mw They wrote the greens to be cardboard villains ( Alicent being a resentful and paranoid woman, Criston being a bitter ex who hates Rhaenyra, Aegon with the whole servant thing and the fighting pit, Aemond being Aemond, etc) and erased everything that made the blacks look bad ( in the scene where Daemon kills Vaemond for instance, in the book Rhaenyra kinda told him to do it and fed Vaemond’s corpse to her dragon, after this his family came to court to plead to keep Driftmark and Viserys cut their tongues off, but in the show Daemon killed him to protect “her honor” instead) and in return they kinda shot their own foot because by removing everything that made the blacks look fierce and interesting, they made them bland and boring so many people who sided with the greens sided with them because they’re more interesting and cool, despite the show runner’s attempts to villainize them and from all the reviews I’ve read for the first episodes of the second season, everyone is saying that their characters are the most interesting and compelling ones to watch, while the blacks are just… There, I guess. So I expect a lot of people to turn green this season.

Vhagar is a dragon who has seen a lot of battles, she was ridden by Visenya Targaryen during the wars of conquest, she’s literally a war veteran and a war tank, so putting her in a situation where her rider tells her to go after another dragon could only result in tragedy and Aemond should’ve known that ( I don’t think he knew how hostile she can be though, but it was stupid on his part ). Vhagar only did what she had to do in a scenario where she thought herself and her rider were in danger ( after Lucerys’ dragon attacked her ) so I don’t blame her for it.

i really like your reactions and how you talk about the greens but i wish you'd kept in your thoughts on aegon's children in the fight ring.. as you're team green and you passionately believe aegon is the rightful king would've liked to see your thoughts here. i haven't read the books, just a fan of the show, so as i was watching i never grew to like aegon. all i ever saw was him drinking, raping, and moaning the whole time, so when he was crowned i really felt no loyalty or love for that. at this point i would much rather see someone like rhanerya on the throne simply because aegon has given me zero reason to support him beyond his blood. in fact the whole coronation when aemond eyes him being crowned i'm thinking how much more i could support this team had it a more worthy successor like aemond who has at least shown great development, ambition, and strength. we'll see what s2 brings, it will be interesting how my opinions change i'm sure lol would've also liked to see you react to the criston/alicent scene! small but very interesting
You're right I think the show is trying to get us to be on the princesse's side. The reason why I did not address Aegon children within the fighting pit was because who knows if those kids are really hits it could be anyone's with blonde hair.

I'm sure you might have many hate comments here but I want you to know that there's people who are like-minded and agree with your point of view, so please keep it going, it's so refreshing to see someone who doesn't fall for the show's bias towards Rhaenyra's side, the plot has been heavily manipulated and I'm always happy to watch your uploads, this one literally made my night! If they portray the events of the book correctly in season 2 (or most of it) I believe the fandom will be balanced and well-divided, especially after the things that will go down (and they're all terrible, so brace yourself). I'd like to point out that in the book, Aegon's coronation was BEAUTIFUL, he was crowned in front of the smallfolk in the dragonpit just like in the show, but Rhaenys' scene with Meleys never happened (I'm still unsure as to why they added this) and after a beautiful ceremony, he hopped on the back of his dragon Sunfyre and flew across King's Landing to the Red Keep where he sat on his throne (yes, he has a dragon, but he didn't showed up yet, his dragon is literally golden, he sparks in the sun and he was described to be the most beautiful dragon to ever exist, he showed up on the trailers of the next season but because of the color grading of the last trailer, he doesn't seem golden, but Aegon is riding it and he looks fantastic!). Second, the fact that Rhaenys killed hundreds of people for no reason seems to be something people often ignore but I'm so happy you pointed out! I also love how you understand Otto. In the book, Alicent knew what had to be done to secure Aegon's claim and she said that Rhaenyra would kill her children; especially the boys, she has 3 sons and they're all threats to Rhaenyra's claim because even if she ascended the throne without challenge, the realm was divided on both sides and many lords who sided with Rhaenyra would conspire to kill them, so at the end of the day they did it for the sake of their own survival, as did the blacks. I hate how they wrote her in the show because she was so much different and so much cooler in the book, she knew how to play the game and she was good at it. They also didn't show this in the show, because it's obviously black biased, but the greens had a lot of support, both sides were equally divided and Rhaenyra had more dragons and the fleet, but the greens had the greatest houses of Westeros on their side, King's Landing, the throne, powerful allies, the iron bank, the crown's fortune and much more - i wished they showed this but oh well... Also, I’ve seen some reviews of the first 4 episodes and apparently they’re going for a version of Aegon who’s more similar to the book and he’s amazing in the new season so we’re in for a treat this time! There’s also a video that came out today of the show’s writer/producer explaining his claim to the throne and he basically spoke about the westerosi laws of succession and how Aegon’s claim is backend by all the laws and precedences of this universe and time period, even the council we saw of the previous king before Viserys was crowned where he reinstated this law, where’s Rhaenyra’s claim is simply “my dad said so and never reinforced my claim after Aegon was born”. Throughout the duration of the show, she made many mistakes and I believe not returning to Kings Landing before her dad died sooner was one of the biggest mistake she made

This is the episode where I instantly became Team Green and was against Rhaenyra. 3 obvious bastard kids creates nothing but problems for her entire reign. "She knows he's talking to Rhaenyra" - yes, that's what the acting tells us. The way she suddenly leaves calling him "my king" cannot be explained otherwise. But this episode and the next were written by different people and it seems they did not coordinate. Ep. 9 is an illogical mess. This one is probably the best in the series so far.
"She needs to go back to her dad and assume her role" - Yes. That's what she should have done all along, learning to rule, making allies, becoming the acting ruler while the king still lives. That's how one prepares a succession, not by having kids with the commander of the City Watch and openly lying to everyone about them. Rhaenyra is a bad choice because she is untrustworthy. No one wants to follow someone who claims water isn't wet.
Daemon was laughing at the funeral when the brother of Corlys Velaryon was saying "Velaryon blood runs thick… runs true… must never thin". The whole Velaryon succession is a joke.

In the book, Aegon is not what they portray him to be. They did this so the audience had no other choice but to support Rhaenyra. Read the source material.
