Well done! And I got a quick question. I have attended fleet weekend. And I am aiming to try the Naval Experience Program! I’m just wondering. After the one year. Could I go to a Naval Reserve Division?
Seeing how things are headed... its about time we look into underwater nods... to recharge batteries and replenish oxygen... its all about underwater endurance now... why blow cover by surfacing... seeing we where re charging the autonomous sub thru the ice up north to map the sea floor... helicopters at sea should be able to refuel of a fuel bladder in the ocean... same with the f35 vtol variant.... things are being pushed rapidly now
Thank goodness, I’m at the beginning phrase of Navy reserves career. Heard stories how fisheries and coast guard is struggling too. If my dad puts up with fisheries, I’ll do the same with Navy.
"We're a ship-building nation" but we aren't going to be building our own ships for our navy... Why is everything in this country all talk and propaganda and no substance, our politicians disgust me.
This is honestly fun and scary at the same time. It was an awesome experience, great skill to learn that I hope I will never use, but anything can happen out in there! I'm very happy that I joined the Royal Canadian Navy!
Probably but if you ever have worked in a bakery full of pillheads and the owner's kids that were sent off to private school, out of province, than you understand the desperate need for cannon fodder speed bumps to slow down the effective arm of the human race...
Canada is fucking DOOMED if someone like Vere and Jess are an example of the future of our maritime defence, thank God we’re bordered to the US (the actual good Navy)
G'Day! I have a quick question. I am aiming to join the forces. But I haven't exactly sorted out what enviroment I want to go into yet. I am 17 and turning 18 this September. Any advice for basic training?
@YourAverageCanadian29 that's a question best answered with some introspection my guy. The military can afford you many opportunities in many different environments, but it ultimately depends on what you are most comfortable, or interested, in. Do you enjoy being outdoors, and the idea of camping in the rain or snow doesn't bother you? Maybe one of the combat arms trades is for you. Do you like working with tech and radios? Signaler. Do you like staying dry and counting thousands of bullets? Ammo Tech. Like vehicles and engines? Vehicle tech! Do you like the Ocean? Navy. Although, I can't speak much for them as my time was spent in the Infantry. I have heard great things about serving in the Air Force from friends but again have no experience to offer. I can say, however, that all the jokes about "chair force" become more of an envy based joke after 3 weeks in the field 😅 Best of luck in your endeavors. Feel free to reach out if you have more specific questions. I'm happy to answer what I can.
I served for 10+ years, don't fall for this propaganda. This organization is horrible, constant abuse and harassment. Open any news in the last 10 years about CAF
Lmao i could do this shit easy af but your recruiters screwed yall out of someone that has been taught by a csor operator guess who taught me everything yall taught him physically im in better shape then most of the regular forces but yall couldnt be honest about simple things. If you cant be honest about the little things how would yall be about the big shit
Does it make sense to have different physical standards for men and women? If the only person around who can haul your unconscious body out of a flooding compartment is a woman wouldn't you want to know they are capable of doing it?
Yup, show a strong, independent woman. That'll get people excited... Look at the recent USA military recruitment ad and then look at the Russian military recruitment ad... The West is dead...
