Thanks for the video. I'm thinking of installing an Asco Sirai pressurestat im Oscar 2. So, basically you cut the original wires, put new cable lugs with a grimping tool and then plug the lugs in the Sirai pressurestat?
Hi great video! I have Wega coffee machine with 2 groups model EVD but I think I have a problem with the pressure as the left side pours out more water and the right side pours out less water and more steam. The pressure thermometer stays at 3-4 when it is not in use and goes up to to maximum 6 when in use it does not touch the green zone at all. Do you know where the problem could be and how to fix it please?
if the pressure stat goes bad, and only two of the connection points are used already. Can the other points be used or does the whole thing have to be replaced?
Can use the other one no problem, pull the burnt one out w pliers so it doesn't affect the good terminal by not closing completely. Don't forget to subscribe
Thanks for the video. But now the machine does not heat up. Only the left light is turn on. It was working early. After two days I did try turning on and I can hear the pump working and I quickly turn off coz I thought there's no water. Anyway I add some water and turn on and it's not boiling and the left light is turn on only. Appreciate if you could assist me. Thank you again.
Starting up a coffeeshop and considering this machine. How has its longevity held up? Any things to keep an eye out for that may cause issues or difficulties in terms of workflow?
Maybe you can help. I have a R Cinquantotto. When I turn on it makes a loud click and then silence ..I don't have computer box because it's second hand. I've replaced motherboard. The inlet solenoids, and all the wires. Checked the high limit switches and tested them. Any ideas ? Greatly appreciated
Bro fell down from heaven and gave us step by step instructions on how to save $15k. Thank you. I have a 3 group very similar just a bit older. Nova Evd2 model. I have nothing coming out of any of the 3 groups. Is there still a service kit available for these (gaskets/seals/rings..)? I'm in Canada.
thanks for reply how much is your coffee and do you have amount i could buy to try out i live in townsville queensland just setting up shop and have a wega polaris 2 group i sorted power but have problem wont pragam left side grouyp any ideas what to fix cheers lee
@leighyarnall7346 check the switch on the right have side is on while programming and off while using. U will find the switch under the right steam knob
Remember not all the time the pressure safety valve has to be replaced after it discharges, sometimes it is its normal operation especially when the pressure it's beyond 2 bars. Sometimes try just to adjust the pressure switch or replace it
need expert advice on how to clean a hx boiler. There is a layer of SUPER hard black resedue I can't get rid off. I have Used decalz, and cafiza. No effect really. And now I am going to a surface specialist in blasting with glas.
@@coastcafeequipment I never used citric. I just used the normal coffee decalz. Maybe my solution was not strong enough. Anyway I am hoping the blasting will remove it, and make the copper surface stronger
The pressurestat pipe might be partially clogged, the initial issue would be overheating, which made the element to work too hard, till the customer found out that is not heating.
What did you do @5:50 ? You were about to explain how to check that the water level sensor is working, but the phone rang and you forgot to mention what you looked for. Thank you very much for making this video.
I just opened my Oscar 2, pulled a couple of terrible shots, then kept the machine on for 30 minutes and it started purging all of its water through the bottom of the machine. No leaks in the tubes that I can see, but would the OPV rectify this issue? Thanks so much for your effort
Only because of your video did I think to check if my pstat line was full of water when it wasn't turning off heating element and machine would shut off so to temp safety switch. $0 fix. Guess I have to purge it every few years. Thanks!
Great videos. I have wanted to have a go at repairing an old machine, and this the kind of help that is perfect. Once I find a donor machine for a bargain that is. Thanks
really easy to follow , info and method really helped me with a totally different problem , will look thru your other vids too , my current prob is old Astoria Argenta single not heating ...
Hi You say the Rocket is a bit overrated, what do you recommend, I have the Breville 920 and have had it for over 5 years and have been very happy with it. But when it dies I was just thinking what I might look at buying. Kind Regards John
please help me i have a rocket apartamento that start overheating so i bought a new pressure stat... i am having trouble installing the new one as the old one does not want to twist off.... its seized or something. i tried putting wd-40 on it and it stil wont come off. what can i do to get this thing off? have you ever experienced this problem? thank you!
@@coastcafeequipment all the pressure stat is doing is twisting but the screw underneath is it not coming out. I don’t know how to describe it … I tried everything
oh by the way i got the cables off but now i cant twist off the pressure stat it seems like its seized or something? ive applied so much force that i actually broke the old pressure stat. how do i remove it is it supposed to easily twist off? i've tried evreything...@@coastcafeequipment
Most of the other videos seem to just install the OPV up the top so you simply just pull off side cover no need to turn upside down or run return hose into tank as they place a t junction down the bottom for the water return eg ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4weYDjhQi98.htmlsi=6aZUZ48pU53_uEk0 Is there any advantage to having the OPV closer to the pump like youve done?
@@ddavidi81 hey appreciate the reply! I changed the heating element, pressurstat, boiler thermostat, and solid state relay a few weeks ago. Still not working. My next things to try are the control box and/or the 2 way solenoid. This thing has me pulling my hair out!
@@gdubwilksI am sorry that you had to change so many things. A multimeter would have helped a lot here. You start by checking one by one, from the bottom. The heating element, pressurestat should show a closed circuit, or a certain resistance if you are using an ohmmeter. Solid state can be switched on with some volts. If no 110/230V (do not know if you are in USA or EU) is comming at the heating element, the problem can be isolated to the control box (you said you changed the solid state relay, so I assume it is working). In the control box, usually there´s a relay which control the solid-state relay. When you first switch ON the coffee machine, you should hear a click. If you hear the click and still measure no voltage at the heating element, your problem is a ca. 5€ problem. Change the relay with the same type, and you are done.
I want to change the OVP valve on my 1,5 year old Oscar 2, but am a little concerned about residual water in the machine circuit when I turn the Oscar 2 over for adding the valve. Is there anything specific I need to do before playing around with the pump other than removing the water tank and letting the boiler cool down?
@@coastcafeequipment the elbow piece isn't moving at all. I tried pliers on the elbow piece and a wrench on the gold piece, but it won't move and I'm afraid of breaking something. Do you have any advice?
