Great piece indeed!!! I met Ondřej in 1996. It happened at a Meeting (Arcana Composers' Meeting) organized in Italy (Brescia, in the North), by composers Antonio Giacometti, Mauro Montalbetti and myself, and the selection was through sending scores. His scores were already very interesting and full of talent (he was only 17 years old), and I must say that in selecting him we had seen right.
One of the most powerful of his pieces. The arrival at bar 123 is incredible. Xenakis was at his best mid 70s to late 80s, and this is amongst these great works.
Still can't make up my mind as to whether I prefer the French or Romanian spectral schools, but either way, I simply love the beautifully ethereal mysticism of Radulescu's work!!
