The knack is just watching the other aircraft, and pay no heed to your HUD or speed. The best feeling is getting within like 10 feet of the other aircraft, and just letting it drift over your canopy. Then you get that underside view, doesn't even matter the aircraft, it just looks so damn real. I'd love the force feedback F-16 stick, for DCS. Bit out of my financial comfort zone though. I like TrackIR too, my VR headset has a layer of dust on it since I got the TIR. So much less hassle, and smoother graphics available than VR (maybe not with the 4090 though). Nice Vid.
As the f16 stick is fly by wire, I don't really think ffb is going to help much. Anyway, I agree 100%, I stopped minding my hud for these trainings. Thanks man!
@@Duckfisher0222 It's actually a 'force sensing' stick. Meaning it deals in pressure, not movement. So there is no dead area on stick movement. Winwing make it I think, cost a damn fortune, but those that have it, swear by it.
yeah, it takes some time. I like to set up a liiitttle bit of deadzone in the center so it kinda snaps into place and wont constantly move if you're zoomed in on the HUD. also, bind FOV zoom, helps a ton. last but not least, I reduced acceleration in the center and increased it at the very edge (past 90° ingame). usually, when you need to look back, you dont need to track something precisely, you just need to see whats behind you and quickly. so once I look past a certain threshold, it will basically just snap back. very helpful in dogfights
@@Duckfisher0222 haha, I did the same. I basically deactivated up/down and left/right laterals, but kept a littleeee bit of roll and lean/laterals. It really depends on your setup, your chair, how you tend to sit, monitor size, performance etc pp. I tend to move around and sit differently a lot, so I reduced as many "slouch" factors as I could :D Also, reduce smoothing as much as you can, but don't get rid of it entirely. Smoothing (and precise mode) makes the difference between reactive but choppy or laggy and precise. It's a delicate balance
Also, Never understood how people got enough time to comment on a video they don't like... Congratz. You've just wasted time. Now, who's fault is that? Just watch something else, something you like...
yeah i cant live without Track IR, would be almost impossible to fly without it, nice video, i like the "weird" beat fits perfectly!! Subscribed to help the channel
You are getting there, you need more discipline tho...lol while flying in formation with the awacs you need to be closer and maintain altitude and distance, while practicing for future AAR, nice video brother. nice soundtrack, i deleted my YT account with 7.5k subscribers and around 400 videos of FSX, MSFS and DCS, i never should have done that i regret it so deeply, was an impulse because i was wasting too much time editing videos and i really needed to focus more on my music studio, but now...rrr was pretty dumb deleting all of that content that i had. we need to fly together one of these days, refuel train guns against each other, will be fun Sir..lol cheers man
KAKO VAM SE NEOGADIŠE NATO STRANJA PA IH TOLIKO JEDETE VIDI SE KOLIKA JA SPREMNOST ZAPADA HUTI NAPRAVIŠE OD AMERA I NATO **BALJEGE** A VI IH TOLIKO ČEŠATE ZA JAJCA
Why do we exist? There is no point... But in the end, can we at least make the time we have pleasant? In some way? Or not. And not relapse to hate speech... All the freekin time?
We used the Alive mod back in ArmA 2 when i was still a member in 3Para. It was not only used during missions and training, but also on our Domination and Insurgency servers which was a great addition. Nice video, Thumbs up.
Just subbed :) i love the scorpion design ! you've put a lot of thought into the build, must cost you a fortune in T shrits though Lol, treat yourself to a leather welders apron....save you a fortune in the long run :) keep up the good work my friend..looking forward to seeing more of your work :)
