I have NEVER watched Kevin come down on the floor when that break happens. I never will. At halftime Coach P. said,”If we don’t win this, and get Kevin home to Atlanta all this has been for nothing.” The way these wonderful guys played that second half I KNEW! I KNEW they were going to the Final Four. And I KNEW they were going to win the National Championship. Gosh!! I love this team! (I loved them in 2012 when nobody thought we’d be in the Final Four. The coaches didn’t expect it. After that year, with most all of the players back we felt that 2013 was going to be our year! And it was!) 🖤🏀❤️🎉🎉🎉🎉🥰
I just visited today!!! Not sure why people don’t give the street name to the cannon beach access. It’s a public access to the beach, this walking road is between homes and its on S Hemlock St. Hemlock St is a main road that takes you to Haystack Rock.
As a diehard UK fan , I remember when you had your first season at UK when they got off probation. I was heartbroken when the shot heard round the world hit nothing but net at The Spectrum in 92. Sat court side in Minneapolis in 96 watching your Uk team obliterate Utah/Keith Van Horn and then Wake Forest/Tim Duncan, which led us to the final four and a national championship. Heartbroken when you left to the NBA. Loved the rivalry when you coached U of L. This was a great team here. It was classical Rick Pitino basketball. Now I’m looking forward to see what you can do at St. Johns. I would be willing to bet that in two years St. Johns will be making the headline and cutting down some nets. Always a fan, keep it up Coach P.
57:14 At this point in the game, it is a 42-42 tie. From here, the Cardinals went on an insane run where they scored on 9 of the next 10 possessions, went 9/11 from the field, and scored 20 points. In this same stretch, Duke went 0/10 from the field and scored 4 points, all from the foul line. This, gourds and gals, is the BOOM Coach K. was talking about.
I was there and remember thinking...OH, NOOOO! Sosa had been in kind of a shooting slump, and then he took it from waaaay outside the line. I went from utter hopelessness to over the top ecstasy in the blink of an eye.
The 2008-2009 Louisville Cardinals team was one of my favorite teams that didn't win a national championship. I also loved the 2004-2005, 2007-2008, and 2011-2012 teams. All 4 were fun to watch and had alot of talent.
Kentucky seemed to be the more fired up one here... perhaps they should've saved some of that energy for the game. Kyle Bolin (Lexington native btw) absolutely torched them for about 400 yards.
And UK has handed the Cards their ass since then. It's sad to see how low UL sports has gotten. Football is an absolute joke these days and Basketball isn't much better.
They should kick everyone of those thuggish instigators off the field. If it's the whole team...so be it. There needs to be order. If you can't go out on the field and compete like gentlemen, fight hard to win and then shake hands after...then society don't need you. Kentucky made the conference look bad that day. There has to be order.
Bunch of roided up animals with no brains or emotional intelligence. CTE has been well documented for what, almost two decades? Ironic that higher education revolves around this sport. 💰💰💰
