This was just an ad the company commissioned and I decided to upload to my channel. But it has been in my case and I’ve used it at my church gig a number of times. I play guitar and run the live sound and livestream mix so I’m walking around the space with the wireless kit. The company shipped it to me back in July and I haven’t had it cut out in normal use with typical proximity to the receiver. Even walking around the room it does fine but occasionally when I step back behind the sound console which is behind a half wall it will cut in and out. I think line of sight is important for these cheaper kits that operate on a 2.4ghz connection.
This is a great pre amp. Im using this preamp like di box because I have the stompmix 4 channel mixer and Lrbaggs Align session compressor like my first pedal. Nice video
I like that freshman with the microphone that one was awesome sounding I find the people acoustic pick ups all wrong. Most people want to get the most natural sound of an acoustic that they can and that’s cool but that’s kind of the wrong approach just like electric guitar pickups, they all have characters and sounds And I could be cool because you can take like an old trashy blues guitar with a pick up from like the 20s so you get like a DR or some cheap pick up and put it in there and you’ll get that sound and then you could take that out Maybe put that fisherman in for a more natural beautiful sound so I think they’re all worth something even so under the bridge has a sound to it you should be thinking about what they sound like and how that could be used but all of the under saddle ones sound as good as the rest of them, but they had a sound and they could be used in certain situationsand they could be the right sound in a spec situation especially if you’re going to have one in a mix of electric instruments
Can the expression pedal/wah be switched the same as a traditional pedal, or can it only be switched from volume to wah via the expression button or one of the foot switches
Thx for your Demo, it is really good . I wonder how they can fit my old ovation guitar model 117 ( One that Glen Campbell used before) ? The sound of K& k can be more sharp ? Thx
I bought the bass in 2024, for the same price, and having to do similar set up functions, which is a good exercise for a guitar player, in understanding how the guitar works. When I handed the Glarry bass to a bass player/owner of a Fender P bass, he made a tone combination on the Glarry that sounded like his Fender P bass.
Hello there, my amp (ACUS FERDI 8) does not have a headphone output. Can I try to circumnavigate it by connecting “something: to my DirectOut on my amp? Thank you.
I have some older instruments (a Martin D28 and K Yairi classical). I don't want to damage the timber with a conventional Fishman pickup. I have Fishponds on another Martin and another nylon (Kado).. Anyway, I've bought a clip on after listening to this video. Will report back. Thanks for doing the vid. Very helpful and nice playing.
hey there, like the channel- I have a D18 with a K&K pure mini. I plug it into an ACUS amp but I think I need a pre-amp… it sounds a bit muddy. What (simple) pre-amp you think I need for my gear? Thank you.
Great comparison! I played gigs in smaller 50+ seat venues to larger outdoor spaces for seven years with a K&K through a tuning pedal then straight into the board. Never any issues and the most authentic sound of all the available options at the time - either solo or with a band.
well, surprisingly i'm not hearing a difference, BUT i am going through this myself with my accoustics, as i find even 11,s rather sore & limiting playability, but i hear huge difference doing this in my home rather than listening online & heavier strings do SOUND far better, But unless you have a High priced guitar, such as a Taylor a friend had, which played effortless like butter, even though it had 12's on it, Most lesser guitars with even 11's feel very tight, this is why expensive guitars are expensive, they are mainly hand made taking months, resulting in the effortless playability I have ordered 12's for one of my 2 sigma jumbo's though, simply because it has a more compact sound/volume for a jumbo, & the heavier strings WILL make it louder , doubt i'll be doin much fingerpickin though:) doubt i'd pay 3 grand for an acoustic though, regardless of how good it is
Hey man! A bit late but how did you wire the jb jr with the blend circuit? I bought a prewired lollar blend kit, and have two lollar single coils in the neck and middle and a jb jr in the bridge. For some reason my jb jr is crazy quiet. My jb jr is practically touching the strings and my neck and middle pickups are nearly flush with the pickguard, yet the bridge pickup is still noticeably quieter. Did you still tape off the red and white wires? The lollar wiring diagram intends for a standard single coil, and shows the white wire to the switch and black wire to the volume pot. I knos its years later but im desperate 😢 im wondering if the luthiee accidentally wired it as a single coil
Like choosing color on the same model car to me... You want to change your sound that minimal? I will never understand it... That being said Bronze all day,😊
I stopped using under saddle pickups 15 yrs ago, after five yrs of trying to e.q. the quack, scoop the mids, compress the harsh shrillness, and bury whats left of that horrible soundi in effects. I now use a KnK mini into an original Yamaha AG Stomp. It has mic and preamp simulation. Im not saying A.R. sucks, but under saddle piezoelectric pickups suck. Its not a secret. The market was flooded with those. They are cheap.
Hey there thanks for the awesome video🙏. I wanted to find out if this pedal sends midi information when connected to a computer. I wanted to get it and double it up to control effects on my computer
