My son is started having symptoms over time... I only just found out what PANDAS is... I do not have a diagnosis for my son yet but your video made me have goosebumps... tomorrow I will have to convince my son’s doctor to be on board to rule in/out PANDAS...it is not well known in UK and getting treatment privately is extremely expensive. But watching you encouraged me that things will be ok

PANDAS is an anagram for Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Strep infection. On the RU-vid site ABC news dated July 21, 2018 two children are featured that have this.

I have PANDAS right now, I make involuntary movements... my parents had no idea what it was. Now we do! I am super confused though... most people with PANDAS get OCD and anxiety. I don’t really get that, I get tics. Bad tics. I just found out yesterday. 😅

@NelliJ

Me and my mom have always been super close plus she's a psychologist so she knows me a little to well. Anyways what's worked for me is writing down what I want to say. I useally go over it a few times in my head. Then I'll ask if I can speak with her privately. I figured out what works for me through trial and error so it's just depends on you and what you feel comfortable with. :) I hope this helps!

I have OCD and one thing I noticed is that one of my eyes gets covered alot with my hair just like how your hair is. I feel like the anxiety and ocd have contributed to that. Feels like my hair is a shield I guess. Hides me from others when I get shy. And because of this I have noticed that the one that usually covered by hair looks wider than the one that gets more sun. Please let me know if you relate :)

Hi Lena and family! Thank you for making this video. This fall I’m starting to teach at a public school classroom for kids your age who are dealing with mostly anxiety and OCD but also other mental health challenges, and I’ve been trying to hear stories of kids who are going through the same things. I loved hearing your story and would love to keep following along with how you’re doing!

Find a nearest PANDAS/PANS doctor and schedule an appointment with him/her that’s what we did and usually they’ll draw blood to see if you have a history of strep to see if it’s pandas or pans

There is also cases with pans/pandas with a non Strep infection/ like Lyme infection and trigger pandas /pans so I wonder what else is being missed when suffering from “mental illness “
