I have PANS and I have severe ocd and had severe tics I’m on my 10th ivig treatment and missed 3 months of school I’m so happy that other people can talk About this because it makes me feel less alone
My sister (who is 24 now) also got PANDAS around 5th grade! For her it was mostly motor tics (stretching the neck and jaw and eyes compulsively) and frequent urination. Such an odd disease and it can be so hard to detect! I'm glad both of y'all got diagnosed and that you're doing better now
I have pandas and I have ocd, adhd, depression, and anxiety I am glad I’m not alone I got strep in the summer of 2019 and I was diagnosed with pandas I was also in and out of school and dance too I was also in fourth grade I’m glad I’m so someone to relate too

I’m so happy that I find other people with this condition I have PANDAS. My best friend has it too but it is so comforting that other people have it and can understand.
My son is started having symptoms over time... I only just found out what PANDAS is... I do not have a diagnosis for my son yet but your video made me have goosebumps... tomorrow I will have to convince my son’s doctor to be on board to rule in/out PANDAS...it is not well known in UK and getting treatment privately is extremely expensive. But watching you encouraged me that things will be ok
I experienced the same thing. And doctors told me they didn’t know what happened, but I really think this happened to me and it was the scariest moment in my life.
Hey Lena, wow, wow, wow! this is really inspiring, this special story of yours you tell. I hope you find your own unique way to expose your torch and strength within you. Shalom from Israel!🇮🇱
I have PANS too. I have POTS and MCAS on top of it which is annoying. I’m currently getting treatment for all of those things. Thanks for making this video.
@@iosmodtester7403 With which one? For POTS and MCAS my cousin has it too so I knew when I was having all the symptoms it was that so they just did bloodwork and the tilt table test and then for PANS they did a lot of bloodwork and I got to see a specialist for P.A.N.S. and they diagnosed me with it.
I have OCD and one thing I noticed is that one of my eyes gets covered alot with my hair just like how your hair is. I feel like the anxiety and ocd have contributed to that. Feels like my hair is a shield I guess. Hides me from others when I get shy. And because of this I have noticed that the one that usually covered by hair looks wider than the one that gets more sun. Please let me know if you relate :)
Same, I still do this in adulthood. I've always been a little timid and felt like it was a barrier. Taking aerial dance classes really helped me come out of my shell.
I have PANDAS right now, I make involuntary movements... my parents had no idea what it was. Now we do! I am super confused though... most people with PANDAS get OCD and anxiety. I don’t really get that, I get tics. Bad tics. I just found out yesterday. 😅
I had PANS and I was young I randomly started thinking I was choking and I thought my food and pillow and basically all stuff had leaked battery and I thought I was going to die I was in kinder to first during the time my mom took me to the doctor the said nothing was found or wrong then my mom did a lot of searching and they found pans and ya there is a lot more to say but now I have a little bit of anxiety and sometimes I like clench my fists or pull my hair but ya
Dowa anyone know if one course of anyibiotics can clear all the aymptoms or just some symptims? Andnif utbinky cleares simenif thebaymptoms can anithwrncourse of abtibiotics help?
Find a nearest PANDAS/PANS doctor and schedule an appointment with him/her that’s what we did and usually they’ll draw blood to see if you have a history of strep to see if it’s pandas or pans
There is also cases with pans/pandas with a non Strep infection/ like Lyme infection and trigger pandas /pans so I wonder what else is being missed when suffering from “mental illness “
