They say seven years ago it was Fifty years ago someone last time I remember coming home from kindergarten and watching it with Mom and my grandmother it was half hour show I was six at that time and I will be 67 three months do the math Day's will be a part of my life till the I pass and go home to the Lord and my love ones
By the way it,s now hard to believe Days Of Our Lives is now in year 59!! 60 years next year 2025!! 57 years on regular NBC TV & 2 YEARS ON PEACOCK SINCE SEP.2022!! I honestly think for Days Of Our Lives 60th anniversary show they should simulcast that on peacock & regular NBC TV!! I doubt that will happen!!
If anybody has noticed--at the same time while Days Of Our Lives celebrated it,s 55th anniversary on November 8th 2020!! It,s also the same day long time host Alex Trebek of Jeopardy! died from pancreatic cancer at age 80!! Alex Trebek hosted Jeopardy! for 36 years & 8,243 episodes until his death!!
I started watching Days of Our Lives in 1982 , started with the Salem Straggler, I thought I was going to see the killer, but they never showed him that day, so I checked it out the next day, still didn’t see him ,I think that thing lasted the whole summer, I was 16 at the time, but after that I was hooked ,I had to tune at 1:00 every day , I would leave my friends to go watch it. good times back then

At 16:12 , I remember that was the old Kayla with Chris,and I think in 87 or 88 Mary Beth came into the picture and stole the show as the new Kayla , it was around the time Drake was the new Roman at the time

Jackie Cooper like "Jackie" Coogan also was a successful Child Star. He was on The Little Rascals as well as the "Original" Version of The Champ with Wallace Berry. He was one of the few who escaped the challenges of being a Child Star when he grew up. So many ended up broke, dead, and addicts.
In the UK in the 1980`s Joanne Warne originated The Role of Peggy Mitchell on Eastenders but was replaced by Barbara Windsor. She really made the Role her own whose Catchphrase was "Get Out Of My Pub". She later died of disease due to Alzheimer's and was made a Dame by Queen Elizabeth.
I started watching this with my mom back in 66-67. She watched it till she died in 2016 and I have continued to watch it till this day. I’ve grown up with this show it’s amazing.

I am so very upset because Days of Our Lives doesn't stream on NBC anymore. I watched this show since I was born with my mother, since 1955 and now I can't watch it because I can't afford to pay for it.
