I've been tobacco free for almost 8 months now and I gotta say, the Commodore Red's description has got me wanting to reach for some cheap, overly sweet, high alcohol wine and some nicotine pouches.
One thing that is not exactly the secret, but a peculiar detail that I really want to share: Have you ever noticed the manner of speaking that Joyce uses? It is so... unique and interesting, like "I am the most vile creature of all, an ultra", ect Might be bacause she travels through the Pale a lot and is the only character we meet in game who has recieved the special training for it She says it herself - that those who are trained to traverse through the Pale between Isolas are trained to treat it like the poetry to keep themselves sane, unlike the Pale Driver, which can explain the way Joyce speak The next part is less of a detail even and more of a speculation, but her journeys through pale can also explain why she knows so much about the world and especially about how the Insulindia was discovered - she might have literally experienced the memories of those who had done it, whilst in the Pale
There's a thing I'd like to also mention: As not meny people have persued the "ultra-liberal" quest that you can get in the begging of the third day (just like with the rest of ideologies in the fame), which is pointed by the percentage of players who got the corresponding achievement, there are a few things related to it, that might surprise you 1) you will get Horseback monument reconceptualized after the mercenary tribunal to whatever cop-architype you got - the sorry-cop version is the most vibrant in my opinion, with slight green coloring, white flowers everywhere and a cloth on the face 2) you will actually gain "net worth" in this case, you will get the shares from Super-rich Light-bending Guy, the counter with your net-worth will be shown for the rest of your playthrough, although, you cannot really do anything useful with it 3) My favorite part, which is not exactly the part of the quest and this might be missed even by those, who has completed it: as a nouveau-riche you can actually buy the lamp-post (THE lamp-post, I'm sure you know what I am talking about) with part of your shares (although, the amount of your net-worth will not be deducted during the events of the ga.e) The note on the lamp post will even say that it now belongs to a disco-cop who has bought it for the part of the shares in some company!
I've been on this site for about 14 years now, and very few channels managed to get me like yours. Not only you manage to pump out actual heartfelt content like this, it's really good and resonates. I know you have a vast soul bröther, because so is mine.
Thank you, your words mean a huge amount to me! They always feel that little bit more special when they’re as thoughtful as these, really appreciate it 🫶
btw if you guys want to listen to something with very similar vibes (to the whole soundtrack too) also check out swans - helpless child (especially the first half) the black heart procession - we always knew iosonouncane - vedrai, vedrai (a cover from a luigi tenco song) triathalon - take it easy burial, four tet, thom yorke - her revolution lisa germano - cry wolf vic chesnutt - chain porcupine tree - heartattack in a lay by i've always wanted to create a mix that simulates the theoretical radio transmission broadcasted in revachol when harry decides to blast sad fm. my goal was to incorporate the sea power song while maintaining a cohesive, seamless, and climactic feel with a lot of other very similar songs. ive struggled to find the right pacing and sequence though, so i never finished it
i wander what kurvitz, rostov and the rest of the original team are gonna come up with next. disco came out 5 years ago and has captivated so many people, it's still actively thought about, played, discussed and so on. love lives on. i wander what they will make in 11 or so years, just as love takes a back side. a streak of love
Harry DuBois is a fundamentally broken man who might, _might_ get his shit a little more together over the course of Disco Elysium’s runtime. He should not be dating anyone. Especially not a teenager.
Re-watching this has made me realise something. Kim hopped into Trant's vehicle. His Kineema is very functional. It's also still in front of the Whirling. Do they drive to the Whirling then drop Kim off and then he drives alone?? Do they go to the 57th?? 41st???
Electrochemistry is so manic and horny that when I made a playthrough focused on it the useful aspects of it were more of an uncommon situation rather than a consistent thing
