Good video, and thoughts about your edc. As a 22 year LEO vet (uniform, detective, & negotiator) I carried much the same, except the Glocks were .40 cal. You did not mention "on call" status, which will dictate more duty like gear. One suggestion: For any non-uniform, including off-duty, always have your badge and cuffs. Also get a badge/ID wallet. Lastly have your radio handy, in your vehicle. I think you made a good decision to skip the alcohol. Keep up your good work, thanks for your dedication to service, and be careful.
So you guys carry guns and police gear off duty ? If I am off duty... I am off duty. I have my cell phone, my keys and my wallet. Dont need the stress in my free time. Oh by the way. You should not carry a wallet in your backpocket. It messes with your hip etc. In the long run ( or short term for some) it can fuck up your lower body. Stopped doing it a few years back and I feel the differences now, besides having no real problems prior to the change.
Excellent choices all. There are several manufacturers that make pocket mag holders that don’t get in the way and look like a pocket knife clip. I’ve got to carry a spare mag. Stay safe my friend.
I like the G26 for all around use, you can use different sizes mags depending on the season/dress needs, etc. I usually have a pinky extension with 1 or 2 extra rounds but flush fit sometimes if it's really hot 🥵
Our Dept. Here in Wisconsin we use Safariland sam Brown duty belts in 94 or buckle and matching pouches in Plane Black or basket weave. Our SWAT TEAM we use Safe Life defense belts with taco pouches! Nice duty belt setup.
You should look into emerson knives. The wave feature along with general construction in ergos and grip makes me feel they're perfect for an officer. They're also only chisel sharpened so you just have to worry about sharpening one side, great for field maintenance. Also perhaps a streamlight wedge as it's way more comfortable that a cylindrical light, unless you want it for self defense. Also no gshock? 😢
Look into "N-ear" earpiece. Little spendy but worth it in the long run. Don't have to replace every so many months and absolutely 0 ear fatigue. Also see you got soem patches, I'll have to send you one to add to your collection.
yeah, I got safe life defenses vest in the same configuration you got it. the panels I got were 3a+. side coverage is ass even with the extra $80 side panels and the carrier DOES NOT accommodate up-armoring with hard plates. Also got their magazine and baton holsters and hate them both.
Ik you don’t get this alot but thank you for your service if it wasn’t for you police’s the world would not be like this ik its really not that like good the world but if it wasn’t for police it would be way worse
Having cuffs on you all the time you carry is important-a defense attorney will own you if God forbid you have to shoot someone-he’s going to say you never had any intention of arresting the suspect-you wanted to kill him.Our State police agency requires it.
Great video bro, stay safe out there, I just started to carry a security patch if I am wearing a sweater it gose on my belt, if not I put it in my pocket,
honestly i have to say is that don’t worry. it’s okay if you don’t carry a spare magazine, realistically you only need 1-2 rounds to stop a threat with a 9mm. the only thing is some people are wimps and scared so they carry like 5 magazines with them however 15 rounds is definitely enough. stay safe!
You seriously have no idea what you’re talking about “1 to 2” rounds to stop a threat? Have you seen any police shooting body cam or ANY of the thousands of videos showing someone being shot 5,6,7 times and still fighting?
@@jmuk3571 yeah, that’s what drugs do to you, i get 1-2 rounds may not “kill” someone but it’ll stop the threat. and you should carry 2 or 3 magazines in your car, now on a person maybe 1 magazine is fine, but you can never have to much magazines!
