Hi, Is a 10 year (permanent) green car holder obliged to notify USCIS about changing the address in USA? Can a green card holder loose the green card in he didn’t know about this rule? Thank you!
Sir , that's not true . Here in USA law enforcement still harassed me even though I'm retired military Navy and Church Levi Holy Priest. I have given your USA law enforcement so much information they keep my information at least 15 minutes before giving it back. And I'm forced to live in rest area where I get raped and assaulted by law enforcement Sheriff and police
I did the 134a while living in peru. The 134a was accepted but i live in argentina today. I just did the cbpone authorization to travel request. If i get authorzation to travel can i depart in plane from argentina? Or do i have to go back to.peru to travel to.usa?
Let me ask you this. Can i maintain my GC if i live in a border town in Canada and drive weekly into the US to purchase gas and groceries and return to Canada? At no point do i exceed 2 weeks, let alone 6 months.
My mother sister file i-130 immigration petition for their siblings including my mom, I am 24 years old and I am planning to apply for b1/b2 visa. So there is a question like " anyone file immigration petition on behalf of u" so what I should need to mentioned there (yes or no)??
Is the 6 months outside the US counted within a calendar year (Jan - Dec) or any 12 month period? Eg if you left in Nov 23 and returned in Mar 24 is that 5 months or 3 months of the 6 for 2024?
@@alinamelnychuk1690 No, same here. Seems like a simple question!! I assume it's based on a calendar year but that could be a costly mistake if an immigration officer sees it differently. Good luck.
It restarts every time you re-enter. However, frequent travels to same destination, even less than 6 months, may still prompt questioning at the border, because they may presume you actually reside in your country but use your green card to travel here temporarily. Therefore, we always recommend creating and carrying a file containing documents evidencing your close ties to the US, such as tax returns, bank and credit card statements, employment verification, property ownership, family ties, etc. It also doesn't hurt to always have a Re-entry Permit as a back-up in case if you decide or need to stay abroad longer than six months during any of your trips.
yes, anyone can apply for DV lottery as long as you are not a native of excluded countries. The question is - will you qualify for Adjustment of Status or Consular Processing if you get selected. This depends on multiple factors which you would need to discuss with a lawyer if you get selected.
Not needed. You’d need it if your trips lasts longer than 6 months. You can apply if you want just in case you get stuck longer, but it is not required. We do recommend though always carrying with you a set of documents showing that you reside in the US, including copy of your latest tax return, lease, property ownership documents, car registration, bank statement, credit cards etc. Basically, anything you can to show that despite your lengthy or frequent trips you still reside in the US. Safe travels!
@@ImmigrationUS Thank you for the quick response! It’s amazing the government does NOT make this clear! All this time I was under the impression when leaving the states, even to Mexico or Canada, travel documents like re-entry permits including passports are needed to come back in. I have an in-law with a green card (20+ years here), that wants to go back to southeast asia to visit family. She was misinformed thinking she needed a passport. I did some research and found out about re-entry permits, but since USCIS/State Dept sites are not clear I searched YT. Thanks again!
@@ImmigrationUS Another question - I do not have a US passport. I will go to Thailand first then Laos. I go through international airports, what will I give them so they can stamp entry if no passport? Can I give them my green card and state driver’s license? How does that work..?
@@Unplugged704 I'm in exactly the same situation. Mom wishes to visit family, but is unable to get a passport without citizenship, and is unable to gain citizenship due to poor English.
Can you help me please to reach to the usa im atheist from syria im suffering from the hateness and threatning becouse i have left islam please help me

I ran across a vlogger who got his wife a 10 year green card. 4 months later they went on vacation to the US for 2 weeks. There she got a California ID with her in-law’s address (her proof of US ties). They expect to “reset” the 1 year requirement 2 weeks before it expires. My ex didn’t have a problem 35 years ago because I had a 1 year contract in Brazil. Will this vlogger get away with this loophole?
Getting a re-entry permit just like anything else when dealing with immigration is pain the butt. My mom applied to het one over a year ago and still waiting.
Hi! I have a question. I am living in the US with Ukrainian Humanitarian Parole, and I don't know if I have to renew it somehow. You said that it will be automatically renewed by the middle of April, is that still the case? Because the video is one year old now and I'm not sure if it's relevant. My I-94 still says that my parole ends in the middle of May. Thank You!
Guess what? I've just received my brand-new resident permit! In just 18 months, I'll be eligible to apply for a US passport - how amazing is that? Oh, and I have a job too! In Montreal, Canada Now, I'm wondering, what's the best way to ensure I can keep my green card?
