Hi, I dance in the UK university circuit, my term starts soon and I will be dancing again. Thanks for your help, you are very good at explaining things!
@@Lanclasscan thank you! Yes sure, about lady’s shape and bodywork there’s a lot to talk about, hopefully we can one day start making video more often 😊
Great video. You explain things that my 5 dance instructors cannot. Oh, you said you didn't know what "a snap of the fingers" is called. It is called a "snap," or more precisely a "fingers snap." One can say, "As fast as a snap of your fingers."
I am an ordinary person in Korea, but I became interested in the waltz and am working hard to learn it as an exercise with other people. Thank you for explaining the questions I was curious about and showing me a demonstration. I will support you to become an ever-evolving volume dance channel. thank you for the good video
Carissima Maestra Paola, grazie mille! E grazie per tutti i bei momenti condivisi insieme, per avermi aiutato a crescere sia nel ballo che come persona, facendomi diventare quello che sono oggi 🥰 un abbraccio! 🤗❤️
@@Parkero918 Hi! Well, if you have to choose one pair only, then you should go for the low heel. The reason is because you can dance latin with a low heel, instead it’s very uncomfortable to dance ballroom with the high one (and it looks terrible 😂)
@@richardkan8499 thank you Richard! Yes, in this lecture there are infos for all levels, beginners to advanced. It’s good because you can come back and watch this video in 6 months or a year and see how you will understand better what Maksim is explaining))
Its a big pleasure to see honorable ballroom masters like Maksim in your videos. Such a valuable and interesting collaboration. Thank you for making it happen
Please kindly clarify for lower level student. "we keep the feet on the same two tracks" .. refers to the 'balls' of the feet and not the 'heels' ? or is it otherwise ? Thank you, for your consistently helpful instruction ! 🙏
Hi! Imagine that you are moving on two rails, but instead of facing the direction of the movement, you turn 45 degrees to the right, and you keep moving on those two rails. In this way, when you step with the right foot, your right foot will be on the same line of the left foot (line of the foot in this case is the direction of the foot, where the foot is pointing).
It might be easier to imagine your two ankles following two separate tracks. There're some figures where you need to step on the ball of foot, and some on heel, but the ankles will still be on separate tracks in each case.
Hi! Love your channel, always so informative. What brands would you recommend to find the solid sole, air mesh or canvas with the rubber cushion in the heel? I cant seem to find one with all of those features in one shoe.
Thank you, Travis! BD Dance has a model in catalogue with all those features. The heel is always cushioned, and they have both, half sole or rigid sole. Other brands, I can think of International, I believe they have a model that suits your needs, as well as Supadance, ADS+, but to be honest, every manufacturer can produce the model you want, custom made. So, just contact them)
international is the only one of those brands that has ever came up on my bing or google searches🤔 also, custom isnt something I've ever been told you could do, so I am very grateful for this information. I have been wearing an airmesh split sole dance sneaker for 3 years because have been solely focused on west coast swing, with alot of outdoor events on concrete. But this will only be my 2nd pair of ballroom shoes, as the 1st got donated to the studio for 1st time 1st day dancers after I went full WCS. But my wife wants me to branch back into V waltz, so new shoes are needed. lol donation coming your way sir! you are amazing
Im a competitive dancer and would say my technique is around your Advanced level demonstration.....therefore, training to perfect it to your pro level starts tomorrow. That was a fantastic explanation, thank you.
Hi! It’s great to see that our videos can be helpful to advanced dancer too! Thanks for your feedback, we wish you good luck on your dancing career!! ✌🏻🤗
Dear Ekaterina, Dear Matteo, Yes, you are right: this is the most difficult to define, nevertheless the explanation is excellent. Especially big thanks for Katya's information. I hope "leaders" of our age have understood what does it mean "...inviting her;...asking her". There is a great work "что вы сделали" 😉🙏❤
IMHO, the explanation about timing in a sequence as continously movement is very helpful! Maybe you can give more tips how to improve the (overall) movement regarding timing and musicality interpretation - e.g., also for quickstep, tango ... 🤔
Matteo and Katrin, this is brilliant, thank you both. Love how you show how the Pro does it. Can you do something similar for the Fallaway Slip Pivot - it's something I'm still struggling with and there have been so many inputs from everywhere. Let's see how you can show us how it's done!
