Those older 2600 and 3200 railcar series are from 30 to 43 years old I'm glad that 7000 series trains are gonna be the best trains on the fleet the CTA is getting better!
I love videos like this; very well put together. I'm going to ATL from DC for the first time later this year and I look forward to riding on the MARTA.
Thanks. Indeed it was a pity that the company operating Line 8 covered the cab window of all trains with frosted curtains. One of my friend who works as a subway operator told me that there were many incidents that under-age railfans banging on windows or taking pictures with flashlight, with one of whom even trespassed into the rear cab back in 2021. Since then, railfan windows on most lines are gone :(
@@kevinhld5499 Aw that sucks. I am returning to Beijing this summer and was looking forward to looking through the driver's cab and filming some videos. Do you know any lines where the window is still unobstructed?
Love watching these time lapses. They bring me a mixture of relaxation and nostalgia. Hearing franks voice with the relaxing/upbeat music in the background along with the landmarks being pointed out makes your time lapse videos stand out from the rest. You are an amazing channel. Love your videos and I love the T
How fast is the dc metro? And what line goes the fastest? This unanswered question has been stuck in my head for some time now can you answer it please😅
I took (still take) the 1 to Lincoln center and looking at the Timelapse, some stations have definitely changed for the better, like 14th Street which now has tactile paving near the platform edge. Also the southbound platform at 79th st is closed as of 2024.
