You are very funny bro! I was looking for a while for a video that reviews the MacMillan and yours is the best. You should make another but we updated quality. Thank you
I just changed mine and it only took about five minutes thank you thank you thank Only cost me ten dollars to do it myself than going to a mechanic you saved my pockets God bless you
Also, using a small amount of silicone grease on the rubber washer for the GH fitting will prolong the life of your washer and allow less effort to make a water tight connection when using your hand to tighten to the outlet.
Also pex tubes that come in different colors have shown premature failures over time because the color dyes that are used for the color pigment compromises the structural integrity. Lawsuits for this problem will be widely known later in the future. Pex products also have a warranty that is roughly half the time of copper pipes, and doesn’t last long if exposed to UV light.
Pex A expansion tool needs to expand and rotate at least 4-5 clicks. You have an automatic expansion tool that don’t head rotation because it does it automatically. When using a manual pex tool, you need to expand 4-5 times AND rotate the head each time to prevent leaks. PEX B needs no expansion, but needs a crimp ring (two main types) and a ring crimping tools. Pex c also exists, but rarely used. PEX A system is better because the fitting is bigger, which allows flow. PEX B system is also widely used, especially in RV plumbing.
Love his daughter's commentary............:) I just tried with the pliers and with some struggle I was able to get a grip with the needlenose and pull it out........thanks for the video.
This really helped! As is turns out, my model, although it is an Amazon Basics 12-sheet shredder, is slightly different than the one in the video. But conceptually it was the same, so disassembly was a little different: the bottom didn't come off, but once I undid the screws on the L-Brackets holding it in place I was able to get the entire bottom off (it snaps in and out of place)). After that there were seven screws but they were easily removed. There was a *TON* of debris in the compartment, including a partially digested piece of card stock kind of wedged over (but in directly interfering with) the sensor. I cleared all of that out and reassembled. Still didn't auto shut-off 🤨. I cleaned the sensor one more time with an alcohol-soaked Q-Tip down through the sheredder slot and that seems to have fixed it. I'm still a bit suspect that the sensor is going bad, but at least now I know how to get at it!! So thanks!! *** UPDATE *** It still wasn't working so I disassembled it again. I reseated and deep-cleaned both sides of the sensor. Seems to have done the trick; it's been working correctly all day!! The metal screws into plastic were really tough to turn so I hit them with a little oil and now they go much easier.
Loved your tutorial. Changed it in -20C. Wish I had found out your video earlier. Anyway it may come in handy next time. I had hard time pulling the light out even with the tabs removed as I wasn't sure how to do it, but your video made it easy to understand.Good job
I used a needle-nose plier to remove the x-washer. Secondly, I used a #11 x-acto blade and carefully lifted out the black o-ring washer. I popped the x-washer back in and that's all it took. One minute tops. No drilling involved.
great idea, Im actually going to try that. Just so you know if that's pex-a it is forever contracting to its original state, so, you can expand it all the way without worry.
At 2:35 .... mine did not come loose and held on at the upper left corner (positioned like you have it). All five screws are removed. Your lid lifts off so easily. Update: I had to force my off and something broke; it might be something created to show that the unit has been tampered or disassembled. I was able to complete your process, get it back together, and unfortunately the unit still runs without shutting off. Might be blown censors though they looked fine. Way too much trouble to take back apart to replace. I would recommend that if people are going to do this, they go ahead and replace the censors.
I'm having the same issue now. I think mine is going to break also. That one edge is hanging on with a gorilla grip. I have no idea how to get it loose. I'm stuck though, because if I don't break it to continue it's a giant paperweight because it doesn't work at all. Oh, well. 😞
There are 6 screws, one is located behind the "void warranty" sticker. Not sure why they didn't show that in the clip, it's the only issue I had with the repair.
