@@really.savage tbh even if it works that ain't playable for me. I'm above recommended specs, I should get that experience then. I mounted a new cpu cooler today and cleared the game cache, the game works better with drops to 40 😂.
@@dekzr691 trash game, and trash optimization. Just play BF1 you get 120+ with that rig and you will feel the smoothness of the game, I like to mention BF1 because it's God tier optimization in that game.
Is it common to FPS go down drastically under extreme firefights? I use low settings, no upscalling, 75 fps capped, RX 7600. Sometimes it goes down to 35-40 fps in multiplayer. Test maps and training map gives 75 fps with epic settings around 50% GPU usage. My CPU or rest of the system runs without problem.
It is common phenomenon of fps drops whenever there is artillery or mortar or any extreme gunfights. The game is quite old now since its inception but still the game is relatively non optimised. Test maps are not for benchmarking. Get into 100 player game and go to the place in the map where max enemies are marked. That fps test of squad.
ryzen 7 2700x / rog strix 2060 super and 2x8 ddr4 ..... barely get 30fps and when in gun fights it drops to like 8-10 fps .. please help what would be my best upgrade without overkilling the other components of my pc
Your CPU is quite old. Try toning down some settings and resolution. Use DLSS and NIS. Ensure windows is optimised and if you are upgrading, upgrade both cpu and GPU. And also make ram 16x2.
@@really.savage you have any suggestions on what to upgrade to ... im still new to all of this and notsure whats my best route , thanks for the feedback !
@superboy7661 you might need to upgrade the motherboard also to support modern hardware. Ryzen 6th or 7th gen/ intel 13th/14 th gen processor Nvidia rtx 4060/4070 Amd radeon 7800xt Ram ddr5 32gb. That will be a complete overhaul of your system. If money is not an issue. Go for this major upgrade
Not intentionally i restarted the pc and game. Thats the only map i got without waiting 20 mins in queue. So it was not planned, intention was to get the actuals in a real game and not in training mode.
I used to enjoy playing this game on my RTX 3060 Laptop now its becomw such a blurry mess even on low settings I am scared it will detoriate my vision so no longer play.I get fps of 60-55 mostly
@@really.savage Oh I figured it out I had not noticed that scope resolution option changed it to 150 percent that fixed the blurry scope and and the RTX card only DLSS option fixed it now it runs capped most at 65 fps+ all the time almost for regular games as in non modded servers.
You have a decent rig already, if u can go u can start with getting another 16 gb ram for duabl channel or 2x8gb if u already have 2x8gb. If u need to go all in maybe a newer gen CPU with more cores will help you a lot. GPU is still great for handling squad. Just get the cooling part right
@@really.savage Thank you for the recommendation, ordered another kit for 16 gb to be in the amount of 32. Also increased the swap file on the disk on which the game is installed, the freezes disappeared and crashed, maybe someone will need this information.
i had mine installed on my extra storage HD, now i moved it to ssd sata, the stuttering reduced like 70 ~~ 80%, i just see stuttering when i enter on game and the players are still spawning. my vsync is turned off
Hey, I use an rx 6500xt (my first pc) and a 5500 cpu and I run the game squad med at 90 - 100 fps and it’s a really reliable pc for the price . If you play military games and you want a cheap and reliable gpu I recommend this card!! ( I run over 100 fps in med dcs )
I have a 3060 + 10400, and it is loaded at 40-70% percent, fps is 40-50 on average. I made the priority due to changes in the registry, but still not 100% used. The same fps on high and minimum settings.
You can Try display driver uninstaller and nvclean for clean install of nvidia drivers. moreover uninstalling the game. rebooting the system . deleting the leftover files and then finally reinstalling might help. Only suggested if you have a good internet connection and data allowance.
@really.savage I have done all of this even reset windows all the games working perfectly with dx 12 just this game not working and it's sucks because I love this game its so good
did you maybe try using studio drivers? I'm playing with RTX 4500 ADA what is essentially 4070 with DX12. But of course I'm using quadro drivers because of this. Still, studio drivers might help. I'm using version 551.52.
Tip: Enable XMP Profile in Bios Settings as well as the bpo. Those are 2 Clicks and you can do nothing wrong with it. Got from 83 fps and drops to 45fps to 115fps and drops to 97.
Been playing the game in 4K with my RTX 4080 on my LG C1 OLED, max settings with DLAA and get constant 100fps. The game is so much better now. I'm getting 15+ kill games every time. Love this game.
How? at 1440p I have a 3070 and an AMD 5600x but can barely pass 40fps even with every single setting on low. Drivers are up to date and all that, but GPU utilization never passes 40%
@uncannyvalley3190 hi there i also have same setup just 3070ti laptop version. What i do is use dx12 instead of dx11. You need not use DLSS. Just select NVIDIA DLSS and use upscaling setting to none. That is u are not actually using DLSS, just bare dx12. If u further need fps then set DLSS to auto. Try this lemme know later
Intel Arc . I never had any opportunity of using it. However this 13th gen machine will be able to get decent frames of 60-80. And further more post tuning
@5.7dobey disable all overlays discord steam overwolf and others coz they eat some resources. Instead for fos monitoring use the inbuilt command in squad “stat FPS” . Just keep the drivers updated. You are good to go and rain down artillery on enemies in squad.
