l love this game and recently set up all my old consoles and having a blast!! Feel like a kid again!! How do you move side to side in the batters box?? l don't think l ever knew about that!!
Was i the only one that felt the default pitching in this was too slow and maxed out the slider to give me the most realistic reaction time? That alone made this game so much more fun and challenging on the hardest level. I remember winning a game 3-2 in a 27 inning game using almost my entire pitching roster and the nerves i would get every extra inning just made pulling the victory out that much sweeter. and my win-loss record was realistic losing 60-70 games a year.
I recently purchased this game and it feels looks and feels like the last one I bought which was the Show 2020, it’s past time for these games to improve on graphics, I know that would be tough to do every year but how long will they just copy and paste from previous games
I loved that I could play this game on auto fielding (but could still pitch) because it added a variable that allowed the computer to be more competitive without making the game impossible for me. I also was way less frustrated by BS fielding errors.
The two things I didn’t like about this game was how they didn’t have every D1 team (example: no Coastal Carolina) and the seasons in Dynasty were limited to I believe 3 seasons. But I’m nitpicking, great game
People who think this is the best baseball game ever either never played MLB 2005 on the PS2 or don't know how to play it. That game is worlds better and the pinnacle of baseball games. No other baseball game even comes close
Because of 05 I only played 04 for a year. If they stopped at 04 this would be up there for one of the best games ever. I now want to play this again and take a break from 05.
The fact that you could unlock all the classic stadiums and play in them even in dynasty mode, alone, makes this game the GOAT. And there wasn't just 3 or 4 classic stadiums... it literally felt like 30-40. There was a ton. Just no Kingdome, unfortunately. I used to play in the Astrodome or Olympic Stadium w/ the Mariners and pretend it was the Kingdome. Good times.
Great video on my favorite baseball game of all time! Earned my sub, for sure! Hitting mini game is so fun and I'm loving playing the dynasty mode again all these years later.
We need a baseball game that lets you have more than five pitches, Yu Darvish throws 11. And the option to go to college in road to the show. And the most obvious addition, tattoos!

I liked it for a little while, but high heat 2004 was the better game. But this one is a 9/10. High heat is a better experience, but it becomes very similar and quite artificial and one dimensional, even if it takes 100 games to get there.
This is the one EA sports game I never played, and I played them all since the first Madden on Genesis. After Triple Play baseball I was just tired of EA baseball. It was more of an Arcade game than a simulation.
