Real strange to see people on the side of Sheen who did everything wrong that could have gone wrong. It wasn't a good ending, but not cause of Lorre but of Sheen.
gotta say i love the final punchline. IDK if it was done on purpose or not, but chuck getting also smashed by a piano after he killed Charlie that way its a perfect metaphor.
looking back on it i almost like it, the ending is that Chuck and Charlie didn’t “win” in the end. Chuck’s show became shitty after he left, and Charlie lost all of his reputation past 2011. So the pianos crush them both, neither were “winning”. Only thing I don’t like about the episode is that all 40 minutes is just bashing Charlie, I get it already, lol. Only actually funny part was with Arnold.
I... like this. The show was always the worst thing that people just kept watching for some reason. Then it just kept getting worse and worse. With that in mind, this ending captures my feelings towards the show itself and its fans perfectly. Lorren's frustration towards Sheen became almost like an unintentionally functional meta narrative that exposed the slop for what it was even to the most diehard fans. It was never about entertaining you. It was about a paycheck. "Winning." This is the ending I would've given this show just to troll the viewers. It's more fun than anything else the show ever did. I feel... almost a catharsis when viewing this. All the times I saw people sitting on the couch, watching Two and A Half Men because "there's nothing else on." This. This is what you got invested in instead of doing literally anything else. You became Lorren's tool out of boredom and then got mad when the mask slipped off, spelling out the already obvious contempt. Winning, you are not.
Bro maybe its because i'm not at all attached to these characters but knowing all the context, this is the funniest thing ive ever seen and chuck lorre totally "won"
It's funny how there are so many old comments of absolutely butt hurt fans, while most recent comments are so possitive I also love the ending, Charlie Sheen almost killed the show with his behavior, and Chuck Lorre had his reveng years later through this episode His characters live a happy life while charlie is killed by his own piano. Poetic
Because the finale aired before Spring Break I’m 100% convinced the writers of the series were out of ideas. I never knew anyone impressed by this ending either
I respect Chuck Lorre for TBBT, Young Sheldon and first 75% of Two and half men but. . . taking personal feelings into a set is bad move. He knew it could happen again with TBBT when Jim Parsons told he wants to leave Sheldon Cooper role so he could continue TBBT but he knew EXACTLY how it could end or simply end it with perfect cast. I mean. . . thanks to this Sheen situation he learnt that he cant keep dragging whole show without main character, Two and half men lasted how much? 1 season without Sheen and became his biggest regrets.
@@CRT601 Not saying it did, I'm just more astounded that the writers and director would throw away their credibility like that. Literally the most unemployable thing they could have done.
@@Caannnnoonn Uhh, that doesn't make any sense. I think you're a bit confused, It's Charlie who went and made a fool of himself on live television and trashed his career.
The way I interpreted this is Chuck was like.. OK you don't do things my way then nobody wins here..he was bitter and rejected Charlie's idea and since it wasn't what Chuck wanted he did the death anyways minus the dialogue and then cut to himself saying winning only to also being crushed by a piano to signify that nobody came out "winning" on this one.
