Well I knew the Bechstein was good, but I didn't know how good 'til I heard you slaying it! BTW the new Bosendorfer is fantastic...would love to hear that under your fingers.
This sounds gorgeous! I'm curious if it's possible to get a sound somewhat close to this using the built in stage positioning thing, timbral presets and a reverb send or if you did something drastic to shape the sound.
Hey there and thanks for tuning in! THe sound is all about the source samples and their dynamic interaction. One little trick for harsh sounding strings is bringing down the frequencies around 3.15 kHz - that will mellow them out drastically. Have fun with your creative endeavors and please subscribe if you haven't already!! Take care!
@@RideTheFuture Thanks for the tip! I actually don't have LASS yet, I've been going through videos and it just sounds so much better here than everywhere else haha. I was also considering MSS since it's currently the same price but I think LASS sounds more alive
Hello! Congratulations on your videos! But I don't understand the reason for using midi tracks instead of instrument tracks. Please, is there anything better to use midi tracks, performance?
As good as the original E Model Rhodes was, it definitely couldn't do pitch bend! LOL. Listening to you play takes me back to those Jarreau/Graydon/Canning/Foster heydays.
Wowed!! Stephan, you are brilliant musician and designer. I have implemented so many of your; ideas settings and sound design. I just ordered FC3A for my old Clavinova 150. Is it still possible to purchase the Vibraphone you are using? Thank you Sir always inspiring to listen and watch you work.
Please help! What do you use to control the expression and drawbars.... I have a Roland Piano full 88 keys, Can't figure out what to do or if I need something with faders..Dave
Great work Stephan, i miss your content and especially hacks, they have made a huge difference in music. The vocalist has a great timbre, brings to mind a cross of Gino Vanelli an Bobby Caldwell. Very Best!
So in the articulations editor, I've noticed options such as Midi CC stack, Note Vel stack... What I haven't figured out is what MidiStackSm or VelStackSm options offer that differs? Been racking my head around it and couldn't find anything in documentation on what Sm stands for
Hi, I'm from Brazil. Congratulations on the work! tI saw in another video you posted using the LAA 3 that you played Violins, violas, Cellos... on a single track at the same time. I would like you to make a video showing the step by step you did, whether you used an instrument or midi track or both, etc.
Hi Stephan .... good preset man!!! Is there a way to obtain this preset from you ? I own the Studio version of PianoTeq 8.2 Cheerzzz -Rem (from Amsterdam, the Netherlands)
Really great to see you back Stefano... This arrangement is delightful and your mastery of the craft is fantastic... Interesting to see you using LASS 2 instead of the latest LASS 3 version. Take care and many blessings, Max
Congrats on your new masterpiece the arrangement is absolutely gorgeous and we need more videos like this. Tips: Valves Pro form NI and also Expanded legato from audio bro’s MSS is amazing for this kinda vibe. Cheers
Thanks so much for stopping by again Andrew - and thanks for the tip - I will look those up! More expression means greater emotion in our arrangements ;-)
Stephan, good to see and hear you again! It's truly a joy to listen to your tasteful arrangements. You are a magician when it comes to bring virtual instruments to life. It's inspiring. Thank you for sharing your knowledge Stephan. That said, watching your videos is not without risk, at least not for me... I just purchased the Samplemodeling Brass Bundle. 😉 and I will probably play those instruments using a breath controller. Keep up the good work and keep posting videos. They are some of the best one can find on youtube! 🙏
When I listened to the first few seconds of the video I was certain that this was a real orchestra 🤯 I am completely blown away. This is so incredibly beautiful. 😍 Well done🎉
So happy you liked this Myron! Please subscribe if you haven't already - there's a lot more of this special 'sauce' on my channel !! Thank you for listening/watching ;)
Alles gute 🍀 ❤
This is not a Pianoteq question, but I am interested in the MX88. How do you feel /What do you think about the MX88's action/touch/etc..? Anything weird/unusual/undesirable to point out (maybe noises, or anything really)? Thank you for your input/help!
The track below the one named "DRUMS" has the Superior Drummer 3 plug-in as an insert. As to which drum library kit or which kit parts are loaded in there, your guess is as good as mine …
Nice tone and ambience in general, and great playing, but I'm not a fan of the unnatrual way in which the Teldex room sound swells loudly after the sound from Pianoteq stops completely (e.g. around 12:48). I'm not familiar with the plugin so can't say what setting is causing that - maybe too much pre-delay - but it's pretty objectionable to my ear.
