Great tips Stephan - the Scarbee basses are pretty phenomenal (I have them all!). Your videos have proved to be a compelling rabbit hole for me, and it's so refreshing to find someone on YT who clearly understands their virtual instruments and the musical idioms of their real-life counterparts, and plays them in the way they're meant to be played. BTW, a tip that I hope is helpful - you don't need to apply your EQ and Bass Amp effects at the Group Insert level in order to affect the entire instrument. MM-Bass has 576 Groups (or 'patches' as you've called them) , so you're effectively inserting 576 instances of them! Global effects like those are best added at the Insert Effect level, thus needing only one instance of each. I'd apply effects as Group Inserts to individual Groups that need some sort of corrective tweaking - for example if a specific note Group sounds out of kilter (brighter, duller, louder, quieter) than its surrounding neighbours. Having said that, one creative application of adding an overdriven amp effect to all Groups has the advantage that you can play 'cleanly' distorted polyphonic parts (without the intermodulation) since each Group is being individually overdriven by its own Amp sim. It's great that Scarbee left their instruments 'unlocked' so you can get under the hood - many libraries are locked, which is annoying, and it's always the locked ones that have programming errors or dodgy samples that you can't do anything to correct! I love your enthusiasm for the quest for excellence, and look forward to delving onto more videos!
